I've been wondering about the thing you tied around the strings after the nut, I've seen a few people do that. Is it to keep vibrations down when you are doing tapping routines?
i was just writing my own arrangement of this to play, and i was thinking it would be awesome if i at least had something to go by and boom i stumble upon this. awesome! just awesome, thanks for posting!
I can't remember, that was a pretty long solo bass jam, and I just played a bit of the Bouree, and a bunch of other stuff that I chopped into other clips..
It's a pretty stock fender bullet with new-ish roundwound strings (nickel). It's a nice sounding bass, I miss it!!! I use that mute thing on occassion so I don't get low open string ring.
yeah, so right, try it in B minor, and if you've got 24 frets you can play most of it. But, really, this style of playing works so much better with a multi-string, in my opinion. It's really not so much the extended range, as it is about the options across the strings making for less shifting, and more strings so you're not running into the same string. Get a 6-er man! It's fun!
ok, good. but that's in B minor. i want to see that on E minor, it's what i'm trying to play

Cool, glad you like it. There's another video where I play it on 6, and there's an PDF of the arrangement on my blog.

Well done, better than the other guy 'cause you're not cheating with having 6 strings. :P Awesome, you should tab it out.
