@MrSatansLawyer No it isn't. I have one of those, it's a Dell Axim x50v. Although I do not own Final Fantasy I can play other games "legally." Never did get a controller for it though, I've been trying to find a way to link my Nintendo Wii remote to it via bluetooth. Also would believe that this is slightly less powerful than the iPod Touch? It's four years older than it too. Of course you can hack the x50v and upgrade its OS to make it feel more like the iPod Touch. It has a lot of potential.

i got ver. 0.095. it works but the problem is transfering games. with activesync, it stops in the middle of transfer for big files and also it moves very very VERY slow! probably need a sd card adapter. anybody has other alternative programs or such they use without the use of adapters?

For ausibananas: The Dell axim came in multiple speeds. The slowest was the Dell Axim x50, which was an Xscale 416 MHz, with 64 MB flash ROM. The highest was the Dell Axim x51v, which was Xscale 624 MHz, with 256MB flash ROM.

And a PSP is far less convenient, as the only way to hack one now, is to buy a refurbished or second hand 1000/2000 model. Aside from PlayStation one, it has trouble handling anything without resorting to clocking on high at 333mHz. A massive battery sink.

People keep asking why there PPC/PDA doesn't run at a very tangible speed. This is because the PDA in the video is a Dell Axim, one of the few PDA's that have a built in graphics accelerators.

If you do have a Dell Axim, check to see if it's a x50, x51 or x51v. These are the only models that contain the Intel 2700g accelerator.

I had the same Pocket PC as in this video; you can get them on eBay for anywhere between $100-200. Although the PSP is better for games and video, PPCs are more flexible when it comes to programs and such; pretty much anything you can think of exists for PPC.

Fukywak is right, it is a Chainpus bluetooth gamepad. I know there were some other companies selling the exact one with their label on it, but this was almost 2 years ago. I don't know why others don't make a bluetooth gaming pad, because bluetooth has become so popular as of late. What would be really cool is if someone wrote drivers for a PS3 controller, (I believe PS3 is using bluetooth). Also it does have sound but it is choppy, and there was ALOT of noise going on when I recorded this.

If anyone's wondering why he doesnt turn the frameskip up its because there's a graphical error in battles which means the cursor that shows which enemy you're gonna attack wont be there but if the frameskip is set to 3 then it'll be full speed in battles .....and well out of battles it's already full speed

I had an iPhone... The only hardware innovation over the x51v is the use of a multi-touch display... That was nice. Other than that, it is pretty much inferior in every way you can imagine. Keep in mind the x51v has built-in video accelerator with 16mb of RAM. It is also 640x480 vs 480x320 on the iPhone. And the applets are based on scripting, very close to what Java does on phones.  These programs on PPC are the real deal.

Hard reset fixed it up nice. I'm gettin about 38fps in landscape. Sound's too laggy, but the game's playable
