I think you shouldn't try to hit high pitched parts, It kinda makes those who listen to it lol. Try to concentrate on your own voice, I guarantee you will not regret it.
And no, I am not saying it is bad, exactly reverse. Your voice is really clear, and the way you sing lyrics is nice too, since I can hear all the lyrics perfectly, which some singers lack these days.
