  • 1 sec under 3 mins?

  • Hey, just need a help. Do you think upgrading to lion is a must? or should I be happy with my snow leopard?

  • @ichisuke03 I have to say that Lion is a lot better than Snow Leopard. Its built in multi-touch features and other added touches are superb. I have Snow Leopard on my old 2007 Macbook Pro, and I bought a new Macbook Pro with Lion installed. The only thing is, the new hardware goes well with the new features in OS X Lion. Regardless, you may benefit from auto-reboot on freeze, auto-save and other things in Lion. Alas, if Snow Leopard is working for you, then just stay with Snow Leopard.

  • @blicksflicks thanks mate! I was hesitated at first, since few people I know wasn't really satisfied with the new OS that they regretted it. I'm using iMac though with the trackpad.

  • @ichisuke03 Yeah. No problem. Don't listen to the negative things people say about Lion. I didn't take their word for it, and I absolutely love OS X Lion. It's the best OS Apple has ever produce. Since you have a trackpad, you'd love the multi-touch features. It's like the best computing experience I've ever had. If you have a multi-core iMac, it is sure to take advantage of your hardware, too.

  • your cute

  • is there a way to disable resume because I HATE IT.

  • Brings back so many memories, the phrases "multi-touch gestures, three finger swipes, pinching, and zooming" ---- reminds me of some girls I dated in high school.

  • Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion. Animallsssshhh.

  • @DrugsAreBadMkay1211 Actually Cat ish. All versions of OS X are named after cats.

    Cheeta 10.0

    Puma 10.1

    Jaguar 10.2

    Panther 10.3

    Tiger 10.4

    Leopard 10.5

    Snow Leopard 10.6

    Lion 10.7

OS XI? Or 11? Or 10.8?

  • @nicdem25 I LOVE CATS. Kittehs are my favorite, especially with a nice caption. Next it shall be Cougar!!

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST, FOLKS. OS X.VIII Cougar. COURTESY OF DrugsAreBadMkay1211!!!

    Heheh, ;)

  • @DrugsAreBadMkay1211 Actually, Many people think Make OS X 10.8 will be called Cougar.

  • @nicdem25 It will be, because I decided that's what it would be. I'm telling you, it was me that came up with it. Just ask them where they first saw OS 10.8 Cougar, and they'll say right on this video, from me. 8)

  • @nicdem25 Heh. ;)

  • What do you mean a fresh or clean install?

  • the new window manager is called "Missing Control"

  • Helps, I delete my private folder!

  • Your camera is amazing.

  • got a mac and very disappointed....so many stupid ways to do stuff which windows 7 does so much better and simpler...seriously wtf is wrong with apple.. its like they decided to build a machine that looks like a 3 yr old can use but requires the mental strength parallel to quantum physics to use beyond basic email/web ..might download windows 7 and run that on it.. now lets watch the complaints come pouring in lol....how dare u insult our religion

  • @BRACEY12345 how dare u insult our religion! :p

  • @BRACEY12345 Running Windows on a mac will slow down your computer. Mac's are not that hard to use, just get used to using Chrome, System Preferences, Mail and put Word,Excel and Powerpoint for Mac and your done.

  • @TheMightyHarihar That is a completely false statement. In fact, there are many people who have said a Mac is the best Windows PC they've used. With BootCamp, it runs Windows flawlessly. It may not be as smooth an experience as running OSX but that's more due to the OS. Also, there's no need to use Microsoft Office for Mac. iWork is just as good (better imo). Not to mention way cheaper.

  • @j800r way cheaper?

    Not with torrents!

  • @BRACEY12345 I agree =)

  • @BRACEY12345 Sorry dude, but you've only made yourself look like a fool here. Why the hell did you waste so much money on a Mac when it's clearly not what you wanted? You're obviously perfectly happy with Windows so what on earth would make you switch??

There are many Apple stores out there where you could have tried out a Mac before blowing your cash on one. OSX is not complicated in the slightest. In fact it's far simpler than Windows. It's just different.

