  • Ahh the Heroin days, back when they made the best music...sadly

  • Hey lets obsess about his weight and ignore the music....yeah that's rock n roll...u freakin rookies

  • @ElectricCult Love this comment. Fucking real! You're a cult fan?

  • @googo151 One of my favorite bands :)

  • Saw STP in august in Jersey, Scott looked friggen great and sounded better than ever.

  • most bands sound shit live but this is really good. for a band with only bass guitar, guitar and drums they really have a full sound like theres nothing missing from the album version...

  • @mrmethane72 Yeah.....just like Cream and Hendrix

  • Wyland looks better in a suit

  • Man, Scott seems to be peaking! Straightforward rock and roll. Nice.

  • I saw this & wondered how I missed this on tv, then I realized it was 1994, I was probably out at some bar that night

  • che voce paura!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grandi STP,

  • Scott soooo sooooo sexy <3

  • @acidbathgirl01 you've been on the past 3 STP vids ive watched. I assume you're attracted to Scott Weiland

  • @JosefStalinbro Yes, very much so ....

  • It might've been even better (if that were possible) if Robert(?) (the bassist) had done some backing vocals here.

  • Bad ass STP at their best!

  • So remember watching this in AUS the first time it was on... letterman was a after 12pm show then!

  • press 4 and the singer humps the mic.

  • @ericdaman100 what do i press to get the singer to hump me instead ?

  • david deleo he really got a lot of energy cool

  • @12eggskitchen no david, robert or dean

  • 2 pc. kit, no toms, no fuss, no muss

  • That's fucking incredible what a voice SW had then. Shoot! Wish he still sounded like that.

  • where is the rest of your kit Eric? :P

  • Weiland...and with the weight, went the voice! R.I.P. STP of the '90s!

  • Im glad Scott is sober..but his voice was so much better back then :0

  • the 90's music is classic:

Pearl jam, nirvana, stp, soundgarden, alice in chains. Need i say more?

  • @avzeolla

I know exactly what you mean. Those were the day's of real music!

  • the bass guitar is way too low in the mix. soundman should have listened to the CD

  • Wow, the dance at 1:44 :)

  • @TransparentVisions He always had these weird moves somewhat reminiscent of Joe Cocker! Very cool!

  • 30 people are flies in the vasoline...

  • the singer kinda looks high?

  • Dance fat Scott, Dance!

  • @MarquisVonMonster How is he fat?

  • @MarquisVonMonster Scott was not fat...he just looked healthier than now...

  • ........back when stp was good...or should I say scott sounded good.

  • come for the music, stay for scott's dancing

  • I vote STP for best dresses, because even though they might not pick the coolest clothes at all times, somehow, they manage to make me want to wear them. That people is a sign of pure rockstar.

  • Who are these 30 losers anyway...???

  • @indapamod who cares lol

  • 30 people don't know what good music sounds like...

  • Saw them open for the Stones in Toronto in August 1994 & they rocked eventhough they only played for 35-40 mins.

  • Great singer in the studio. Pretty lame live though.

  • @zapwatt search "trippin on a hole in a paper heart live" and watch the one at rolling rock, he sings really good there.

sometimes i feel this way about chris cornell as well.

  • @Crazy4krystal

Duuuuude, you totally read my mind on Chris Cornell! I used to think Chris was the numero uno from Seattle but then comparing him to Layne live I give the crown to Layne. . . although Layne falls short live compared to the recordings as well, just not as badly as Chris.

You know what singer from Seattle can really deliver live exactly what he deals on the records? Johnny Reidt from Bathtub Gin and New American Shame.

  • @zapwatt I actually think Layne topped all his songs live. Especially rain when i die..he definitely is better than cornell as great as he is. STP rocks btw.

  • Man hes high... but he rocks! Shame Heroin took over his life... Glad ure back Scott..Went and saw them 2 weeks ago in Brisbane Australia.. been a fan since Core came out and all albums after.. your voice is awesome Scott.. dont ever forget that! Your band is awesome. xx

  • Wonderful

  • wasted wonderfulness willing ...

