People who who join the air force are smart! The air force is mostly intelligence. Marines do fight their battles; that's why they have the highest casualty rate of all 4 branches. My friend is a marine, and he's missing an arm. The U.S. Corp, unlike the ROYAL MARINES, teach their soldiers to run into gun fire with a knife. (no intelligence)

They're in before U..S Rangers, and SEALS? =--) These soldiers are sent in first to clear the way; or the casualty rate would unfortunately be even higher. U.S. Army Rangers are Elite shock troops, and SEALS are Special OP. Winning wars is about intelligence, not physical toil. "There is only so far a man can out run a bullet." @bbrain14 you know what Britain and its Royal Marine corps are a very impressive group however, statisticly they have lost to the US twice (Revolutionary war, war of 1812) including US Marines... btw they train the same tactically, also US marines may have a 13 week boot camp but then they have SOI (School of Infantry) which is 59 days and they never stop training until they leave the corps, also US and Royal marines cross train Royals are in better shape but tactically equal to USMC..

hey bro you know when you get to itb or Infantry Training Batt. your instructors will give you the option to choose your mos after whats called common skills.
then you'll have to decide what route you want to go for. most of your buddies at school will probably want 0341 which is motorman, theres nothing wrong with mortors but stick with being an 0311. itll open alot more doors in your future. for example
your instructors will come in your squad bay one day and will yell "classroom!" then they will ask who wants to try out for BRC or recon training. if your an 11 then that will be a good option for you to take. just make sure ur a good runner and are comfortable in the water. Patrol week is a bitch. anyway bro best of luck in your journey to joining the Badest Brotherhood in the world.
almost forgot.... if you have time before your ship date and your not doing shit i suggest studying your General Orders. itll help you in Boot camp. and dont wear your marine corps shirt on your ship date. trust me "dont be that fuckin guy" you havent EARNED yet. itll mean alot more when you recieve your eagle globe and anchor. ull be there soon

Marines are basic shock troops - - Rangers in the 75th are elite shock troops (fact)
Marines are trained to be the first into an all out offensive, and Rangers are trained to sneak in sneak out and never be seen =)
