Actually, very few stormtroopers are clones. Most are regular soldiers, recruited to fight for the Empire.

Yup. Probably because (I believe) the 501st had the lowest casualty rate and, as such, there was less need to supplement the Jango Template clones with new variants or recruit stormtroopers.

actually, at the time of A New Hope, only a third of the Storm Trooper Corps consisted of Jango clones, while the rest were normal humans. check it out at wookiepedia if you want. But hell, it's just a damn movie.

regardless the Recruited troopers had to meet the standards the Clone Troopers set, so you simply cant say which are better, in fact, Stormtrooper armour is superior, so as a result Stormtroopers are superior due to their equipment, since their skill levels are the same.

the standard indeed stayed the same, The Stormtrooper armour has greater mobility, but somewhat less protection, however, on the battlefield the reduction of the protection is so small that it's really negligable, there really aren't many, if any weapons that clone trooper armour can handle any better than storm trooper armour. course considering how powerful blasters are, the ammount of protection nearly armour can give is very limited, except the MKVI/a tho... that armour is nuts.
