For anyone whos retarded, wales has its own language but its not used in all parts of wales, south wales tends to be english speaking, some people speak welsh but its not that common,

whereas northwales and mid wales is more known for the language.

i live in pembrokeshire which is south west wales, we get taught welsh in school but thats about it. i speak basic welsh, english is my first language.

it has no relation with english because english was originated from the languages of the mainland

welsh, scotish, irish etc they r the celtic languages which originated in the U.K
