THIS IS PURE MAGIC BETWEEN STEVEN AND JOE IN THE CONCERTS!!!!!! THIS CHEMISTRY AND CREATIVENESS BETWEEN THEM IS FANTASTIC AND THIS UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THEM ON THE STAGE WOW!!!!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!!! YOU CAN FEEL IT WHEN YOU ARE IN AEROSMITH CONCERT!!!!!! THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!! THIS IS WONDERFUL!!!!!!
I was born & raised in Worcester, Mass graduated from Worceter Boy's Trade High School class of 81' and know first hand Aerosmith was rocking everywhere in New England all through my high school days and beyond. Aerosmith is by far the greatest American rock band to ever set foot on a stage. They always had their own unique sound. No band before or since has even come close
You're not crazy and you're not alone! Aerosmith started out when I was a teenager and as "wow" as Steven was as a young guy I never paid much attention, although I loved Aerosmith, but he is awesome now more than ever. They all are, but ST is amazing.
OMGOSH! Thanks for sharing this awesome live version! Seasons of Wither has always been my favorite song from Aerosmith. It's a shame that it is such an underated song. IMO it's one of their very best! My opinion of this song hasn't changed in over 30 years! Great song, great band and great video!
@johnwaynejohnson of course they had power ballads... a ballad is a song that tells a story. aerosmith does a lot of them. amazing and angel were called power ballads when they came out. dream on is a power ballad...
Im sure it says in comments down further than I am going to look but this whole concert was filmed and is on youtube..........try aerosmith concert for cancer as that was the benefit they were playing for. Its worth the search, and sorry I didnt take the time to do it for you :)
I wish I knew how to make video like everyone else does I would do one with an old feel to it maybe even use some footage with Liv from the LoTR trilogy, well since I don't it won't happen but it was just a thought anyway. I love this song & Aerosmith they still kick ass!
Seasons of Wither---Just how good is this song---and this a great live version. I know it's my favorite, with Nobody's Fault right behind it. Fucking brilliant.
@CAP1997FURACAO Hangman jury and Seasons of Wither are 2 different songs. In this video, they start off w/ Hagman and then go into Seasons. Seasons of Wither was on their 2nd album (Get your Wings in 1974) and Hangman is on their Permant vacation album which was released in 1987. Any other Aerosmith questions?
I saw Zeppelin. I bet you didn't. I had 12 tickets to their last show ever in MSG, June 14, 1977.
All you're talking about are some YT vids, wishing you saw these bands.
Oh how you amuse.
No, I didn't see LZ's LAST USA show (not their last show ever). I did see Aerosmith in Dec 1977 nice & close to the stage at the ripe age of 11. Obviously at 11 yrs old I was more perceptive than you. Keep dreaming on, I know you secretly love the song.
@Grendelmonster8u Zeppelin's last shows were in Summer 1980. Their last was 7/7/80 in Berlin. Their last American show was in Oakland, CA 7/20/77. Tour stopped short because Plant's son died.
The only good song on Get Your Wings? Dude, you need to see a doctor post-haste. And I doubt you'll look half as good at their age because most people don't as it is.
Well, then who gives a sh*t what you think of their hair!
Yeah, lead-in is kinda boring.
I think all of GYW is good, including "Spaced", though it's not a song to play live. "Lord of the Thighs", their cover of "Train Kept A Rollin" (best cover), "Same Old Song and Dance", etc.
I think their first 4 records are solid with bits on the following ones. Can't disagree much about after Pump...new music, a different kind of Aerosmith...but they do play better LIVE than back in the 70s.
Guitar: different styles, good complement. Whitford playing with the Hendrix Experience tours says something.
Yes about Toys and Rocks. While I'm really tired of hearing the over-played "Walk This Way" (despite luvin it back then), the rest of the album still rocks. One ballad-like song "You See Me Crying" has nice arrangement, imo. Most 70s bands have monumental albums, except for Led Zeppelin who have a bunch. Serious "competition" then.
