I have failed students for it, and there were 2 young ladies on a ship for a semester at sea during the summer of 2009, who, after being caught plagiarizing (just a few words), were both left in Greece and kicked out of school. I certainly hope you are not a teacher!

Haha! This is probably what my english teacher hummed while she graded the senior research papers and the reviews for 'The Canterbury Tales. I know quite a few kids cheated on the research paper and about 85% of the senior class cheated on the study guide for 'The Canterbury Tales.' Someone found the answers online and posted them on Facebook and the kids that cheated didn't even bother to change the words at all. Needless to say they were all caught.

@anne37745 First, the teacher is a woman, thus it would be appropriate to use feminine pronouns in referencing her in your comments. Second, permission was obtained to use the music and the singer and original title were acknowledge in the opening. Unlike students who plagiarize, we made no attempt to pass off someone else's work as our own. In fact, we clearly acknowledged this was a parody of another's work. The video and lyrics - the only parts we claimed to create - are indeed our own.