  • SUCK iT UP AND DROP SOME SUNSHINE FROM THE 70"s.

  • Nice delay.

  • wow, you can tell Drugs fucked up scott, his appearance has changed alot since this, his face got sunken in and his voice destroyed, dont get me wrong his voice is ok now but back in these days it was great

  • @NotoriousYeshi dude i saw them almost two years ago and it was bad ass scott sounded awesome maybe not at this caliber but damn near as good as this one of the best shows i have ever seen

  • They are being dressed like they are shopping a la segunda.

  • That is a small bass drum

  • Oh Scott...so sexy!

  • Three piece and a singer-and still sounds really close to the album. Rocks.

  • SOOOOOO GLAD I grew up with STP!!!!!!! THEY FUCKIN ROCK!!!!!!!

  • @crotalusking I'm growin' up with all the shit of music:(

  • @crotalusking me 2

  • Great song... But needs much more bassist.

  • To me Purple is a greatest hits album, every song rocks, oh yeah the same with Core!

  • @scott10221969 except for wet my bed

  • OMG i miss the 90's....can someone bring'em back please?

  • @soulflower666 Uhhhh they are back.. with a new album..

  • @ampao08 Cooool! ...now can you bring back the 90's again? ;)

  • shit what class. look at that drummer instead of the neil pearts of the world "how many toms can one have" this guy says "toms... what are them ? how cool

friggin weiland is a jagger in the rough watch

  • So Fuckinig BadASS!!!! STP OWNS!!!

  • kick ass song, kick ass dance, kick ass beanie!!!

  • Born in '95 so i missed all this amazing stuff. Everything nowadays sucks ass. The music is ridiculous. Im happy i learned this and wasnt brainwashed like 90% of my generation. AIC, STP, Nirvana FTW. Listen to my Core CD all the time.

  • @xOblazingpistonOx u listen to it everyday kid

  • ya tengo mi entrada para el 4 de diciembre en el luna park!!! vamos stp carajo!!!!

  • i love the fender head through the marshall cab LOL..

  • @JoeKooL25 gotta say... STP's guitar sound is very distinct and awesome.

  • grunge :)

  • MOVISTAR ARENA - SANTIAGO, CHILE - 7 DE DICIEMBRE

  • @mauriciobustamanteo NO EXISTEN CHILENOS

  • Scott why do you have to be so damn attractive in the 90's when I was just like 6 years old and didn't have a chance in hell?! Oh how cruel the Universe is!

  • LUNA PARK- ARGENTINA- 4 DE DICIEMBRE

  • Dear Scott, I love your silly hat. Love, Ash

  • Love the stripped down drum kit.

  • classic

  • Annnnddd a year later he turns into a weirdo

  • @clayto1332 You say weirdo - I say awesome.

  • BEST BAND OF THE 90s.

The only band since Led Zeppelin that gives me the same vibes I get from Houses of the Holy.

    This is rock royalty.

  • if u go to VR songs, evry1 hate on Weiland cuz of his dancing...most VR fans are assholes

HOWEVER VR still kicks ass but im happy weiland is back with STP cuz VR woulda killed him...

  • scott seems like homelees.

  • @RobertDeLeo You seem like idiot

  • @clayto1332 funny, but not nice

  • Who says you cant put jazz chords in rock music!??? STP is all over that shit!!

  • Ah I love this song... Back when Scott Weiland had a good voice... Now his voice sounds stretched and thin.

  • I love how these guys prove that you create a huge sound with just guitar, bass and drums (and vocals, of course)

  • @zedrein18 link wray, jimi hendrix, cream, the ramones, rory gallagher, the stones (check out "street fightin' man" live on get yer yas yas out), and about a million others pretty much already had that proved, daddio ...

