@khulik Look, I don't want to get into this boring and moreover pointless discussion. Vilnius has always been and always will be the capital of Lithuania.
Please understand that to you, poles, Vilnius is just another county/district whilst to us (lithuanians) it is a historical capital. Please understand and respect that. After all this is my city. This is where I was born and this is where I grew up. I'm no nazi, nor I'm trying to be one so please understand that Vilnius means a lot more to us.
Small fact: Vilnus was capital of Grand Dutchy of Lithuania. Is this the same as Lithuania? Probably not.
We don't want Vilnus, we want respacting our minorty laws. Don't lie that polish minorty laws are on high level, I can hear a lot of anti-polish "facts" from Lithuania history from mr.Songaila and mr.Garsva. "It's sure, that is only polish fault, that RBN has fallen. Not prussian, russian and austrian. Ours."
@khulik Definitely not the same, but so is today's independent LT is different from what it was during 1918-1940. GDL and the modern day LT still have many similarities. One of them - the Lithuanian nation itself. Today's Poland is also different compared to Kingdom of Poland simply because today it is a republic. Besides, Sikorsky is a nazi. Not only that he overwhelmingly abuse us, but he's also somewhat anti-belarussian.
I can hear from your ideological friend side slanders like: "If not polish nobles, we would be biggest country in Europe". But they don't remember, that if not LITHUANIAN nobles, there was be no Union (LT nobles wanted laws, which had polish ones).
Don't tell me about these **** Sikorski and Klich (polish defence minister). Klich is destroying polish army, Sikorski is not only anty-belarussian. He's anti-polish as well. You can see this, when you look on his actions.
@khulik About the polititians: Songaila and Garsva are also pretty unpopular here. I hope you do realize that this feud between our nations has been caused by a third party, which is probably yet to be revealed and the goal of that party is that we start hating each other first, start cutting each other's throats, then start shooting each other and eventually destroy each other. We shouldn't give up our minds to all this propaganda don't you think?
But in case on Poland there's 100, that our ancestors were these, which e.g. your ancestors called "Poles".
But GDL was on territory of today's 5 countries: Lithuania (all), Belarus (all), Ukraine (for some time bigger part) and for Russia and Poland-tiny parts.
But, who were ppl, which in these times were called "Lithuanians". Were they Balts or Slavs?
Well, today we can hear stronger and stronger, that they were Slavs. That means, that Lithuanians from XVII century...
@khulik I do not know where all this information you are getting from, but there's a lot more stronger evidence that Lithuanians were Balts. If they were not Balts then who are Latvians? Germanic tribes? You see, that doesn't make sense. Both Lithuanians and Latvians are the last remaining Baltic descedants. Make a little research on Lithuanian language and you will find out that the roots of baltic and slavic languages differ drastically. Moreover look at the territory from which GDL started to
This, which founded GDL-for sure they were Balts. But were they the same nation, which was called "Lithuanian" e.g. in XVII century. We are even not sure, which Jagiełlo (Jogaila) language spoke.
Yes, GDL conquered huge land, ruled by Ruthenians. But it started from tiny state.
To language once again: I'm speaking polish as my national language, but what disturbs me speaking English? Nothing. Maybe Slavic language from second language became later to first one.
@khulik Lithuanians - were the largest Baltic tribe of all the Baltic tribes. Balts occupied these territories way earlier than slavs - something that everyone agrees with and there's archeological evidence that proves it. Slavic tribes emerged later. As for Lithuanians... YES we are the descendants of the Baltic tribes. I know why you doubt it because back in the middle ages every resident of GDL (no matter what was his nationality) was called Lithuanians to simply identify his citizenship, not
So, with whom Poles (Polans?) attacked in 1009? Air? No. They attacked something we called "Grody Czerwińskie" and Kievan Ruthenia. So don't tell me, that there were no Slavs.
@khulik No offence, but your last statement was a little silly. I'm talking about the tribes here, not nations. The Baltic tribes settled here in 4th century B.C. (could be even earlier, I'm not sure). Slavic tribes emerged much later, but before 1009 A.D. :)))
"Archeology", yes? Political "archeology". We don't have many proves, what happended that times.
