I never understood the whole Pope thing. As a Christian, I know that I am under the authority of my Church Leaders, but this is a little too much. In my opinion, Jesus died so that I can have direct access to Him and for Him to hear my cries and forgive my sins. I don't need a bunch of men dressed in costumes to be the middle men between me and God. That's just me... It all just seems to be a huge business and side show. There is no one person to be considered God on Earth... that is just wrong!

i am not sure why so many of you do not like Him or at least why do you bother with POPE he is Catholic Leader and you should respect him if you love your own or your self at least ....Crazy women as we can see could not be outside of Catholic Mass she had to come in to make a problem are all of you doing the same thing too ...making problems...it takes strength to show respect ..can you guys do that?or not?
This whole institution belongs back in the Middle Ages. The fact that humans still carry on this non-sense is shameful. It's a bunch of silly apes dressed up in costumes, while the world continues to fest in the same old war & greed. What has the Pope ever done to improve the world?
I like Sarah Silverman's idea: if Catholics really wanted to help the poor and do good works, they should sell the entire Vatican as a fund-raiser, and GIVE IT TO THE POOR.

what ever it is we should respect, the leaders of each religion. Religion is made for good will of man kind.

That supposed "good-will" produced the Crusades, the inquisition, etc.
