  • hey man.. Would it be louder to have 2(dual) magnaflow pipes rather then just having the converters going into just a single pipe?

    I just recently bought a white 99 mustang V6 and I want to put a mangaflow exhaust on it. but I a not sure if I should just go dual and have the pipes cut of and dumped down under the car before the rear tire or what?! Can you help me out?

  • Whats funny is down low probably to about 3500Rpms. My pypes headerback setup sounds really close to this. Except its uncatted so its gets Ricey/350zish ounce you rev past. Sounds really nice.

  • I have 2 1/4 inch piling on my 09 v6 duals. I lost some hp. I got an h pipe and I hot some back. I'm still not happy with the sound. Are your mufflers mid car or at the back end? Sounds great tho.

    The kid took a V6 and made it pretty nice in my book. It sounds pretty awesome and he even mentions the fact that his camera distorts the quality of the sound a bit.

  • hey man, awesome sound. do you have the thrush welded or thrush glasspack mufflers? im looking into getting some thrust mufflers in the near future and i wanted to know what you have on this one.

  • I have the thrush welded mufflers. You will want to stay far away from ANY glass pack muffler on a mustang (sounds similar to rice). They sound like crap on them, and people who do it always get them replaced.

  • did you know a magnaflow magnapack is a glasspack muffler? I think they sound good with an X-pipe

  • so do you still have 2 stock cats in addition to the 2 hi flows or do you just have the hi flows?

  • It is explained in the description... JUST 2 hi-flows.

  • What kind of converters you got

  • They are magnaflow Hi-Flow cats. One for each side. I found when I had the 4 stock cats on my exhaust note was quiet and low toned at higher rpms... When I got the 2 Hi-flows put on the car now has a nice exotic scream at higher rpms that I haven't heard on really any other mustang. I guess it must be the extra amount of exhaust being able to flow through along with my cat/muffler combo.

  • So you got the same piping with the "y" adapter? I mean you just cut out the stock converters and put those 2 on?

  • No because then it wouldn't be a true dual exhaust. EVERY bit of piping from the headers down is all new galvenized mandrel bent 2.25 inch tubing. This is how it goes: Stock headers, custom H-pipe with 2 hi-flow cats, 2 mufflers, then the 2 tail pipes.

  • my debate is the h-pipe or the x-pipe, I think I would get a better sound from the h-pipe and more horsepower from the x-pipe, thanks for the video.