Windows had this since the 1.0 version!

Seriously do you have (meaning Apple) to advertise this in top 100 "new" features???

"number 2 Full screen apps" yay hoo

    oh my god

whats next " 1st feature a power of button " for 99$ woo

  • @ZeuzIncorporated Its different. STFU. omg...2012 and windows is only then getting versions and an app store...but calling it something else. gay+lame=windows 8

  • NEW Mac OS - 30 min. review, watch here : watch?v=UQ-Fcl2mjuk

  • It's dumb that many features don't work on iMac's with the Magic Mouse

  • @ADKIc3mAnX36O i agree, but when you see, that like 75% of mac sales are notebooks, but i know im not confortable to use trackpad with desktop

  • Apple didn't drop the "Mac" officially, they just said OS X Lion because everyone refers to it that way anyway.

  • LOVE your videos!

  • Why do a clean install? What are the benefits?

  • @KimCheeHuu having a fresh compuer no more junk in it plus sometime file are courrpte causing slow down

  • @strickmans so in order to do a clean install, i would have to do a back up then re-format my hard drive? then install new OS? then transfer over my back up?

  • i want to gesture to the desktop, just like i do with 4 fingers up now, will that still be possible??

  • It is really irritating that some youtubers use the first or last 30 seconds of their video spending time talking about things you dont have to know this vid is a good example but chis pirrilo is even worse he talkes the last 2 minutes of his video about all his email adresses and blogs and webpages.... please like if you think this too!!

  • can you reinstall snow leopard if you dont like lion

  • will lion be able to be downloaded onto one of the old macbooks, like the old black macbook?

  • @TheMacZoneHD Nope, there will not be a CD Version, but it can be easily done because people have already figured out how to do it so if you wait for a few days/weeks later then Google a CD Version you should be able to buy one! Hope this helped!

  • Cool

  • The version feature does look very nice. I think many of us will use this feature more than we think.

  • Nice job. Informative.

  • Do you think they will hold out on the new Macbook Air so Lion can come pre-installed? Also, this might probably sound stupid, but will the physical appearance of the new MBA be changed in comparison to the 2010 models? i can't waitt and no matter what, i'm converting to Mac as soon as the Air comes out :)

  • Where can I find the awesome wallpaper on the Macs with Lion?

  • if i buy a macbook pro right before university which is august

  • if now have iLife ’09, should i upgrade to iLife ’11 or will it come with OSX Lion?

    Thanks in advance.

  • @dansz97 probably will come with Lion, like it has in the past, but you raise a good point, since its such a tiny download from the app store...

  • If you upgrade do you have to back all your info up onto a External Hard drive or will all the apps and documents and stuff transfer strait over? Im not experienced in that area please respond THANKS

  • iOS 5 is beast =D! But still very buggy :P

  • @cwbh10 IOS 5 is buggy? its not released yet

  • @iJvs11 For developers there is a Beta version of iOS 5. While the Beta version may be buggy it sure is cool!

  • i feel lied on.

    this video is only 2:59.

  • @OceanRiverify Read the title again...

  • @tldtoday i feel informed.

    <3

  • @tldtoday smartass aha

  • @tldtoday Awesome reply!

  • @OceanRiverify fail!!!

  • So is it worth upgrading? I just got my Macbook pro last month!!

  • @xmg007 Oh yes. OS X Lion is amazing! Well worth the $29

  • I MUST ASK!!! I'm a Windows 7 user so I wouldn't know but you're just now getting fullscreen apps?

  • I am loving the lunchpad, absolutely clean and organized which is what i love. gezz with Windows 8 looking good and OS X Lion looking easier to use then ever, i am going to have to do two upgrades. Better save up the money.

  • will it be free and already installed if i buy a new mac in like july?

  • @starvator OH good question and to and on to your question, if not then when will the macs start coming to stores with the OS X lion.

