  • YEC's are either stupid or just ignorant, which as Richard dawkins says can be remedied although I think the man is an idiot myself though.

  • This show leaves out several extinctions...

  • I love trilobites

  • this sucks tell us how the animals even got there

  • @ariarmenalex

Not even top scientists know how life began!

  • 8 creationists...

  • seriously, why the hell are so many morons in this comment page? just look at all those moron

  • Earth used to be a SCARY ASS PLACE, yo!!!

    That should be the prologue.

    ...damn, look at those bugs...

  • I got the frickin' shock of my life when he said 'Thea'... my name is Thea, I was like eh?

  • Planets are round because of gravity. Not saying there isn't a god, maybe god made the laws of physics Idk. I'm not audacious enough to pretend I know in either way.

  • now how will you explain the existence of protein which is the main component of living organism such as bacteria in that molten world?...the symbiotic relationship between human and plants?..do you believe that big bang and evolution theory is true?...if big bang was an accident, how come planets are round?...that's because there is a designer of this existing universe..there is a creator...and a very intelligent creator..His knowledge is way beyond than ours for us to understand. :)

  • you can still be religious and belive in this ust saying

  • @truvelocity Which point? I raised four.

  • Maybe there will time machine i go to that age and snap a anomolacaris

  • When this series came out, I made my daughters watch it.

  • Thea was Earth, the larger one was Thea... LOL!

  • Does anyone know why they insisted on doing the quick-change thing? It ruined the show for me. Not only does it break the pseudo-documentary mood (and introduce blatant pro-vertebrate bias); it destroys sympathy for the animals to suggest that they're only important as links in a chain, not for themselves. Plus, the image itself is wrong: evolution doesn't mean that one species *becomes* another, it means that it *gives birth to* another.

  • @Congregans In the UK, the average kid already understands the concept you've brought up. Creationists in America do not, so your point is valid.

  • where is the rest of doc?

  • Haikuicthys: The Adam and Eve of fish

  • whats the tiny green lizzards name

  • How the heck did they KNEW THESE THINGS!!!

  • @TheJBongz fossils

  • @AngryPugProductions thanks!!!

  • this is documentary right?

  • @falamunin Yup.

  • religion is a load of shit. period. deal with it because evolution - science will always win

  • @Titaniumgoblin and in the q'uran the world is flat .......... bullshit

  • When i see this then i dont understand why so many people still want to believe in fairie tales about Adam and Eve, I mean the arguments that they come up with stand no ground against proving that what you have found in acctual Layers of rock that make up the earth , i mean its the same concept as a Three and her inner rings of age, and even the different races of men prove that Nature or "God" Drives our excistance into an Evolution.

  • Adam and Eve disliked this.

  • @ManifestPrime Adamn and Evil*

  • i take earth sci in the 8 grade and i was like oooo i know ow that happened but now we are learing metorlogy :(

  • I believe the earth was created and this was one of gods way of creating thing... how can people be so closed minded, believing the word it self is a little bit different than believing the concept of the paragraph!

  • Where's Part 2? If those copyright freaks removed it then I hope they get eaten by an Anomalocaris

  • We watched this in science but she skipped parts we loved it in walking with monsters we were getting over excited on the animals and we watched walking with beasts and we added commentary it was fun!

  • 8:17

"He may not look like your or I"

GOD FUCKING DAMMIT otherwise awesome show

  • WAIT!!!! but the earth is only 6000 years old!!!!!.........just kidding

  • 2 people are Young Earth Creationists.

  • @Kn1gHtMaRe00 nope 4 now :( tis a sad sad thing

  • @Kn1gHtMaRe00

So I guess this guy is an Ape-Theist...

  • giant impact theory, recognized as most valid explanation of moon's formation since 1984.

  • @ElectricPyroclast NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE SUMMER OF 1984!!!!! Sorry I just had to say that.

  • behind the scenes: 'walking with idiots'

  • and so big bang theory was born

  • The guy who narrated this series was Kenneth Branagh, the director of the superhero movie Thor.

  • I have a DVD of this along with Walking with Dinosaurs and Big Al Special :3

  • I'm about to squeeze my Mrs boobys :-)

  • Dude am i the only one who thinks the anomalocaris is completely adorable?

  • @groovylocks yes

  • @groovylocks Your not alone buddy, I think the same

  • Hey, where's the environment stats?

