  • What do you do when the ball gets tipped like that?? KNOCK IT DOWN!!!

  • I remember Kordell Stewart from the 90s he was praised to be the next black hope in NFL QBz at the time there was Randal Cunningham and Rodney but not as great as Warren Moon or Doug Williams and Kordell as the guy to fallow Moon and to an extent he did now you got Mike Vick and he's good.

  • @MobHeataEnt Rodney Pette that is. Steve McNair came in after Kordell, than came McNabb, and Vince Young and it all just fallowed on from there. Jamarcus well he was (is) a bust so he doesn't count.

  • is that tom brady at 00:55 ??? =/

  • No...he didn't start playing @ michigan til 1996

  • Kordell Stewart was the original "Michael Vick" strong arm with fast feet

  • Some truly classic Sour Grapes here. Get over it fellas, move on.

No matter what you think of Kordell, he gave Buff and all football fans one of the All-Time Greatest Moments in college football. People will talk about it as long as there's football. Of course it was luck, do you think they draw those plays up?

And that 75-yard bomb Kordell threw - that wasn't luck.

  • 2:48 don shane. the channel 7 michigan homer. that guy's the worst.

  • hell of a arm go cu

  • Kordell missed the reciever and the ball was bounced up for another guy to recieve it I live in Pittsburgh and every person hated him with a passion as he was bad and never good and we knew that he was lucky on that throw and regret ever taking him but we needed a backup QB

  • @mshake2008 nobody gives a shit about his carrer in Pittsburgh this is about CU baby!!!!!!!

  • @mshake2008 You are greatly mistaken. He was "SLASH" the name given by the late Myron Cope. He was the most exciting player in the league as Slash. He started a new era of trick plays for Pittsburgh until present day. Randell El, was taken to be Slash the sequel, and helped Pittsburgh win the Superbowl with Trick plays.

Kordell didn't do that well as full time QB, but was great as SLASH, and Loved by Pittsburgh in that role and this is one of the greatest plays in College.

  • all of the cheerleaders got the shit fucked out of them that night

  • he probably wasn't to happy later on that year when nebraska kicked the shit out of them 24-7. Oh it was a good though lol.

  • 4:12 Dude wearing a "FUCK Nebraska" Shirt.

  • Is tom brady there qb?

  • What's Rae Carruth up to these days? lol.

  • Kordell threw the ball 73 yards. What a boss.

  • The Buffs will be back. Some day. We will be back.

  • 17 years later, a new miracle in Michigan lol

  • Hilarious. The suc Michigan scoreboard operator wouldn't even change the damn score after everyone and their dead sisters saw that it was indeed a touchdown. - Lame asses.

  • They always talk about the Flutie play but this was a longer pass and is hardly ever mentioned by the national media as one of the great plays of all time...

  • 4:12 CU fan wearing a "FUCK NEBRASKA" t-shirt. Good man.

  • @porkadachop I never noticed that after all these years until you pointed it out. Pure awesomeness.

  • @porkadachop That's why your fans are called "trashy" and ours are called "classy." Go ahead celebrate it...gotta hate a winning record.

  • @porkadachop I want that shirt lol

  • Holy shit he threw that pass a fucking loooooooooong way!

  • I know nothing about the game but that throw by Kordell should be in a museum. Incredible.

  • at 1:03 "leave me alone while i plank"

  • "If I were the defense I'd have a few more guys over there"........

  • dam ty law u let michael westbrook leap over u and take it from u but i love ya ty law u helped my patriots capture three rings

  • one of the teachers at my school has kordell stewarts phone number

  • thats their fault for not putting pressure on the qb

  • ill nev 4get this lol

  • and people out there act like CU has no history. you might want to take a quick look, chances are the Buffs have far more tradition than "your" school.

  • 27 yard line to the 1 yard line if that ball hit the ground. Thats an estimated 72 yards.

  • I miss the McCartney era at CU. Heck, the way things have been the past few years, I even miss the Neuheisel era.

Or the Crowder era...with that, I'm really dating myself.

  • nothing makes me more happy than to see those faggots "big blue" loose... even though were havin a down year, michigan will be our bitchigan... go bucks..

  • LOL great play, great play. Best part of this is all the hurt faces wearing maize and blue. LOVE IT.

