I am ashamed of Obama...The reason the Senate Republicans reject his bills is because that he uses the same strategies to con them into trying to pass a useless bill to expand government...
"There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody. You built a factory out there—good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers that the rest of us paid to educate...Part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along."—Elizabeth Warren
Thanks President. Please, do not give up. I am sure those republicans have families which will make them think in a more human-oriented perspective. Some of them think only about one thing; $ $ $ $ $ $ $. But, they have forgotten that America is about more that just the rich.

We need the government to tell us what products we can and cannot use. We need the government to approve medications before ourselves or our doctors can determine whether or not they are safe or appropriate for us. I guess we cannot think for ourselves.
@Guilde, if he didn't spend that money, we'd be much worse than where we are right now. Keynesian Economics works best for thes scenarios. Don't be a fool and drastically enact austerity measures and lead us towards drastic deflation; what do you prefer a recession, or a depression?
Don't forget about protections for all of us who have taken out student loans! You have an entire new generation who are in their prime but out of work. We are putting off buying homes, having kids, buying things, and saving for retirement because most of our paychecks go towards our student loans whose principal balance will never go down.
This country would be a beautiful place if Congress could get past party-politics and their games. You won this 17 year old's first vote next year. Time to get the job done!
@DrewMacTV Get the job done, like he did last time we elected him? He led us to believe he was going to make things better, but he's not doing anything. Have you looked into all the contenders?
Good. You'll be needed to pay off the $16 trillion debt we Boomers created for you. Yes, we spent like drunken sailors. Took your debt from $100 billion to $16 trillion. We're just paying the interest on this big credit card. You'll pay the principal. Your taxes will be like those of Europe's--50% to 60% income tax alone.
You'll also pay for my Social Security/Medicare. I'll take it easy while you spend the rest of your life paying taxes and having nothing to show for it. Thanks!
@DrewMacTV YAY!!! If we had a "helping" Congress, we could increase spending ten fold and be in even more debt. I don't know about you, but I personally like the idea of not being in debt to a communist country.
@AQWorldsPhoenix Obama is thought, by some to be a man of intellect & high education. I see him as a typical lawyer ( not a compliment), whose early life was shaped by friends, family & forces not particularly friendly to what this nation was conceived to be. Nor to what it's become. my view, he is first & foremost concerned with himself & promoting his destructive social policies. I can't think of a more dangerous man that's ever been in his position of unparalleled power.
@rawgstal No man in modern times has come to power with less experience & less managerial experience. On the other hand, no president has come to power with a clearer record of political extremism. As a Senator, Obama had the most left-wing voting record in the Senate, brief as his record was. Back in Illinois he had a record of associations with extremists that would have sunk any other presidential candidate. But no one bothered to check. We were FOOLS...

@gev2323 Was that your choice or the government's to take out student loans? Its not like we have "protection" for our car loans and mortgages

guilde 3 months ago
@guilde It was either bailing out the car companies or letting the biggest industry in the US fail. Please take your pick ...