My city is probably oldest in Poland, named also oldest polish city (name "Calisia" was firstly written by Ptolemaus in II century A.C.), but nobody have proves, that it was not Germanic tribe, who settled this city.
Once again about Garsva and Songaila-they can be not popular, but your goverment is using their doctrines.
@khulik So what am I supposed to do? If you do a little research and talk to LT folks you will find out that our government has become pretty much like Cosa Nostra. If you think that our government represents our will then you are wrong, my friend. Our government doesn't care what either you (poles) or we (lithuanians) think. If I had the power I would make it legal to have your passport/identity card name include non-lithuanian alphabet letters. If fact, I would meet with most of your demands..
But it's not a fault of all gooverment (in Poland we have similar situations). It's fault of "Vilnija", which have big influence on goverment and of course fault of Ażubalis.
Directly conversely. It's Lithuanian anti-polish organisation with mr.Garsva, which wants denationalise minorties in Lithuania (especially polish one in Vilnus region).
@khulik Do you know how large our universe is? If a single light-year (distance that light travels in a year) is 9,460,730,472,580.8 km (9,46 TRILLION kilometers!!) and our universe is about 14,7 billion light-years wide then the number is simply too hard to comprehend with when 9,460,730,472,580.8 multiplied to a 14,700,000,000 !!!!
Universe is SO IMMENSE and yet we (our nations) still fight over something stupid... Isn't that just silly? I'd suggest we better collaborate in space exploration!!
@khulik ... except for one. That is - polish street names on buildings.
No offence, but I couldn't find any logical explanation why are they needed.
And don't tell me that lithuanians living in Suwalki (Lith. Suvalkai) have the right to attach an additional street name to their house in their own language.
In Opole's Silesia (southern Poland) we have 10% Germans (I prefer calling them Krauts XD). They are 10% of population... and they have their own city names (I saw it personaly).
If Lithuanians in Suwałki are 10% they should have possibility to have this kind of name streets. If not... well, that would mean that polish goverment broke agreement of PL-LT pact and EU. But what with Poles in parts of Wileńsczyzna (Wilno region), in which some parts are 80% polish?
@khulik There's just one part which is 80% and yet it's territory is very small with also a very small population. It's even smaller than my block here in Vilnius.
What about Ažubalis? What's he got to do with poor PL-LT relations? I've never heard him speak neither negatively nor positively about polish minorities in Lithuania.
One of his last speeches "Polish minorty has no problems in Lithuania".
If I know good, in Vilnus there's 20% Poles. All Wileńszczyzna is home for Lithuanian Poles. EU law says, that 20% is enough to two-language boards if minorty wants them.
@khulik Well actually the Polish minority has a lot less problems in Lithuania than they do in Belarus.Which means that the speech you are talking about is somewhat a true statement though not a whole 100%. But let's not get into the details. I'm pretty sure that justice will be brought sometime in the future. Just be patient. Remember that either Rome wasn't built in a day and please stop blackmailing us. 90% of us (Lithuanians) don't deserve to be called "stupid", "dumb" or especially "nazis".
@khulik I know. It shouldn't be that way. Good relations between our nations must be restored or at least normalized. It is simply not right, but the biggest problem is that it ll depends on political will. And I suspect that someone is personally interested that our relations are to remain poor. I don't know who it is nor I wish to speculate, but as long as there's lack of political will, there's nothing we can do about our poor relations. You call it "democracy", I call it "dictatorship dress-
@khulik ..What I mean about that is that I saw your other posts on other videos and channels where you blackmailed us. Remember that one or two persons don't represent the whole nation. If fact I've meet some pretty dumb Poles in my life and yet I don't try to address the Polish nation as a "bunch of dummies". Stupid people are will always be stupid, regardless of their nationality.
About Vilnius: today Poles make up less than 18% of Vilnius city population. I assume it's around 15%.
