I loved this part of Sesame Street... this, the martians (nopenopenopenope uh huhh raaaaiidooo yipyipyipyip haha) and the pinball counting song. comforting to me as a kid.
This talking typewriter was one of my fave Ss characters as a kid. There is however another Letter B skit I'm looking for and can't find. It shows a bunch of things that start with B lined up on a wall. At the end a boy with a bat and ball comes and "knocks everything flat". This one was also used in ET. Does anyone know how I can find it? It doesn't seem to be on youtube and I'm surprised!
@Smartboy8877 Stephen J. Cannell was a Megahit TV Producer, and a Novelist. Mr. Cannell produced shows like The A-Team, The Greatest American Hero, Riptide, Silk Stalkings, Wiseguy, and Hunter.
Even though kids see a lot of keyboards on computers these days , I bet many growing up now have never seen a typewriter. I guess it's no surprise they retired the singing typewriter. Sesame Street has changed every bit as much as the rest of the world. How about a special antiques episode? Showing everything from audio cassettes , 8-track tapes , vinyl records , the old typewriter , land line phones and phone booths , and more. I've noticed a lot of change since 1980 when I was a kindergartner.

I have a question, what did he do for "I"?
stevenscottoddballz 2 years ago
i always wondered if it was black or white. are those sleeves gloves or both?
as an adult i think i can say that typewriters have no specific race, lol.
but i thout as a kid he seemed blacker than not, and i kind of wonder how this even became a point of curiosity to me.