  • @tombotucker Oh no doubt, but I really think that STP has such a colorful sound that it's surprising that 3 musicians can create it. I think alot of that has to be because of the chords and unconventional melodies they write.

  • him and eddie vedder awsume onstage presents

  • Music has evolved in infinite forms since time began. Be it 10,000000BC or 2010AD comparing one form against another is a personal choice but shows that MrLance21 you have a closed mind to pure sound. I'm just glad there is such a gift of being able to be open to music in all its beautiful glory.

  • Gotta love Scotts dancing...

  • love scott's hat and red hair. must have been around st patricks day when it was on tv?

  • @jimmythx read the caption

  • Hey we play our own acoustic songs in a little Nirvana/Seether/AIC style.Feel free to check us out.

Its worth for the non haters :)

    peace

  • I see everyone comparing decades and arguing over commercial radio and styles of music...well, if you want to check out some really great music, then I would recommend the decade from the mid 60's to the mid 70's!

So many great bands started in the mid 60's--like the Beatles, the Stones, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, YES, King Crimson, Genesis, ELP, et. al.

Ultimately, if you like GOOD music--and NOT the typical top 40 pablum, DO NOT listen to commercial radio...it's a simple as that!

    CBC RADIO 2!

  • Lousy Generation X, so spoilt. When they grew up they were lucky enough to get the 90s yet in the 00s when its there turn to give something back...they give us Lady GaGa and Fall Out Boy.

Dont worry things are gonna change soon.

  • If you lived generation x generation of kurt cobain or clinton or Michael Jordan or the 90s or at least grew up watching this world would understand how crazy this world is stupid and that is the culture of consumerism shopping

  • If you live in the 90s n feeling my generation you understand this "crazy" world !

  • Simply n good ? yes simply is better sometimes but stp understand the music that is a legend = )

  • fuuuuuuuuuuck Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and all the shit new music today

  • @MattRomeroMusic jejejejejee yeaaa justin bieber its just a wannabe ... i dont give him more than 4 yearsss and countinggg..

  • This song is the epitome of grunge.

  • Lol thank you for dancing Scott. Never stop. :)

  • 90's grunge rocks...80's SUCKED. I love this stuff.

  • @lanee1967 - I must be one of the only grunge fans that likes both 80s hair metal/new wave AND grunge. It seems like you either like one or the other....

80s music is more of an "indulgence" to start with and it's not meant to be taken seriously. That's the main difference between 80s music and now. Artists like Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Coldplay and Justin Beiber...they take themselves seriously...

  • i LOVE stp, tool and aic...thank god i grew up in the 90s.

  • 80's bands (as a whole) FUCKing sucked!!!

  • @schoolglue1234 you are an ignorant piece of shit. you probably dont have half the talent or the balls of any "80's" band to get to the sucess they did. have your own opinion listen to your kind of music but dont sit on your lazy fat ass and type shit about a great decade for music. if you cant appreciate good music no ones forcing you to listen or like it. think before you type ya plug

  • i was in my 20's in the 90's it was sure better than now, but the bands except Grant Lee Buffalo, Blind Melon STP, Black Crowes, 2 Chile Pepper records, Smashing

    Pumpkins

Nirvana overated , in Utero has som egood songs. Sunny Day Real Estate, Quicksandm Check your HEad beasies...alot of one hit

grunge was a response to the hair bands like Poison who killed Real rock

it was n ot so much an improvement

    60-70 a 2 years in the 80s--that's it!

  • they performed on the late show just 5 days before i was born xD

  • the reason music gets worse is due to a cycle, it wasn't originally that music was getting worse, but that worse music was getting focused on by the media. better bands must've thought they had to follow the design to make it, and their styles got all mainstreamed up. dumb shits that dont know any better, bought based on what the media told them was cool and gave them more power to dictate.

  • Someone please kill jonas brothers

  • @Invierno1985 WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH WATCHING THIS,WHY KILL THEM , I DO NOT CONDONE OR LIKE THERE MUSIC BUT I BET THEY HAVE MORE MONEY AND WOMEN THAN YOU CAN DREAM OF,WHY COMMENT ON THEM IF YOU ARE WATCHING S.T.P.?

