  • There is nothing more beautiful than voices of a Great Choir, and the sounds of talented, passionate organist!

  • Behold oh Israel, thy Lord God is One

  • ONE WORD (PERFECT)

  • 3:26 "And all who would might enter and no one was denied" just a little ironic.

  • love this song :) all i wish is that the sorpranos were a little more toned down when they were singing with the altos, so you could hear both parts at the same time...

  • Can someone of you tell me in which CD is this song? Or maybe who is the music director or who has composed this arrangement for the Mormon Choir? All the informations you can give me are happily accepted. Thanks.

  • LDS Church Choir.

The best choir in the world!

  • Are they all dead???

  • Beautiful rendition, just heavenly. Thanks for posting.

  • R.I.P. John Goodbody.

  • I Love thios song wow ...... very fantastic

  • the song is beautiful and beautifully sang......how much more when we will all sing this song in heavean.....so therefore sisters and brothers whatever church or faith we got let us keep our faith ever burning.....we'll see each other at the doorway to heaven welcoming each other!!!

  • A very nice rendition!

  • Youtube Jeanette McDonald singing this. You'll flip on how beautiful she sings it. It's simply amazing!

  • The choir sounds a lot different in person than the actual recording. I still like Charlotte Church's version of this song a LOT better...

  • HEAVENLY, PRAISE GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD, AMEN & AMEN

  • My Mom did this last Sunday on the organ. :D

  • So nice to hear this with ORGAN accompaniment. The last time I sang it I was accompanied by a lovely 92-year-old friend who had been a music teacher. I won't compliment myself, but her performance was wonderful, and very meaningful to the congregation.

  • I love this song!! My choir and I are doing this song on Passion (Palm) Sunday. I cannot wait to sing this song.

  • I also like Larry Ford's version the best. Just bought it on itunes. But, what a powerful song. Esp. when you are in Jerusalem and listen to it.

  • Gladys Wells used to sing this in our Chapel

  • This looks like the rotunda at the Utah State Capital in Salt Lake City.

  • Ah yes, this is the sound of The Tabernacle Choir that I grew up on! They are still wonderful, but the tone of the choir is much lighter and less thrilling in dynamics these days.

  • I like Larry Ford's version better. (Gaither Israel Homecoming)

  • Why does everyone sing this song so fast. It's beautiful but needs to be slower.

  • @Bossmanrocks i agree i thought it was quite fast, my choir is singing this in the National Concert Hall in Dublin on sunday night and we sing it slower, i prefer it slower!

  • What a pity about the pathetic organist ( or the arranger). I am sure the organ is one of the best instruments of its kind in the world. This wonderful choral performance needs much more organ "oomph"!

  • Not crazy about the organist. They deserve a more hearty musician. too dry!

  • an amazing version of this is sung by mahalia jackson, and is also on you tube.

  • love it, what a beautiful song! Heard this song first in Dutch as a child!

  • this choir never fail to impress just wonderful

  • Excellent. Sounds like angels singing. I am R.C. and we never sound like this.

  • @march131958 what is RC?

  • @Evangeline220

    RC means Roman Catholic

  • @march131958

What rubbish! Roman Catholics can produce angelic singing!

There are millions of RCs and countless wonderful soloists and choirs who sing Catholic religious music.

I don't like this version. It is almost 3/4 waltz tempo.

  • @bairen2002 This is the Lord's personal choir.

  • Beautiful! I have good memories of this hymn!

  • one of the most beautiful songs and here with the best choir in the world the MTC, it´s something else, BRILLIANT, SUPERB, EXTRAORDINARY, AND IT SEEMS WE ARE TOUCHING HEAVEN

  • How nice and gentil. This song needs to be sung with conviction.

Mind you, considering the mess they make of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic", it's not surprising.

  • The Voice of God that is speaking thru this choir and organ. Simply beautiful

  • It could be better. A little technological boost could make it sound immeasurably better. But this song/album has been horribly neglected. Please, someone, re-issue this on CD!

  • Why isn't this on CD? It's from The Mormon Tabernacle Choir Sings Christmas Carols, an old LP from the '50s. Every Christmas I look for a re-issue and never find it, though when I go on-line it's obvious it's a much-loved album with some unusual pieces on it (like this one, seldom sung at Christmas). I sent my LP away to have it transferred, and the result was both expensive and atrocious, with nothing but distortion (which I also hear in this version: any time the volume increases.)

  • I like to believe that Jesus applauded with total joy when he heard this! Stunningly sung!

  • I agree with you snowgirl10523; they surely sound like anges...

  • They sound like angels.

  • wow.

  • Hosanna to the Highest!

  • Beautiful as always
