  • They had a VERY different concept of maleness or "manliness" back then.

    Cultural comparisons between them and us are likely to be misleading -- they lived in a very different world.

  • Vivaldi is one of my favorite classical composers.

    Even though he does look a little "poofy".

    I guess that was the "hip" style back then.
