People who use their cell phones in the movie theaters piss me off

Well, talking on the phone is one thing, but laughing at a movie's joke is another thing. I got pissed when I was laughing at a movie's joke today and someone just whispered to me to shut up, while other pepole are laughing too. And if I it's something amazing about a scene or if it's the climax, I gasp or say "Oh shit that was cool" I mean, I can't help it, it's my emotion...Mine! I don't like it when pepole get angry cause i'm enjoying the movie. The movie was "In Time" with Timberlake!

I had taken my 7 year old half sister to see Cars 2 (which was my first 3D movie experience) last weekend at the Loews White Marsh, MD theater & about 20 min. into the movie, 3 peoples cell phones start ringing! I was PISSED! I had paid $30 for the two of us to get in, which includes a $5 per person 3D surcharge, $10 for 2 sodas, and I had to deal with this. If they were in the row in front of us, I would have tapped them on the shoulder and asked them to leave! There's no courtesy anymore.

I usually go see movies at eleven am (just saw xmen at that time, awesome movie!!)

but i remember when fast five came out and my bf wanted to see it that friday night or whatever. oh my goodness!! people wouldn't shut up!!

hi i work in theater and this is an issue for those who dont see the problem tell me so i can flash my cell phone on you, look i know you wanted to pay $13 so you seat in a dark room and text but some of us came in to see a movie. so if any one sees any txters ,talkers and those sneaking in the through the exits doors( hey you paid alot so they should too) please come up to us cuase we hate it too!

@TRASHRAVEN exactly. I've worked in a theater before, but this was before the times cell phones were popular. Back then, the big deal was being just talking and being loud, and the occasional person sneaking in.

It does bother me quite a bit when people talk during the movie, and the light from their phone does distract me when they text, but I admit to never turning off my phone either. I do put it on silent, but never all the way off.

My school actually bans pagers. Cellphones are allowed to be had, just not used. But pagers are banned completely.