  • @ElectricPyroclast they talk a little about it as i recall (a VERY little.. things like air quality and percent of gasses and kinds of plants and surface temperature.) But.. yeah. I wanted to know more about that and the geology too

  • I like this series just, the time spent in the different eras is shorter and they dont show as many animals as walking with dinosaurs or beasts, other than that it's my favorite one of the series

  • @grey9438 i think they just don't know as much about these ancient animals as they do about dinos and beasts. But they could have speculated a LITTLE more..

  • those fish are like underwater mosquitoes. leave the anomicaris alone!!!

  • now we have two retardosaurs who couldnt get this

  • 240p booooooo!

  • Awesome

  • at 5:06....the music looks like 2 snakes fighting

  • At first I thought this would be cool. But it's just some evolutionary-athiest crap.

  • @MusicMan53100 Ohw... religious are we? Please, we don't want your stupidity around here.

  • @Scorm101 Me? I'm stupid? Lmfaorotfl! He who accepts the painting but not the existance of the painter is the real idiot!

  • @MusicMan53100 What? Damn I should stop arguying with religious people, sheep all of em. They could be looking at all the evidence in the world, and still cling to this God, while ignoring everything else.

You know why people are Atheist? We don't like to look for simple answers like: God did it.

We want to know how this world works, and how we came to be. Show me evidence of Gods existance and I'll gladly become religious.

  • @MusicMan53100 Except that we dont have the evidence of the painter's existence.

  • That dick broke the camera lens!

  • 2 ppl dislike this because they are Muslims.

And if they are not muslim then they are psycho religious yanks.

Afterall its all the same :)

    True Story.

  • Don't bring god here, he has no place among scientific fact.

  • i want to be look like that fish ..

  • God didnt create people. Its the other way around.

  • Thea brought the seeds of life. It is proven fact

  • @shadowdestoroyah And That was the first form of sex.

  • @MrRayquazaking No , Ancient Mythology was.

  • Sorry I made a spelling mistake...

Could Thea have brought the seeds of life when it smashed against the Earth?!?!?

  • @nathaniel9897 The almighty god both brought the seeds of life and initiated evolution itself

  • @nathaniel9897

I don't believe so, at that point the newly made Earth was basically a surface of lava. It is widely accepted that after it cooled to a closer temperature to what it is now, it then became hospitable by species.

  • @IanMelbourne93 I see. It makes me wonder if living cells would form spontaneously once they meet favorable conditions.

  • @nathaniel9897 Again, this is only what I have been taught but it is believed that the extremes of lightning, with the highly focused energy allowed molecules to form that would have been almost impossible under normal conditions because of the energy needed to combine them. This is the 'spark' of life if you will call it that. These new molecules and the conditions of Earth eventually led to extremely basic forms of life.

  • Could Thea have bought the seeds of life when it smashed against the Earth?!?!?

  • thanks for the upload!

  • two guys got bited by a anomallocarus

  • I got 3 things to say:

    1: This series was AWESOME!!

2: THAT SCOPION BROKE THE CAMERA LENS!! 8:52

3: Peter Griffin's dad made a Youtube account so he could Dislike this. XD

  • seriously i find some of these animals resembling lizards more then dinosaurs

  • @EagleMarine2012 Well, this is showing the time before the Dinosaurs.

  • @Akiyachi but still these early reptiles or early 4 limbed animals look like super sized lizards, rather then dinos

  • the one who dislike is our ancestor....

  • What a magnificent series this is. I loved it since I first saw it several years ago. I created my own one minute voice over movie slide about dinosaurs. If you have a chance, please check it out and tell me what you think. I'm trying to become a narrator.

  • i have this on dvd

  • somones gay

  • I love this series. I am so glad that they made this one and all the others XD

  • Jesus! I would mess my trousers if I came across that thing at 1:30.

  • They should've showed something from the ediacara period to show what was before the cambrian explosion, however, this is the best series of this one, walking with dinosaurs and walking with beasts.

  • The intro must be the most epic intro BBC ever made!

  • 1 person doesn't like reality O.o and prehistoric times!

  • The one person who disliked this is God.

  • @Jonipoon9 God is going to be pissed off by you.

  • @megajaws101 : He should, because this shows how insignificant God is.

  • one person didnt evolve enough to understand this...

  • @princeofthegodseuphr maybe he decided to turn into stupidcodont

  • @princeofthegodseuphr make that 2

  • @EagleMarine2012 2 retardosaurs?