  • And.... Michigan defense never recovered lol

  • @TheLastAbacus Um, they won the National Title 3 years later Einstein. LOL.

  • 2:58 -2:59 ,DAT LOOK LIKE RAY CARRUTH BITCH AZZ

  • i met kordell in atlanta at the gas station ,when we evacuated after hurricane katrina ,this dude is so cool he talked to me like i been knowing him all his life ,even though we both from new orleans,i got much respect from this dude

  • Vintage Keith Jackson

  • I was in high school living in Colorado when this game was on. I remember it vividly cause I was late to work by about 40 minutes cause the game was like a 4 hour and change but my boss was okay with it because CU won. Great memories. CU between 89 and 96 always played big games. Hopefully Embree will get them back.

  • If you freeze it at 3:15 it looks like the ball may have touched the ground, probably not enough to overturn it if there were replay, but food for thought.

This went about 8 yards more in the air than Doug Flutie's pass.

  • I swore I would strip naked and go up on my roof if we came back and won this game. After a rather lengthy jumping around and dog-piling and wild five-slapping session, I dropped my drawers and headed up there. All over the Hill, other naked people were up on their roofs as well. At that moment I realized that I am not as brilliantly original and creative as I thought when plowing drunk.

  • This and "Boom goes the dynamite" are why YouTube is the greatest thing of all time.

  • I was in high school when this game went down. My old man was on me to mow the yard and do some clean up as fall was approaching. This game was over but kept watching to delay doing my work. I remember thinking to myself, they're too far out for a hail mary as there's no's chance Stewart can chuck it that far. OOOOPS. Maybe not. Great game.

  • All 11 offensive starters for Colorado played in the NFL.

How did Michigan keep it that close?

    Not like UM won anyway.....

  • @billybfrom303 CU turned the ball over a lot during the game. I think Kordell fumbled at the goal line late in the 4th.

  • So crazy. I was 13 when this happened and still remember. I'd watched almost the entire game over at a friend's house, but my dad came to pick me up before it was over. We listened to the end on the radio in the car. I couldn't believe I watched the whole thing and then didn't get to see this play.

  • "So, who we got here now? You got Carruth, who can fly..." No kidding.

  • Such blatant holding by the Colorado left tackle.

  • @24rubikscube They NEVER call holding on a Hail Mary play. NEVERRRRRRRR

  • And yet, Kordell Stewart and Colorado go on to get run over in Lincoln by the eventual national champions, Nebraska. Go Big Red!

  • i just saw this guy on pros vs joes lol

  • I get sick every time I see this play!!!

  • colorado all felon team includes carruth, westbrook is a thug and easily could of made all-felon for 1994!

  • i was at this game 17 years ago........my souvenire soda cup sits in my center counsel of my car to this day holding all my work pens and change

  • @dtigers1983 gay?

  • Miss these days...

  • Props to Kordell from a Michigan fan. Also, COME ON TY LAW

  • CU fan through good and bad here - exciting new era starting JE and EB in the house, GO BUFFS!!!!

  • I remember watching this whole game at my house when i was 14. I was and still am a huge Oklahoma State fan and now an alum.

When Westbrook caught that pass i remember just yelling out at the top of my lungs and jumping up on my Mom's coffee table with both feet and just destroying it!! Then, i just bounced around the living room!! lol... Never have celebrated a win that wasnt an OSU win before or since

  • i've never heard keith jackson scream like that before

  • as a michigan fan i gotta say that was a great display of skill that throw AND catch. hats off to colorado

  • more like 75 yard pass.

    wow

  • I was prepared to NOTsee this game at the top of the list of the Big Ten fantastic finishes of the 1990s. Because the Big Ten always wins - right? Well, the Big Ten Network needs to show it has SOME credibility... and yes, this game (and play) made the top of the list. Right up there with the Flutie Hail Mary and the Cal-Stanford play (What play? Come on now... lol) as the greatest plays (and finishes) in college football history...

  • thumbs up if youre watching this because of ncaa 2004

  • @blahblahblah9929 you spelled from wrong

  • Kordell Stewart. I've wondered for ages whatever happened to him. He was in Pittsburgh for a long time, then suddenly in Chicago, and then when I wasn't looking, he vanished off the planet.

