  • I thought it was another Yes cover but I'm glad I tuned in!

  • I love you.

  • What a fantastic band!! Christina Booth is not only one of the finest female singers in rock today, she's also far and away one of the hottest and classiest. Just wish that their albums were easier to find! - just echoing Leoncom, especially about finding Magenta recordings

  • christina is awesome! love her voice and nice song too

  • Fantastic performance!Superb musicianship!

  • confused Magenta with Kapipa band. but I like two bands...

  • Very atmospheric. I love it. Well done.

    Christina <3

  • Christina is My Auntie's Sister :)

  • Magenta is one of the finest Prog Rock band you may find today.

Christina Booth and all the band are top musicians.

If you like this, listen Karnataka, Panic Room and Unitopia

  • They just released a new album a few months ago...

  • Magenta, what a FUCKIN GREAT band...Hope a new album and hope they to be more famous

  • One of the best UK bands of the era.

  • you're on you knees, wanting to please? o.O;

  • I just discovered this band and am thinking THEY ARE AWESOME!

  • To me, it sounds prog, if we HAVE TO call it something. Whatever the case, I love her voice, her melodies and love the band. I don't know why everything needs a lable.

  • These days if they know more than four chords, and don't require someone offstage auto-tuning them live, be grateful. That's probably about as good as it's going to get these days. Not because there aren't plenty of people with the desire and ability. The audience probably just isn't there to allow people to do it for a living.

  • I love Christina Booth <3

  • for the ones who dont see the progressive in there......listen to the instrumental behind the voice....all about progression in their music.

many verses,arrangements....everything point toward prog-rock excepting maube the lyricist...

progressive mean progression all along the song wich is exactly what they do. always muting all along the song....true prog-rock. listen to metamorphosis...wooaw.

    that girl singing...i love her!!

  • God, this is so much rock, it's not even funny. It's a basic power ballad - where in the holy hell is the prog in this?

  • I call it 21st Century Prog. It has a more contemporary sound than the orignial Pioneering Prog Music like genesis, Yes, and ELP.

Though it really depends on what you define Prog as. The above bands were very indulgent Prog. Move ahead 30 years and as well as that, you also get a more modern sound, which still has an element of Prog in it, but has other influences in there, like Rock. Check out Touchstone, DeeExpus, It Bites, Pineapple Thief etc. And we haven't started on Prog Metal yet.

  • There's nothing in the least bit modern about most of the bands you mention. Other than maybe Pineapple Thief, there's precious little in their music to indicate they're aware of what's happened in music after about 1985 or so. Just like the overwhelmingly mainstream power-balladry of Magenta that made me write my comment. If you like it, fine, but please don't call it Prog - or modern, because it is neither.

  • I'll admit that as I'm only 16, my knowledge is a little limited. But thinking about it now, there's no such thing as 'Prog' in today's music. What you get today is pretty much Alt Rock. You probably shouldn't call anything after about 1980 'Just Prog', because by that time, people were looking at different ideas. What you got from then onwards wasn't actually prog - just prog-like (neo-prog and then New-prog)

So you're kinda right. This is like the poppy side of Marillion than anything else.

  • She was great in Caamora

  • What a fantastic band!! Christina Booth is not only one of the finest female singers in rock today, she's also far and away one of the hottest and classiest. Just wish that their albums were easier to find!

  • @Leonecon can u please help to find any of their albums ! .... i just get their album Seven ... and i just knw about this band in first place ... so please just lil help , wish to hear for them more songs

  • She could've gone without the line "I'm on my knees, wanting to please". I mean, I'm not an immature person, but come on.

  • very good song...

  • One of my favorite Magenta songs, along with the Ballad of Samuel Layne. Thanks for posting.
