The land reform programme seems to be an utterly sensible policy. Taking the less productive lands from the vast farms (which were created by powerful people grabbing the land for themselves) and giving them to landless peasants who will cultivate them and support themselves is an excellent idea. What the poor indigenous people need is a means to obtain a livelihood, not free market doctrines designed to reward a tiny elite of the rich and powerful landowners.
Bolivia's white elite are wealthy because they control the countries land and natural resources, not because they are brilliant or innovative. The white Bolivians are mediocre provincial fascists trying to cling on to their wealth at the expense of the vast majority of Bolivian people. They pretend to espouse free marketism but in fact they are not-so-subtle racists who cant bring themselves to live in equality with the indigenous majority.

Another problem with Bolivia is a weak central government. Weak central government are bound for failure, just look at what the US try to do with the Articles of Confederation. i agree with you. Yes I'm only 16 but I understand. We have worked hard. I was born in Santa Cruz, but moved to Cochabamba, yet a lot of opposition grew against the indegenous people. We are far more hard working than they are, if then attempted, they would suceed, but I think Santa Cruz deserves to be on its own...
I dont agree with your statement for many reasons here is one: A system that has been made to systematically oppress certain groups of people will hinder any attempts to get a job that could pay for an education to be aware of the existing laws that currently oppress them into marginalization. Yes people work hard but did you ever ask yourself why they can't maintain a job? did you ever ask why some don't want to send their kids to school?
The reasons can varity but mostly because the insitiutions are based on a Eurocentric ideology that contridicts their way of viewing the world so there needs to be an incorporation on how their views can benefit the world trust me you can learn alot from their point of view. It makes me happy Evo is making all these changes and there needs to be a dialgoue between these "two worlds" in order to research an understanding of one another.

El problema de Bolivia es que no tuvo mucha migracion Europea y haci no se mezclo con los indigenas para tener una poblacion mas balanceada. En Colombia hubo mucha migracion Europea que se mezclo con los Indios y ahora forma el 60% de la poblacion. Mas de la mayoria de estos Mestizos tienen rangos Europeos. El 20% es blanca y el 1% es Indigena, 10% es negra, 5% es mulata, el resto otras razas.

In the 80s they use to kid nap cruseno college students because they figured if there was only a way to stop them from growing, it would be to stop the students from going to college, so they would kidnap them, beat them to death and hang them in the center of the city with their intestines wrapped around their necks. No solo Santa Cruz es una ciudad próspera occidental en Bolivia, La Paz es también muy importante, por eso está la Sede de Gobierno y además tiene más población. De hecho se la conoce como el "Madrid de Bolivia" o "el pequeño Nueva York".
Las mujeres collas son muy trabajadoras (y bellas), estudiosas, emprendedoras, profesionales y adorables.

The land reform programme seems to be an utterly sensible policy. Taking the less productive lands from the vast farms (which were created by powerful people grabbing the land for themselves) and giving them to landless peasants who will cultivate them and support themselves is an excellent idea. What the poor indigenous people need is a means to obtain a livelihood, not free market doctrines designed to reward a tiny elite of the rich and powerful landowners.

The white Bolivians are mediocre provincial fascists trying to cling on to their wealth at the expense of the vast majority of Bolivian people. Im from Santa Cruz Bolivia (None one in my family is from any other country) Im White I've lived in La Paz for 8 years and no matter what if im white or colour i will allways love my country even if we have indigenus, and its not just white people that can go to nice places anybody can go there is indigenus people that have money and they go werever they like, and they do not have the worst jobs, they choose to have it. The Bolivian president allows a family to only own one house, whereas if you own a few acres, they would be taken away from you so the indigenous people could settle there. En Sta Cruz hay Croatas y Alemanes de la elite, no campesinillos del Volga que se fueron a trabajar la tierra como en otros paises como paraguay o argentina, en Cochabamba mucho Frances de la aristocracia que escapo la segunda guerra. We are far more hard working than they are, if then attempted, they would suceed, but I think Santa Cruz deserves to be on its own...

The reasons can varity but mostly because the insitiutions are based on a Eurocentric ideology that contridicts their way of viewing the world so there needs to be an incorporation on how their views can benefit the world trust me you can learn alot from their point of view. It is true that there is a fight beetween these two bolivias, but it is not our fault. 50 years ago we were only a poor town, and they were the ones that didn't like us and always looked at as as if we weren't important enough. Asi como es la poblacion de Santa Cruz asi tambien es mas de la mayoria de la poblacion de Colombia. El problema de Bolivia es que no tuvo mucha migracion Europea y haci no se mezclo con los indigenas para tener una poblacion mas balanceada. En Colombia hubo mucha migracion Europea que se mezclo con los Indios y ahora forma el 60% de la poblacion. Mas de la mayoria de estos Mestizos tienen rangos Europeos. El 20% es blanca y el 1% es Indigena, 10% es negra, 5% es mulata, el resto otras razas.

The white elites, that have ruled Bolivia for so long, are nothing more than the puppets of the IMF, and the United States. Whereas Evo Morale's party is the other extreme of the coin. They are puppets of Chavez. Thereby, It's quite unfortunate that in Democracy 51% rape the rights of the other 49%. I hope that in a future we can live in a voluntary world, without the use of force. But until then Evo is as bad as the white elites.

it is true that bolivian indigenus people have been awfully treated, its sad to see that most of indigenus people have the worst jobs including coca and cocaine creating, they are treated as second cllass citizen, for example they wont enter a nice cafe or a cheap fast food restaurant like burger king because people in there will give them awfull looks, if you go to bolivia please help eratdicate the racism to this wonderfull people, and coca is not cocaine!

There is another reason why Bolivia is going to split: the two Bolivias that I mentioned, collas and cambas, hate each other BIG TIME !
I think it will be a lot better for everyone to accept what is noticiable even for foreigners: Bolivia is no longer feasible.
La Paz has a lot more in common with Cuzco or Quito. La Paz and Santa Cruz are SO diferent. For those of you who have not visited Bolivia, let me tell you how appalling are the differences.

In the 80s they use to kid nap cruseno college students because they figured if there was only a way to stop them from growing, it would be to stop the students from going to college, so they would kidnap them, beat them to death and hang them in the center of the city with their intestines wrapped around their necks.
