  • So what if it's a little expensive? Add boiling water, wait 10 mins or so and ya have good grub. Simple as that. I've eaten most of them and I'd say a 7 to 9 out of 10 for all. Stiring them up good's the key.

  • @arnieb12 Exactly :o)

  • its expensive.

  • @vaidotas86 I don't think so :o) Not In Canada anyway!

  • I went and bought some and ur right it's very good I'm going to buy more for my BOB

  • @uncoolkid2 Yup! Many different meals to choose from too. Small and lite :o)

  • How about telling us where they are bought and how much they cost ? I too am in Canuckistan.

  • @JoeGancher Canukistan eh?...haha! That's not nice! You can find them at any hiking/backpacking outlet depending on where you live. Mountain House has a website too!

  • awesome accent! and i like how you changed your rating hahaha

  • @MarcusHBP7 ;o)

  • That accent is flippin' awesome! Reminds me of an irish dude I knew in the Army.

  • @hrdknox2000 Hehe! OK! I didn't know I had an accent, other than Canadian eh...haha!

  • @Ggreenvideos I'd recommend the Mountain House Sweet and Sour Pork w/ Rice. I give it a 10/10!

  • @hrdknox2000 Rite on! Sounds good! I'll have to try it :o)

  • What is the sodium content in a package like that?

  • Sodium is 1230 mg per 1/2 pouch (67g) 51% of daily value. So it is something you would probably not want to eat unless you we're active like hiking, snowshoeing, chopping wood...etc. Hope that helps :o)

  • @Ggreenvideos I have noticed that also when looking at them in the store. If you look at different ones you can get ones that have under 1K, thats the ones I get.

  • Great vid:) looks tasty:) 5/5

  • Thanks bro :o) It really is a good way to eat in the bush. Simple and fast! And tasty too :o)

  • yeah:) I actually fond a swedish company with MH food.. but not that one.. chicken and noodles.. hmm well probably it's not the end of the world?:)

  • Hehe...no probably not ! But that one is one of the better ones :o)

  • How do those taste? Some people think they're kind of Bland(no taste) I can't buy those here anyways :o)

  • hmm From what I've heard aint dryfrozen fod a MRE? or isit like a bar or something that you eat?

  • MRE's are a package with a bunch of stuff I guess. Check out minibulldesign channel. you can find him in my subscriptions. He's got a couplr of reviews on MRE'S :o)

  • Ahh I will:) Well what I ment was that frozen food anyway:P they ar simple and great:)

  • Awesome videos, beautiful scenery in the background, wish it got like that here in Dallas,Tx. all we get mostly is just enough slush to make a driving dangerous,Thanks for sharing..

  • Thanks Rich...hehe! I appreciate that. An advantage for you though...you don't get -50C temps. :o)

  • Hey! It looks good!!!! Is that Canadian made? 5/5

  • Very good buddy !!!! Oregon Freeze Dry (U.S.A)Thanks bro :o)

  • 9 out of 10?! Those are some big boots to fill. I will have to check this one out also. Thanks for the tip.

  • Remember my friend, this is only my opinion :o) But...I have to say I really did enjoy that one! Maybe it was just the right amount of water that did it. No measuring all that cup stuff...hehe! Just winged it :o)

  • OK. Remember folks he got lucky. ;-) Better to make sure you use a measuring cup. Otherwise you could end up with thick paste or soup!

  • Hehe! But now I know just how much water to put in that one...for Toni & I anyways :o)

  • good video, no problem rehydrating in the cold without a cozy?

  • Thanks man! Seems to be no issue actually.

The bag seems to retain heat really good. It's got a foil liner inside :o)

  • too bad that stuff is so damn expensive, i mostly just haul tons of cans with me

  • It's not here. It's cheaper than eating at Mcdonalds or something like that. A meal with 2 servings is around $7 :o)

  • Have you ever tried to dehydrate your own hamburger meat ? I tried it and it turned out good, easy way to make hamburger helper in the woods.

  • No, I haven't try that but planning on it some day. But...I don't like Hamburger Helper...hehe! Sorry buddy :o)

  • I do hamburger, tomato sauce chili assorted vegetables, I want to try my spanish rice I make and then dehydrate it. I have to try to cut up the chili beans so they rehydrate better. I will have to do a video on dehydrating meals someday.

  • I had the beef stew once and wasn't to highly impressed I dehydrate my own meals now tastier healthier and cheaper plus fun to make.

  • Yeah...I can see your point! Might try doin' that myself someday. Probably a good idea. Although these are pretty healthy actually, usually high in sodium which is a good thing when you've been sweating half the day :o)

  • I like the tastier and cheaper part...lol, but my camp meals ant heathy

  • Yeah, I like pretty much all the Mountain House meals. Hehe.. That was funny, ahhh, make that a 9.

  • Haha! thanks buddy! I think that might be the MH review! I've come to the conclusion that they're all excellent, especially outdoors in the cold...hehe! :o)
