1) It's a laptop not a PC therefore there would be about an inch between the graphics card if its at either the top or bottom

I have bought this laptop from Walmart. Its a good buy and works pretty efficiently. The display is better than most of the laptops in the market. similarly WIFI is working at a good speed as well. keeping in view the price and utility...i think is a good option to go for.