  • @guardianangel1777 When Apple ships OS X Lion all Macs will then have OS X Lion installed or you will get a free upgrade from Apple.

  • We just upgraded our Windows at my house.

And by that I mean we had construction workers here that replaced our old glass windows with new ones.

    lol

  • i'm actually most excited about TRIM support, there IS TRIM support right?

  • wow now stupid people have to use a Lion

  • When will safari have tabs at the top man its the only browser that has the tabs the old school annoying way and they have it like that on the iPad!!

  • @IvanDos24 Not sure if it works on Mac but on PC safari just right click the tool bar and slect new tab then you'll have visible tabs

  • @GuyofSpades haha no I ment like tabs like in Chrome, Firefox, Opra, you know? They have the tabs all the way in the top of the window were as safari is the only internet browser that still doesn't have the tab layout like that and its really annoying thats why I use Chrome

    But thanks haha

  • will i be able to order a disc for it? because i dont think i would want to install straight from the app store. o.0 i feel more comfortable with a disc for some reason lol

  • I doubt Apple will sell Lion as a download only forever. They will be screwing their customers with slow internet and they sold Snow Leopard for $30 last time so packaging costs don't seem like it was a problem last time.

  • i wish i could afford mac

  • hasn't multitouch gestures always been here? i'm using it right now on my mac.

  • PLEASE HELP ME: I don't know weather to buy an AlienWare MX15 will pretty much top specs or to buy an apple product with at least 15" (Laptop or Desktop) with this new OS X Lion.. I want to play games on it so it will need to run MineCraft and Portal without lag or problems! Please help me?? :( (Please thumbs this up so john can see this!)

  • @360sharman4 Oh for games you definitely want a PC so the Alieware. It might but i'm not sure if Mac can run Minecraft

  • @360sharman4 if you want to play games go with alienware. what do you want to do if you got apple computer?

  • @360sharman4 If you don't mind getting either a desktop or laptop computer. I would say NOT to go with alienware and instead get a desktop pc with similar specs, as it will be cheaper and do the same thing. Or any 15" macbook will run portal and minecraft fine. However, Macbooks are even more expensive than alienware! Seeing as you want to play games on your system, i would go for the PC and save yourself some money.

  • @360sharman4 Both will run those games flawlessly. It all depends on whether you want a purebred gaming computer or a versatile, sleak one.

  • @360sharman4 the 15in macbook will be able to handle those games....I had the same problem but im going with mac...

  • @360sharman4 you dont play minecraft on an alienware lol...

  • @360sharman4 Apple! All the way!

  • @360sharman4

Easy. A Macbook Pro. The specs are always going to be fantastic. (standard quadcore) And they run a fantastic operating system. The MBP keyboard and trackpad are a pleasure to use. Multitouch is fantastic.

I actually run both Minecraft and Portal. Well, neither are graphically intense games so they'll run like a slip and slide.

When you buy an Apple product, consider that everything about it will be fantastic. Support, retail, hardware, interfacing, software, innovation...

  • @LiberateBand amen to that!

  • @LiberateBand The hardware is outdated almost always, the OS is just one huge animation, it's unix so that is good, a mac use a shit load of RAM so you need more den 4GB, its expensive and you could get a much cheaper PC and just install ubuntu or some other linux based operating system.... you pay a lot more to just get the PC covered in aluminum and the fance white apple....

  • @LiberateBand You sir, deserve a medal!!!

  • @360sharman4 for hardcore gaming buy a windows machine. But in my opinion Alien ware Pc's are over prized, I think it is best to buy a custom made one.

  • @360sharman4 i love apple computers but windows will probably be better for you since the GPUs are better for gaming to help drive the graphics

  • @360sharman4 just those two games? go for the mac.

  • @360sharman4 If you plan on gaming in the long run, you're best off with the Alienware. If you're just going to buy games just here and there and nothing too intensive, the MBP is sufficient enough spec wise to run games like Portal/Minecraft.
