Considering it was a sentencing, which means he wasn't guilty yet, he has the right to not be chained down like a fucking animal. However, knowing he was possibly violent there were extra police there. And the reason they were there I think was demonstrated in this video. If anything this is an example of why they need extra 'pigs' in that courtroom.