  • Comment removed

  • @kayper54

There was a big flap about Kordell Stewart being gay & quite frankly just plain stupid to cost someone their career as talented on the field as Kordell was. I'm a big Buckeyes & Steelers fan so I will always be a big Kordell fan for this game & what he did for us in the NFL.

  • I have watched this countless times and it just makes me so fucking happy every time.

Buffs will be back. It's been a tough stretch of road, but we'll be back.

  • @livercrock im an nd fan but i really do hope colorado has success in the pac-12. i feel like the sport is better when teams like colorado have success

  • @esSDeeThunder Thanks, man! Good luck this year, too.

  • @esSDeeThunder The Buffs are in a good spot in the Pac-12 as they'll have more success recruiting California and will be playing on the road in front of tons of fans (CU has a HUGE alumni base on the west coast) as opposed to very few alums in the midwest - not to mention they've finally got a competent head coach back in charge

  • That was actually about 71 yards in the air, if I'm seeing that right.

  • Michigan blew it by only rushing 3 men. If you put pressure on that qb he has no time to set up to throw it that far.

  • hahah, Collins continues to fail at life

  • Micheal Westbrook went to University of Villanova so it must be another Westbrook

  • @mrcluelessprodutions No, thats Michael Westbrook, future 4th pick by and spent 7 years with Washington. Now fights MMA.

  • Somewhere in those stands Drew Magary is feeling very alone

  • @drifter1818 hahahahahahha! linked!

  • love college football!!!

  • WOW how did michigan let that happen

  • he just threw it up how does that make it a great play for him ? lol the guy who caught it is who accomplished this...not stewart

  • if you look where he threw it from, he threw it 74 dam yards

  • Nerd

  • They should've started singing "Shipoopi" after that TD.

  • @DeltaFlyer69 strange that the yardage is the same number as your name...

  • Is that Kerry Collins? haha for Michigan

  • Is that Kerry Collins? haha

  • wut a gun

  • What a way to get the school record for touchdown passes.

  • theres no conclusive evidence that the ball hit the ground... wow what a throw!!!!!

  • Are you serious. The ball didnt come close to hitting the ground? It sure did. I am not a Mick fan. Try to enlarge the picture. But even from naked eye there is some question. Today it would have been ruled a no catch.

  • that was a nice clean throw!

  • although this was recorded as a 64yd TD pass, the actual flight of the ball traveled aproximately 72-73 yds in the air. Kordell threw the ball from his own 27yd line and if the flight of the ball were not interrupted by players, it would of landed on the 1yd line or even the goal line, therefore making the air travel of the ball 72-73yds !!!

  • @DeltaFlyer69 you're lying

  • @trippyness Not necessarily Heisman Trophy winner Jason White could throw 70+ in HS and I saw him do it many times

  • @DeltaFlyer69 no you don't...

  • Amani Toomer?

  • only NFL player I saw was Ty Law... Kordell Stewart and Todd Collins don't count lol

  • Westbrook. And Slash was a great NFL player. Rae Carruth was another Colorado player that went to the NFL. There's also Armni Toomer.

  • @bjchit yeah Slash was good to a point and Rae Carruth was decent enough and Toomer was solid but I was talking about a all pro type player in Ty Law...

  • There's no question that Ty Law was the best player of the bunch. How Todd Collins was given second string duties over Caleb Hanie I'll never know. But then again it is Lovie Smith.

  • @77KANG77 Yeah, Rae was decent enough... to kill someone! Not.

  • the ball never touched the ground! you may have wanted to imagine it but it did not touch the ground!

  • Ball never touched the ground

  • I've watched this again and again, and at no point do I see the ball make contact with the ground. It comes close when the guy goes down, but his arm is between the ground and the ball.

  • Gary Moeller needed a few drinks after this game while his wife was servicing Les Miles.

  • Ball hit the ground. No catch

  • The ball hit the ground. No catch. The commentators screwed up . The refs screwed up. Zoom in to see.

  • @ypdc7 What the fuck are you talking about?? Ball came no where near to hitting the ground...even after he caught it he landed on his shoulder. you must be another one of those bitchy Michigan fans....

  • Only the birth of my son tops Michigan losing.

    O-H

  • Only the birth of my son tops Michigan losing.

    O-H

  • @danehoy I-O

  • @vjrei If this is the only game you've ever watched, then sure.