Yes, and I don't represent polish nation. But I will not be patient, if some retarded Germans, Lithuanians or Ukrainians are offending my country. My action is always reaction on insult. Non-provoked I'll write nothing.
@khulik About polish nobles: I really don't wanna start a discussion on this topic, because there are still many facts unknown. No one really knows why the territory of our country shrank so hard. I'm sure there's still a lot more archeological facts waiting to be discovered and hard evidence why Lithuania from that size came up to this size.

Nice video and nice song. Just cant see the point of singing about Paris while video is about Vilnius- Lithuanian capital. No wonder people are lost and don't understand neither what Vilnius nor what Lithuania is.
Maybe the author should put the explanation in description of this clip, so people knew and there were less misunderstandings.

"It's sure, that is only polish fault, that RBN has fallen. Not prussian, russian and austrian. Ours."
Discussion is pointless, but thanks to you.
khulik 11 months ago
@khulik Definitely not the same, but so is today's independent LT is different from what it was during 1918-1940. GDL and the modern day LT still have many similarities. One of them - the Lithuanian nation itself. Today's Poland is also different compared to Kingdom of Poland simply because today it is a republic. Besides, Sikorsky is a nazi. Not only that he overwhelmingly abuse us, but he's also somewhat anti-belarussian.
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@WarIsNeverPretty
You can see this, when you look on his actions.
khulik 11 months ago
@khulik About the polititians: Songaila and Garsva are also pretty unpopular here. I hope you do realize that this feud between our nations has been caused by a third party, which is probably yet to be revealed and the goal of that party is that we start hating each other first, start cutting each other's throats, then start shooting each other and eventually destroy each other. We shouldn't give up our minds to all this propaganda don't you think?

@WarIsNeverPretty
That means, that Lithuanians from XVII century...
khulik 11 months ago
@khulik I do not know where all this information you are getting from, but there's a lot more stronger evidence that Lithuanians were Balts. If they were not Balts then who are Latvians? Germanic tribes? You see, that doesn't make sense. Both Lithuanians and Latvians are the last remaining Baltic descedants. Make a little research on Lithuanian language and you will find out that the roots of baltic and slavic languages differ drastically. Moreover look at the territory from which GDL started to
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@WarIsNeverPretty
Nothing. Maybe Slavic language from second language became later to first one.
khulik 11 months ago
@khulik Lithuanians - were the largest Baltic tribe of all the Baltic tribes. Balts occupied these territories way earlier than slavs - something that everyone agrees with and there's archeological evidence that proves it. Slavic tribes emerged later. As for Lithuanians... YES we are the descendants of the Baltic tribes. I know why you doubt it because back in the middle ages every resident of GDL (no matter what was his nationality) was called Lithuanians to simply identify his citizenship, not
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@WarIsNeverPretty
So, with whom Poles (Polans?) attacked in 1009? Air? No. They attacked something we called "Grody Czerwińskie" and Kievan Ruthenia. So don't tell me, that there were no Slavs.
khulik 11 months ago
@khulik No offence, but your last statement was a little silly. I'm talking about the tribes here, not nations. The Baltic tribes settled here in 4th century B.C. (could be even earlier, I'm not sure). Slavic tribes emerged much later, but before 1009 A.D. :)))
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@WarIsNeverPretty
And they settled where? On Ukraine?
"Archeology", yes? Political "archeology". We don't have many proves, what happended that times.
My city is probably oldest in Poland, named also oldest polish city (name "Calisia" was firstly written by Ptolemaus in II century A.C.), but nobody have proves, that it was not Germanic tribe, who settled this city.
Once again about Garsva and Songaila-they can be not popular, but your goverment is using their doctrines.
khulik 11 months ago
@khulik So what am I supposed to do? If you do a little research and talk to LT folks you will find out that our government has become pretty much like Cosa Nostra. If you think that our government represents our will then you are wrong, my friend. Our government doesn't care what either you (poles) or we (lithuanians) think. If I had the power I would make it legal to have your passport/identity card name include non-lithuanian alphabet letters. If fact, I would meet with most of your demands..