  • @princeofthegodseuphr I said 2 because there is 2 dislikes bro, never to be intended for you

  • @princeofthegodseuphr eh... funny comment but it's an older doc and some of the facts presented here have since been speculated. Plus.. it's a sweeping look at evolution and rather vague. Perhaps they're TOO educated to enjoy it? My sister is an evolutionary biologist and she says this series is great for kids and non-biologists but rather irritating for her to watch because it glosses over a lot

but... I fall into the unwashed masses too. I'm a lowly software enginner. I LOVE this movie.

  • @princeofthegodseuphr make that two someone else thumbed down

  • Still going these guys did a great job on this series and is clearly my favorite of them all. It reminds me of Spore in a way and i really enjoy these types of series that explain evolution!

  • if i had a time machine or at the very least a time window to see these animals in action not just there skeletons but the problem is im only 15 and havent seen a real fossil animal besides a tylosaurus and mammuthus and a dromeosaur skeleton in north dakota i guess north dakota isnt as interesting as national fossil finds

  • Next lets have 'Walking with Prokaryotes' XD

  • @Destro7000 2 million years later... Our heroes, the cyanobacteria, evolved a way to use light to generate ATP and to fuel the synthesis of complex carbon based biomolecules while the antagonists learned how to use nitrogen based molecules to respire organic material in oxygen depleted soils.

    Hmm...I'd probably watch it.

  • @Destro7000 What the fuck is Prokaryote?

  • Comment removed

  • @Huskiadda13 look it up. You're evolved from a Eukaryote, Prokaryotes are an earlier, less complex version. Wikipedia will tell you. Also, don't use swearing as an insult, it just makes you appear violent.

  • @Destro7000 Makes him look stupid and violent.

  • @triplex3399 Yeah, he should probably have known already if he has watched this series, seeing as it's about the Timeline of Evolution and all.

  • @Destro7000 I intend upon writing a story of this documentary that actually visits the beginnings of life, with Prokaryotes included...so that dream may well become a reality...XD

  • @Destro7000 I smell money XD.

  • I LOVE IT!! IF YOU'RE AGREE WITH ME THUMBS UP

  • Y'know I was hoping for more creatures than Anamalocaris during the Cambrian segment (even though Anamalocaris is the rapedozer of the cambrian). i really wanted to see creatures like Opabinia or Leancholia. :P

  • lol that first predator was made in spore. seriously, I can make one just like this one.

  • Four clawed underwater scorpion?

  • like the giant centipede =D

  • So COOL!

  • i always had trouble spelling that word

  • Personally, I think term like "epic war between monster" or "awesome struggle" do not really fit to scientific documentary

  • those who like this series might as well watch the two other BBC series : walking with dinosaurs and walking with beasts

  • i think this is the best of the Walking With series thoumbs up if you agree

  • Fck childhood, you must return to me now.

  • Religion is like a penis. It's fine to have one. It's fine to be proud of it. but please don't whip it out in public and start waving it around. And PLEASE don't try to shove it down our throats. Thank you.

  • @ns88ster How about people treat the opposite the same way. I've seen the comments, no one shoving anything at you or anyone. That's just a stupid, overused saying. Part of being a Christian is spreading the faith, but if you don't want to to change fine, but we still try. And I agree with other comments, Christianity is definitely compatible with evolution, as both are possible. People just need to figure this out and shut up.

  • this is an excellent series so you people who don't like it just sod off

  • lol 1:56 I dont wanna know what that is!

  • @fightinandirish i think it is the pelvis (not penis)

  • our planet is fucking fused!

  • this is the best series ever better than the others

  • Religion is a wonderful thing not all religious people believe that dino's aren't real they believe tin the theory of evolution but apparently in America 4states have banned history and the teaching of evolution because their Catholics, dumbasses how will they know wat made the world

  • To see a slightly more probable ancestor to jawed vertebrates, google "thelodont" .

  • Brill video but the religious people still believe that the dinosaurs don't exist so to all religious people stop saying absolute crap about creatures that have existed, grow up and face the fact that these pre historic creatures did really exsist and there is a 50/50 chance that our world was formed like this but if u believe in god keep your faith and hope unlike me I sadly gave up religion for science

  • @RossM1621

I'm fairly religious, and I think dinosaurs are still around. Don't say all religious people don't think that prehistoric animals don't exist.

