It's pretty much perfect as a walking model goes, but it's totally impractical for anything else. No steering at all. He shows his other wind powered models walking down the beach, but he doesn't show them walking off into the water, or people having to go out and steer or turn them. Maybe he needs to make an amphibious model. They're still very cool to watch. :-)

actually they do have sensors but there all mechanical and/or pnumatical, for example he has a tube hanging down that sucks in air and if it walks into the water it sucks in water causing some kind of mechanical sparkle magic that makes it go into reverse

its impressive but not really a new invention its more a copy of real-life walking beings just like a flying plains these are based on birds

there are already shit loads of walking robots with lots of censors for pressure, temperature, distance... look at the robots they send to space

It doesn't use any kind of fuelel, it just moves when it catches even the slightest bit of wind. That's what makes it so amazing.