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@WarIsNeverPretty
But it's not a fault of all gooverment (in Poland we have similar situations). It's fault of "Vilnija", which have big influence on goverment and of course fault of Ażubalis.
khulik 11 months ago
@khulik In one of your earlier comments you mentioned the word "Vilnija". What is that? A Polish organization or something?
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@WarIsNeverPretty
Directly conversely. It's Lithuanian anti-polish organisation with mr.Garsva, which wants denationalise minorties in Lithuania (especially polish one in Vilnus region).
khulik 11 months ago
@khulik Do you know how large our universe is? If a single light-year (distance that light travels in a year) is 9,460,730,472,580.8 km (9,46 TRILLION kilometers!!) and our universe is about 14,7 billion light-years wide then the number is simply too hard to comprehend with when 9,460,730,472,580.8 multiplied to a 14,700,000,000 !!!!
Universe is SO IMMENSE and yet we (our nations) still fight over something stupid... Isn't that just silly? I'd suggest we better collaborate in space exploration!!

khulik 11 months ago
@khulik Gives me a feeling that you know more about the LT politicians than I do. :D
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@khulik ... except for one. That is - polish street names on buildings.
No offence, but I couldn't find any logical explanation why are they needed.
And don't tell me that lithuanians living in Suwalki (Lith. Suvalkai) have the right to attach an additional street name to their house in their own language.
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@WarIsNeverPretty
But what with Poles in parts of Wileńsczyzna (Wilno region), in which some parts are 80% polish?
khulik 11 months ago
@khulik There's just one part which is 80% and yet it's territory is very small with also a very small population. It's even smaller than my block here in Vilnius.
What about Ažubalis? What's he got to do with poor PL-LT relations? I've never heard him speak neither negatively nor positively about polish minorities in Lithuania.
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@WarIsNeverPretty
One of his last speeches "Polish minorty has no problems in Lithuania".
If I know good, in Vilnus there's 20% Poles. All Wileńszczyzna is home for Lithuanian Poles. EU law says, that 20% is enough to two-language boards if minorty wants them.
khulik 11 months ago
@khulik Well actually the Polish minority has a lot less problems in Lithuania than they do in Belarus.Which means that the speech you are talking about is somewhat a true statement though not a whole 100%. But let's not get into the details. I'm pretty sure that justice will be brought sometime in the future. Just be patient. Remember that either Rome wasn't built in a day and please stop blackmailing us. 90% of us (Lithuanians) don't deserve to be called "stupid", "dumb" or especially "nazis".
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@WarIsNeverPretty
Tell me: is it good for your country (in EU) to be compared to dictatorship like Belarus?
Dude, from this speech I gave only this, which was between "".
From "If I know..." it was my opinion.
Where I blackmailed you?
khulik 11 months ago
@khulik Oops... my bad. What I had in mind saying "Blackmail" was "Slander" ^^ Sorry, my mistake.
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@WarIsNeverPretty
Now I understand. Well, as I said before: slander for slander.
khulik 11 months ago
@khulik I know. It shouldn't be that way. Good relations between our nations must be restored or at least normalized. It is simply not right, but the biggest problem is that it ll depends on political will. And I suspect that someone is personally interested that our relations are to remain poor. I don't know who it is nor I wish to speculate, but as long as there's lack of political will, there's nothing we can do about our poor relations. You call it "democracy", I call it "dictatorship dress-
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@khulik -ed like democracy".
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@khulik ..What I mean about that is that I saw your other posts on other videos and channels where you blackmailed us. Remember that one or two persons don't represent the whole nation. If fact I've meet some pretty dumb Poles in my life and yet I don't try to address the Polish nation as a "bunch of dummies". Stupid people are will always be stupid, regardless of their nationality.
About Vilnius: today Poles make up less than 18% of Vilnius city population. I assume it's around 15%.
WarIsNeverPretty 11 months ago
@WarIsNeverPretty

Great job all in all. Thank you.
