when I first heard this, it evoked enough emotion to warrant a SLEW of paintings. Hearing it now, I'm cold as a cucumber.

He does great, hitting mostly the right notes, but I'm NOT feeling it.

Hardly pristine, more stoic than anything else. The orchestra has absolutely no understanding of the piece, and lacks any enthusiasm for the piece. That said, soloist is much better than the orchestra. One can forgive the lack of artistry if the virtuosity is there, but this performance lacks both technical and artistic elements.
