hes there in uniform to be seen as being impartial, to police the event... so lets say for talking sake someone starts to sing Sectarian Songs and he hears and sees this, he has to act on that, the guy/girl who he tried to remove from the stadium could say "Cmon big yin, your a gers fan you know wit its like" .... it just puts the officer in a bad predicament, he should know better anyway.

Thats not the point, apparently he is professional Police officer, who is compelled to be impartial.
Most comments of support for the officer are from Rangers fans. What if this was Ibrox and the cop celebrated a Celtic goal, or any teams goal?
Im sure the Rangers fans would have plenty to say and rightly so.
The cop was wrong, you know he was you just cant bring yourselves to admit it as you think by doing so you are betraying a fellow fan.

Police are compelled to be impartial as a professional public body.This cop is un-professional to allow his personal feelings overcome his obligation to be a professional.Imagine the implications if this was an Old Firm match? Footballers are booked for over celebrating, and fined.
Many on this page find it acceptable a Police officer irrespective of the team he supports to animate his personal persuasion over his professional obligation, god knows what kind of society you want to live in.