  • @RossM1621 um actually Christian people believe in dinosaurs, the only thing we dont agree on is how humans came to be and how the earth was made. and yes i do believe god made everything but that doesnt mean that evoulution isnt possible. next time, before you start talking crap, get your facts straight.

  • In my mind Religion and Science co-exist

  • @bibliothecary08 THANK YOU!

  • @bibliothecary08 yes!!!! i totally agree!!!! i swear i tried to suggest this to some people i know at church and they looked at me like i was crazy

  • Shows like this are why I own a TV :D.

  • wow. im christain, but this is very fascinating. i believe in evoulution, it never said in the bible that evoulutuion isnt possible, i mean animals have to change over time to survive. the only thing i dont agree with is how the eartn began. however, this theory is more believable than the big bang theory.

  • @LizzieLuvsMusic683 this has nothing to do with big bang this happend long after, theyre telling how earth became what it is now not how the universe was created

  • @LizzieLuvsMusic683 The big bang didn't create the earth, the big bang happened billions of years before. It set the stage for the development of matter that makes up everything today in our universe. The Bible was written hundred and hundred of years before science came about, so of course it wouldn't have any sort of information on the things science knows now, because there wasn't a mechanism to study and scrutinize our reality, so people back then had to find a way to fill in the blanks.

  • @S0XF0X ok im not open for religious debate right now, but are you suggesting that the bible is full of crap? hey believe what you want, but dont go smacking my beliefs.

  • @LizzieLuvsMusic683 I wasn't smacking your beliefs, I'm was just pointing out facts. You can believe in whatever you want, but if you're going to have faith in something that falls apart under a skeptical scope, you should be prepared to hear about it. I respect your freedom to believe in what you believe, but that doesn't mean I have to respect the belief itself, and you don't have to respect mine. Open discussion on other views allows society to grow, so don't shut others, or yourself, up.

  • @LizzieLuvsMusic683 I totally agree. There should be more people like us.

  • @sonikku956

    I second the motion :)

  • Comment removed

  • i watched this today at school it was INCREDIBLE

  • @MrKingdomheartschamp I saw it at school to!

  • cool

  • I'm watching this on school. FUCK YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • no other documentation kicks so much ass

  • Im watching this now because Walking with Dinosaurs was my shit when I was young, feels good to return to something from your youth

  • Why am I watching this on youtube? I've got it on DVD!

  • DOPE!this shit is interesting! blahhh!

  • i want all you religious people to realize something: HOW THE FUCK did "god" make the world if it was being made by the galaxy etc.

    >:S you religious people are so confusing!!!!!!

oh btw, PROOVE your god made this planet!

  • @demolition000

    good point

  • @zapryan99 thank you! for once someone agrees with me :)

im sorry for being horrible to you religious people, but you have absolutely NO PROOF of god making the planet we are killing! whereas scientists have proof! etc

  • i remember theses times well

    oh when will i die!

  • The makers of the documentary Walking With Monsters suggested that Cephalaspis, or one of its relatives was an ancestor to jawed fish and other gnathostomes.

However, Cephalaspis belongs to the Osteostraci, a group which is widely believed to be the sister group to all jawed vertebrates [1]. So whilst Cephalaspis was not a direct ancestor of the jawed vertebrates, Cephalaspis and jawed vertebrates nevertheless shared a common ancestor.

  • @Ryagful

"Cephalaspis and jawed vertebrates nevertheless shared a common ancestor."

Any two organisms share a common ancestor, dude.

  • indeed, but they were very close to that common ancestor, bro!!

  • hells like woah yeah , bitchin !

  • While this series has great graphics, they made a lot of stupid mistakes...for example, having our ancestors be cephalaspis, what the fuck?

  • @aronchai They were one of the first species to feature a primitive backbone, which humans possess aswell. It's there, in the sea, where it all started ... even us

  • @YouEV Yeah, but I doubt a specialized fish like cephalaspis is our ancestor.

  • @aronchai Hmmm. . . well then, what are our ancestors? Water? Dirt? Anomalocaris?

  • @ColdSideOfPillow136 Probably some other fish that lived at the same time as Cephalaspis but was less specialized, i.e, its head wasn't encased in a bony box that made it vulnerable to predation in the long run (by slowing it down). Our fish ancestor may have been sort of like Cephalaspis, but to show Cephalaspis itself evolving directly into the first tetrapod is misleading.

I still love the Walking With series, but as entertainment rather than strict fact.
