Yo, I have a Phenom II X4 965(3.4GHz) 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD Capacity NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560. Do you think I would be able to run this game on max settings without damaging or over heating my computer? I just got it and my other computer had overheating problems so I wanted someones opinion thank you.

Possibly but it might have to be run lower than the standard resolution because for some reason there is no low settings in the game. Its harder to run than BFBC2 which will run at medium on your card at 49 fps. I dont think it would run, or at least not well enough to make it worth buying.

Honestly, I know the pc owners are going to yell at me, but the ps3 version looks exactly the same.

On another note, this is definately played on easy or normal. My first runthrough was on Veteran and in like 5 hits you're dead. Tried it on supersoldier and 2 hits and your pretty much done (both of these without armour).

Ya. Its on the lowest difficulty just to show a walk through so i didn't die. The PC version is supposed to receive a DX11 Patch which might help but overall your right. The potential of this game with the engine is enormous but the graphics are very similar to consoles because of the console port. The Motion blur in the full game is way less than consoles though.

@Corvettefan4life Ah right on. I didn't know the pc version wasn't running dx11, that may explain a few things. I also understand that they may have had to dumb down the pc architecture to accommodate the consoles - it's unfortunate.

ive got a 360 & ps3, never owned a gaming pc but ive seen this played on one, & i can tell u both console versions are FAR more blurry than this one, theres WAAAAAAAAAY more pop in, & the frame rate is alot worse!!! u may not notice the difference on a youtube video because of the compression but in real life trust me theres a pretty huge difference

personally i was quite disappointed by crysis 2 on consoles after all the hype, theres lots of console games that look better

You honestly dont need a super expensive computer to run this game. You could get away with a $700-$800 dollar computer but remember, mines for sale :)

The PC demo was basically the 360 demo made compatible for the pc. Thats why the graphics kinda sucked. But the single player is MUCH better being that its the real pc game version. Want to play the best? GET A PC

Hardcore but they all look similar. In the full game its called extreme. I am super disappointed. Lack of destructable environments because its ported from the consoles and the graphics arent anywhere near as good as they could be. And no directx 11 support from launch. Also crossfire or sli doesnt work in the game yet.

In my opinion yes, it looks better than the original game because the lighting is alot better. I cant say if it looks better than the original with the natural mod installed but remember the video your watching is only 1440x1080 so it looks better on my monitor and when the full game comes out it will run a higher directx version (i will be on 11), and have higher graphics quality settings. When the beta comes out if it has better graphics options ill post videos so check

Thank you :). I put a lot of time into it. Ill have to post a video sometime. The crazy thing is how good this game looks for being in only directx 9. The leak is capped at 9 and I heard the highest quality setting isn't avaliable either. Runs very well as well. Can't wait till it comes out.

It's already on par with the first two Crysis! Pre-ordered the Xbox 360 version, then realized what a mistake I had made so I had to go back and switch it to PC.

Nah, you don't have to go through the trouble, I'm gonna get the demo on the first so I might as well wait now that I think about it. But yeah, my rig plays Crysis decent speed, sadly only like 30 on 720p when my system goes up to 1080, but it's pretty cool. I'll check you out, sub'd to you now. Thanks though man! Keep playing!

This game runs A LOT BETTER. I was only able to run crysis 1 at like 40 but ive heard that game wasnt a big fan of AMD hardware. This new one looks better than the old one with dx9 and ran better. It ran that smooth without patches and while recording, and i'd be perfectly fine if thats the best game would ever look so you should be fine.

Yeah, optimization is key! Warhead, while slightly worse graphics ran without all the glitches, and at almost 30 fps more, and I've heard from people this one is actually so far LESS demanding than them, which amazes me!

This is hardcore which is equal to high on Crysis 1. I have the beta and all the settings are the same. The beta is locked on a lower DirectX version and doesnt have advanced graphics settings. Its not just locked on medium.
