The reason why you don't switch to another sub when you have one locked in like that is because all it takes is a little tiny adjustment to turn the guys lights out. It was obviously not a perfect triangle, even though Denny has a great squeeze it wasn't perfect. I agree that under these rules he lost and you have to play to the rules. He had to know he was down on points and if he thought he wasn't going to get the tap he would have went for the points.

Lame how that was scored. But Denny probably had a couple opportunities to sweep when that guy was flailing around. He should've tried to sweep, at least at the last 30 seconds or so.

Denny and Tom are teammates and friends here. neither has talked a single word of sh!t toward each other. be glad that the USA team took 1st and 2nd, instead of bickering over who won.

tommy was beat from the jump , winning off an idiotic system of awarding points means nothing. Anyone with half a brain can see Denny won this match. He pulled guard to the other guy gets a takedown point but denny puts the guy in a triangle and keeps him there for more than half the match but is awarded nothing and loses. Completely moronic.

you an idiot if you think not passing out = a win. He did nothing that entire match to either get out of the submission or improve his position. Denny pulled guard and kept him there front start to finish keeping him locked on a triangle for almost half the match. There is no question Denny won that match.

Great Job Tommy haven't seen you since NCAA tourney. Tommy clearly won, if Denny wants to win, he needs to work on his standup. If the choke isn't working, break free and move to the next move. If your down you need to make a move to get ahead. I watched Tommy wrestle in Highschool and College. His style in highschool always kept his matches close. Not sure why he does it but that has always been his style. When I compete and down I don't stick with the same move, I make a new move to win

yeah he was even worse this match than the last one he had with Denny. He obviously can't handle Denny's guard! Got stuck in a triangle for most of the match. This guy gets a point for a weak ass take down! But no points for Denny having him in a triangle most of the match! Horrible rules.
