I saw a show years ago and they had a relative of Crazy Horse on the show.He said that Crazy Horse wore a single Hawks Feather and not a Eagles Feather.It was well known to his family and this passed down through the generations the reason there is not a photo of him.This was because Crazy Horse would not allow himself to be photographed because he believed the Spirit would beome trapped within the photo.

Crazy Horse was a great warrior,also my personel opinion is that the plains indians were as good as or even better than the mongols at mounted warfare.As a child i used to read everything i could about native american's call it a fascination or whatever.America would have been a much better country if the native american'shad been able to keep controll.I would be very happy to see a native american be elected president.My grandmother was full blooded cherokee,she used to share legends with me!

As for Crazy Horse, he does have many relatives, but he has no true, direct descendants. Crazy Horse had only one child, who died at an early age, so therefore there are no direct descendants. In the Lakota way however, we take on many grandmothers and grandfathers.

I doubt any of the soldiers at that battle could actually distinguish Crazy Horse from any other indian. The archeology describes panic and disorder among the soldiers, and most were picked off with rifles at a distance and from places of safety. I seriously don't see how anybody would have the presence of mind to start identifying individual faces of the enemy to try to direct fire on that individual. Even if he had the only feathered head-dress, he still would have been too elusive to identify