  • @Invierno1985 What does this video have to do with the Jonas Brothers?

  • @Invierno1985 And Justin Bieber Please!!!

  • 70's were great- 80's suckd. 90's AWESIME!

  • damn, i wish i could remember the 90s... but i wasnt even a year old when this happened :\

  • i was 10 this year AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhh

  • @09prizefighter09 I was too well at least after august 19th Are an 84 baby as well?

  • @09prizefighter09 I was 5....

  • They Were part of my teenager days..good times..

anyway they are the worst dressed group in history :-)

  • @jrmye this was the whole 90s thing.... dressing up in thrift store clothes that didnt exactly fit etc.

  • @jrmye Worst dressed? I vote Weezer for that title.

  • @wolfeyoung2001 Nah Weezer wins "Easiest to fall asleep to at concert".

  • @jrmye

Kiss dressed worse...so did David Bowie aka "Ziggy Stardust"

was that the name of his act?

  • @NnysVelvetRevolver Bowie was a man of a thousand faces. all of them great!! Ziggy was one of them.

  • @muddack

yes he was a great man im not disputing that. he is Scotts biggest inspiration! Just saying that Ziggy had one funky get up

  • @jrmye Scott and Dean alright. It's Robert and Eric

  • @jrmye What about KISS? Or Queen? Nirvana, especially Kurt Cobain, also had a knack for dressing exceptionally shabby. ;)

  • The band is definitely firing on all cylinders, in this performance.

  • you are so right jackineedo..we didnt realize ourselvse how good it was

  • Scott's wearing a weird-ass orange and green snow hat, Robert looks like a secret service agent, Dean looks like he's about to be competing in a chess competition, and Eric is wearing a solid olive green t-shirt. STP certainly knows how to dress for performances!

  • @DieHardGardenFan hahaha

  • @DieHardGardenFan it was the 90s

  • Love it :) Thank you !

  • 1:12-1:18 thats how you seriously kick ass at the bass.

  • He used to sound great live. But now not as much.

  • I want his damn hat, lmao.

  • Nice hat.

  • You know whats cool, Ive discovered that Robert, the bass player, actually created this badass riff! Just shows you that even bass guitar players can be sick song writers too! And Im a bass player myself!

  • @MrLanceM21 bass rocks, musicman for life ;)

  • Soo, I almost crap myself laughing every time I see Scott, clapping and dancing in an odd pattern... haha

  • I think it's sad that I didn't grow up with the amazing bands and music in the 90's..the music now SUCKKS

  • @jackineedo True but be thankful you weren't born BEFORE the 90's then you'd be missing out til then! At least now it's all still here for you to listen to at your convenience. Still though when watching the old videos it brings back a sense of nostalgia and sadness because you know that moment is way long gone forever, and those people are in a completely different place in life now.

  • @jackineedo Lucky Me those were my late teenage years....Yup n ill never 4get them!!!! N this is the only music that my girls 7 n 5 listen 2, my husband n i do not subject them 2 2days "music"!!!!

  • @jackineedo I am very grateful for gettin to catch the end of the 80's music and all the glory of the 90's.I wish music would kick some ass again.

  • @jackineedo i feel exactly the same... but next decade is suposed to be the next new great era of music since the 90's.... i hope so...

  • @jackineedo check out Them Crooked Vultures. But it's sad how few truly respectable rock/punk/metal bands are making it in this decade.

  • @jackineedo I totally agree!!!My very 1st concert was Nirvana's last show in Chicago and til now my very own band is dedicated to 90's rock even our originals.

  • You have to love that super catchy riff!

  • brilliant dancing by scott lol great performance from everyone

  • It's amazing how good Scott was before the drugs really took hold.

  • @jaske41 True, he looks healthy and tan here...
