I very much doubt that 'erictjie's' carpenter can do anything well if he can do that chair for $100 in teak. I work with wood for a living, and build guitars. I won't work for clients like 'erictjie' that can't tell sawdust from shinola. They can shop at KMart. I agree that the price is steep. At the same time I recognize the investment in design time, and the effort in craftsmanship.

I appreciate the thought and craftsmanship that went into this, but I’m a workin’ stiff and $1500 is way too much. Who pays that much for a hunk of wood that doesn’t make any sound?

I don't know much about chairs and I didn't try this chair either but... Isn't 1500$ for one chair a little TOO much?
