But then filming nature is a once only event - I have just finished filming the herds arrival at the waterhole and did not anticipate that one in 300 elephants would fall in. I had just finished filming when 3 seconds later the baby fell in. Then having just completed a weekend of filming in the reserve, our memory discs were all full, we ran out of space and missed the exit scene.

Reminds me of the elephants seen on David Attenborough's programme. The baby got stuck in some mud, the mother was trying to get her out, but she was only making things worse, then the grandmother saw this and shoved her out of the way to help the baby herself. They are quite intelligent.
