You would never see me in there, looks abit dodgy and abit scary. Imagine being chased through there at night, when junkies and everything else is there and its a foggy october night. Phone lines are down and the place is haunted or something. Scary-as
The bluebell woods was the nuns convent that was bombed in the war where we played two man hunt and the place was haunted with a nun. This video is an army barrack
there was a huge one in the woods in alexandria we went there when we were kids, council knocked it down 10 yrs ago coz junkies used it and left their crap about. grrrr
Same here, I grew up in Bishopbriggs and only found out it was there a few months ago. It's amazing some of the things practically on our doorsteps that we know nothing about.
So did I. I went to Bishopbriggs high school from 1975 to 1979. I feel sad that it will soon be no more. It would be good to see a film about the life of the school and then some footage of it being demolished. I went back for a final look around a few weeks ago and that was the first time in 30 years I since I walked out of the door that I went back in again. It was a strange experience for me. It was like going back in time. Do you remember the old army barracks on Westerhill Road?
I also went to Bishopbriggs High, but haven't been back since leaving in 1986. Have you any idea when it's scheduled for demolition? I assume it's lying empty now?
I don't remember the old army barracks, where exactly were they?
I must know you then if you were at BB high from 75 to 79. Were you at the reunion there before it closed down? Did you hear about Mr Pringle? Anyway, Yes the barracks was next to the skid pan at the end of Wester Cleddens Road heading towards lenzie.
Follow Balmuildy Road up past the Sports Centre, and when you get to the top of the hill follow the road round and take the first turning on your right. At the end of that road you'll see three large dark brick warehouses. It's in the woods behind them.
Good, well taken video. If only the person designing the anti-aircraft battery was as talented; There is a clear architectural fault, building a high wall in front of the guns emplacements. How on earth were our brave heroes supposed to get the jerry menace? No wonder we lost the war....
