I'm no expert on the Geneva Convention, but if I'm not mistaken, it is a violation of the Geneva Convention to fire anything bigger than a 12.7mm (.50 Cal) round at a soft target. i.e. ( human being). The pilots of those helicopters did the right thing, they should feel no guilt for what they did. Reuters should be ashamed of themselves for trying to portray these pilots as nihilistic killers. I'm no expert on the Geneva Convention, but if I'm not mistaken, it is a violation of the Geneva Convention to fire anything bigger than a 12.7mm (.50 Cal) round at a soft target. i.e. ( human being). The Apaches in this horrifying spectacle are firing 20mm (.78 Cal) rounds, some perhaps even depleted uranium, at people. There are no enemy jeeps, humvees, or apc's, anywhere near these individuals. War Crime? Or am i just hoping too earnestly that the scum responsible pay dearly.

The pilots of those helicopters did the right thing, they should feel no guilt for what they did. Reuters should be ashamed of themselves for trying to portray these pilots as nihilistic killers. The most offensive part for me was the fact that these pilots have to call for permission in order to fire on targets that within the context should have been considered threats. The ROE's are totally out of line and they endanger the lives of ourr soldiers for so-called innocent civilians.
