  • And to clear the "time for service" message just hold the clear button long enough. Keep it holding after the gas mileage readings been reset.

  • It's an easy to fix problem. Just change the rubber fuel return pipes. Those costs just a few pennies and will take from 10min to a few hours to replace(there's tricky part removing old pipes as it tears apart around injectors). And after this change be prepared to drill your starter for a few mins( don't do that continuously in any way)

  • did you solve the problem, anxious to know since I have a simmilar. glow plugs ok, when its below 0 its ok. when it rains/ its wet i have this problem..

  • Not sure but just been told by Saab the glow plugs don't operate until -5 So ignore what people are saying about glow plugs and relay!!

  • @LOOKOUT2012 Hi ! Yes, the glow plugs fire up when it's -5 and when they engage the car starts perfectly !

  • @pitbullizer90 Injector seals are replaced ! Still problem to start when below 35% fuel in the tank

  • Leak off pipes and injector seals perish on both the GM 2.0 and 2.2 diesels of this age and cause problems just like this

  • Glow plugs are not working. You should listen to your car telling you it's time for a service =)

  • @abyssunderground I had that problem with my Saab 9-3 2.2 tid. and i try'd changin the glow plugs, and it did'nt help at all... 

  • faulty glow plug relay!
