Haha I was listening to this I was holy crap I know this. Even though I never watched the movie. Looked through the comments and a comment reminded me I know it from top gear
this scene in my mind remains one of the best scenes in cinema history, when he notices the airliner flying overhead, Britain was just a diseased little island that everybody forgot about, and continued living their lives
@MadamFoogie It's by Brian Eno and was actually originally made for For All Mankind (1989), a documentary about the Apollo space program. Gets used all over the place though.
I LOVE 28 Days Later. I also enjoyed the film "Drive", but did they have to use this song. I know alot of films take good songs from other films, but it does annoy me
this song is also now used as the main theme for the film Drive...
John Murphy, created the best sound track for 28 days later (2002) and then Sunshine (2007) and now he is reaping the benefits with his soundtrack being used in more recent flicks like Kick Ass, Drive etc...
I was surprised by Kickass man, I was holding off watching it, thinking it would just be some teen comedy, but damn I was wrong LOL! Really glad I finally watched it
This piece by Eno always brings tears to my eyes. The first time I heard it was during a mediation for training for AIDS care partners, I find this piece almost as powerful as Samuel Barber's Adagio for strings
This is the piece of music that plays when a soldier and his friends, faced with impossible odds stand their ground against an unmatchable enemy, outnumbered and out gunned they take arms, and shoot down every enemy that tried to hurt them or their friend, until they are out of ammo, standing tall and proud ready to die for their cause. This isn't relaxing, it's really a piece of music perfect for a war film or game.
This is music I expect to hear when I go to heaven (or IF...;))), it's soothing and sad and joyful all at the same time, with a pinch of regret to not have lived life to the full...
I had forgotten that the musical score for this movie was so beautiful. I could listen to this all day, because it reminds me of better things in life...and hope.
all youtubers take note around this planet you call earth .....28 days later dose not have zombies ??? its not day of the dead or even halloween ....its a military virus infection.....when you say zombies that totaly pees off an infected human and makes matters worse
Love this ending piece of music. You can feel despair....hope....fear....and loss all at the same time. What an emotional roller-coaster this music takes you on. One of the best soundtracks I have ever heard.
Nothing can compare to the feeling i had the first time i watched this film, One of the best films within the last few years. They dont make them like this anymore.

28 days later is so much better than 28 weeks later it's ridiculous. Unfortunately I feel like if they were to make another sequel it would be terrible
@tehzombeh98 At the end when they escaped the psycho paths they found a house in the woods and they made a huge help me sign cause the military was looking for survivors in the F-16 jets well Selena heard a jet so they ran out there placed the sign. Couple days later the army came and picked them up. Or for better detail read the graphic novels.
@bbmanmegyer the soldiers werent really pyschopaths, they were only desperate
its sad really i think we would understand if we were in there situation of all of the same sex were stuck in a hopeless situation with no good vison of a future
@egraseidannogew I think you fail to see the bigger picture. They thought they were the only ones left. Nothing but men. And they weren't sure they would even survive.
@SuperOnlineCinema So when we think the end of the world is here, the men who survive will rape the first women they find, including teenagers, because of their instinctive behaviours are to survive by any means they can and to reproduce without regard of their former humanities they possessed a month ago - which they seem to lose when shit gets too hot in the apocalypse.
@lannabananah Yep... all those Americans seem to be able to hit is british people these days. In film and in life. Some might say they don't think they like us anymore :)
...and.. "OMG there's a monster in the kitchen... I know what I'll do to save myself... I'll run past the front door and up the stars to where I'm cornered. That should do the trick... Shit he's eating my face!!! agghh!!!" THICK!
This soundtrack and movie just proves that even in the face of armageddon there is hope and beauty still left in the world. Although gory, 28 days later is humanistically a beautiful story. Boyle is an amazing director!
I'd be really grateful if someone could tell me in what scene of the movie this song is played, I don't have it at home so I can't watch the entire thing right now:/
@KingLucas01 it's played when their having a picnic & watching the horses run along side each other!! beautyful scene i think!! also it's played when their making their way down the motorway towards manchester in search of help!!