  • @vjrei I'm confused. What's an "exiting moment"?

  • @MagdaRose85 LOL the moment you feel like "exiting" the stadium after dealing with such boring game.

  • Beautiful.

  • Thanks a lot for posting this. This one and Flutie's were both really great moments in college football history.

  • when Keith says Carruth at the beginning, is that the murderer Carruth???

  • @FayeFaye30 Yep sure is... Rae Carruth.

  • @FayeFaye30

    yup...

  • lmao...todd collins looking confused as usual

  • @Deetmonster LMAO i thought the same thing once i saw the camera show him.. fkcin todd collins.... the biggest joke Bears Fans will never forget..

  • @Deetmonster hahaha lmao

  • @Deetmonster Tell me about it. I'm a Bears fan.

  • number 18, the guys that the ball hit off his shoulder pads came and talked to my football team today lol

  • Like the DISLIKES......LOL.......Why because MICHIGAN SUCKS,and CHOKED?.....LOL

  • @gatorfan6471 41-35

  • Those were the days. It was a moment where I'll never forget where I was, who I was with. Kordell Stewart was a heck of a player. Most of the time, the Buffs always had a shot and if the game was close, they almost always came through.

  • Hail Mary, full of grace... the Lord is with thee

  • lol @ 3:05, as the hug fades out, I swear you can hear "I love you, my nigga."

  • Only Keith Jackson could've made that call!

  • came through clutch.

  • Dre Bly?? Can you not read?

  • Why was Colorado allowed to skip kicking the point after touchdown?? Michigan could have blocked the kick and return it for 2 points and win the game! This game never really did end.

  • @Weather130 Colorado would have just lined up in formation, snapped it and taken a knee. The same would have held true if Tennessee were to make LSU try the extra point after their game this year. The opposing team would just run a victory formation.

  • @Weather130 This game occurred before that rule was in place

  • @Weather130

Why wouldn't they just take a knee on the PAT?

  • Comment removed

  • @SektorCyraxSpeedy No that is Ty Law

  • @shaybird45 okay sry i thought

  • @SektorCyraxSpeedy

    no it's ty law

  • That may be the longest throw i have ever seen. From his own 27 to the 2 yard line

  • you got Carruth who can kill... er fly...

  • @niclondon Lol! =D

  • @niclondon It took a second for this to register lol

  • i've always wondered this, whats the stuff on the player's helmets? today they still do it its like stickers or something, players have different amounts and i think its the teams logo or something, what does it mea?

  • westbrook and carruth on the same team, thats pretty scary

  • It's so funny that roboafa still thinks the ball hit the ground. This is one of the more well known plays in college football history. So you just think that you.... and only you.. just happened to spot the ball hit the ground? And nobody else.... nobody.. has ever seen it.... does that actually make sense to you??

  • @jpe1313 You are right. I enlarged it . Ball hit ground. Ref was out of possition. But couldnt they and shouldnt they have reviewed that upstairs? How could the commentators have not noticed that??

  • i wonder what colorado fans did when they saw this. i have no idea what i would do if my team did that

  • @ah1106onps3 My dad jumped up and scratched his knuckles on the sealing. he then ran outside and screamed. Most of us most likely turned it off

  • I have to admit that was an incredible play! GO BIG RED!!!

  • Have you ever heard Keith Jackson's voice get that high?

  • wow rae carruth

  • I guarantee NO ONE expected him to unleash it like that.

  • Better days are ahead again for the Buffs. Got to turn the page and get back to this kind of action.

    GO BUFFS

  • @livercrock not with female players they wont lol

  • @foeasy16 aint dat da trut

  • is it just me or are those jerseys peewee sized?

  • wow i never realised it before but that ball was not caught. it bobbles in his hands and hits the ground. too bad no instant replay lol

  • @roboafa

Hits the ground?? What are you watching?

  • @roboafa yea, wtf. he was maybe bobbling it as he hit the ground, but he kept the ball off the ground.

  • @qwerty112311 the video quality is pretty bad, but right at the 3:15 mark the end of the ball touches the ground. it might still be a catch maybe, the vikings/packers game 2 weeks ago had this problem, but i didnt realize it ever even got close

  • @roboafa The ball never hit the ground.
