I don't see why it matters who has the best AWD. If it gets you from A to B....with a little added traction from the AWD, and has good economy, it's good. It doesn't matter if it's an Equinox or an A6. It's just a car. Too many people argue over stupid things on here.
i dont get the big hype about subarus ...watching this go threw that snow looked to me like it had a bit of a hard time..yet my truck in 2wd woukd have walked right threw this

@390merc65 Lies.. Every single person that has any experience with AWD especially Subaru will tell you how impressive it is in snow. Even the biggest moron knows how shitty a 2wd truck is. That's a foot of snow you don't know the tire situation or how agressive the driver is. Fail.
@mcgmark tires seem to be summer tires .....awd to the average person might seem impressive ....but it is not like subis are the best vehicle in snow..most ppl who own these things have average street tires on them like this one..but sorry ..i dont not..or will not ever own a 2wd truck
@mcgmark if a subi has open rears,,,how can that be better then a truck with 4wd ??..how is that possible?..if a subi has power applied to all 4 wheels ..and a truck has locker rears...how is the subi any better?...you have 3 types of all or 4wd..1 being a truck in 2wd untill you put it in 4wd .2 being an all wheel drive vehicle [and that is just a fancy way of saying it is in 4 wheel drive all the time] 3.front wd untill 4 is needed then the rear engages
@390merc65 subaru has symmetrical AWD which is way better than 4wd.... which means when a wheel starts to slip it send that power to a another wheel with better traction unlike 4wd.
@gasmaskhalo3 yes i know that ..and how does this work?..by applying the brake to the wheel that slips and transfer's power to the wheel with more traction ..so when this happens you are trying to get out of something and at the same time you have a wheel with the brake on holding you back , but i dont have to worry about any of this..i have a 4wd truck ..and i think an 80's amc wagon with 4wd is better just for the simple fact it is higher,and you can put standard snow tires on it
