My Funny Valentine is one of my favorites; I like to play it when noodling around on my keyboard. But I have never heard it so wonderfully played. And I thought I knew how to play guitar, but, this is absolutely out of this world.

its like playing a harmonic at the, 5th 7th or 12th fret with the open string, only you use your left hand to fret and your right for both touching the string at the right point for the harmonic and picking the string, now if your question was how can he do that so fluidly, i was asking myself the same

I have watched this video so many times, one guitar, no effects, just a player with a flawless technique. I pray he gains recognition as the superb musician and educator that he is. Genil has definitely formed his own voice musically. Lenny Breau lives on in Genil's playing and from 2:07 Ted Greene note the facial expressions Ted has left his mark.

Check out the Ted Greene video at the musicians institute "Autumn Leaves" you will see what I mean with the Bach style ending.
