You forgot to mention in "Chichen Itza" when the solar eclipse happens a shadow of a snake runs down the side of the pyramid where their is a snake head in the end..connecting to the shadow :)

My family is from there. I'm glad to say I climbed Chichen Itza before they closed it and considered it one of the wonders of the world.. :)

The reason the pyramid's steps were built that way was so that when somebody climbed them they would't look directly at the gods (aka straight up and ahead), hence the easyness of a diagonall direction.
