Gravity blasting (aka the freehand technique or single handed roll) = when you use the rim of the snare as a fulcrum to move the stick up and down, once you pick up the technique you can use this to play really fast... by really fast I mean 16ths at 300 bpm on one hand. I guess it's *possible* for someone to play 8th notes with it, but that would have no power and using it that way is pointless anyway.

I learned how to do them in High School (which was over 6 years ago). I was merely posing a theory when I said it could be gravity blasts, they are the easiest to do, my drummer in the death metal band I'm in would be proof of that, for he does it on our longer songs when he gets tired.

@ChromaticDeathVox A gravity blast isn't even really an actual blastbeat, it's just taking the one handed roll and putting it in the other parts of a blast-- the 4 blasts would be the hammer, traditional, freehand and bomb blast, with the hammer being the easiest and bomb blast being the hardest.

It clearly isn't, for the reason that it's not spammy and out of control like slow gravity blasts are. Very sloppy, sure, because the drummer probably can't really handle the tempo (290 methinks)