Wait, you named 5 out of 8 songs from their first album. And you don't like "Dream On"? Oh c'mon, it's a great song. 6 out of 8 good songs is not bad for a record, let alone a first one!
It's you again? The one who names 5 out of 8 songs from the first album & says only Toys and Rocks are good.
Conditioned to "Dream On"? Lol. Look sweetheart, there was a point when it was heard for the first time and it was instantly likable. Didn't have to be conditioned by listening to it a zillion times to know it was good. There are a lot of songs one knows are good from the get-go.
Have you considered that maybe the composition of your head is a mishmash? :)
Hey, calm down with your need to justify your liking of suck.
Toys and Rocks are good start-to-finish.
No one can say that about the self-titled Aerosmith.
Dream on if you believe, falsely, that Dream On is a good song.
Oh, and what a nerdy nick you have chosen, copying a name from Beowulf. That you could not come up with an original name says much about your mind and your glaring lack of skill to understand anything original.
Steven Tyler's father is an accomplished pianist & said that Dream On is his favorite Aero song. Are you going to argue with a 93 yr old musician about the composition of it? Do you think he'd say he liked it even though in your dazed & confused mind it's a "mishmash composition?" Sorry, I'll agree w/ the guy whose been playing music for decades.
Your "truth" has already been axed. GYW is a great album & DO is good too. Are u going to argue against "Train..." also? My head = no vacancy.
Of course they covered Train, but you said only Seasons is good on GYW, and they made Train better besides. You know, some critics didn't think so highly of You See Me Crying on Toys and you say Dream On is "forced"? Not sure what you mean by forced then.
We know Toys & Rocks are their best albums. Thanks for yesterday's news. Perhaps you should go listen to GYW again; it's on YT for your convenience. Dream of a train rolling over your head while 5 out of 8 songs play from the 1st album.
Dude I have over 6 Train versions in my playlist (nicely in a row) from the original to Yardbirds' version to Aerosmith or whomever. Feel free to check them out; they're in the Music 2 folder. So don't even TRY to talk to me about Train. And I've got the LZ one too, but it's different too & doesn't quite have the same punch as Aerosmith's in the final analysis, though I love LZ. Do you like the friggin song on GYW or not? You are a master of evading the question.
And I'm still waiting for your explanation of Dream On being "forced" and why YOU think those critics were wrong about You See Me Crying. Cuz so far your "proper musical knowledge" isn't really coming through. You're talking about songs but you're not really saying anything. And now you're telling me about Train songs and I bet I know more than you do about them.
@TruthAxe hell no, i respect your opinion but aerosmith doesn't have just 2 solid albums, maybe you don't like the others so much but that's all, YOU don't like them
dude,,, he's 61 yrs old,,,, done alot of drugs,,,you've never been about to say something and forgot??? try bein in his shoes,, who cares,, it always turns out good,,,, rock on STEVEN,,,
perhaps those who think he's always high and want to hear the way they did it on the album... maybe just always stay home and listen to the album??? btw... they were REALLY high on the albums.
Whoever suggested Steven Tyler looks like he's on drugs doesn't have a clue about the raw emotion of music and the charisma that is Steven Tyler. Steven immerses himself in the music and as far as his actions, Steven Tyler is like a spaztic monkey on crack when he's sitting still giving an interview. Not to mention let's see you rock like that when you're 60 years old. ROCK ON Steve......you'll ALWAYS be my favorite male vocalist.
Steven looks like he's still on drugs??Plz,,,,, you must have never seen them when the actually were,,, Steven looks like a man thats in his music,, givin it all he's got,, beautiful....... Aerosmith always
Mannn I think this is one of my favorite videos of ALL time. It is classic. I love hangman jury, i love seasons of wither....and Tyler, Perry and all are in classic mode....just jammin and feelin it. GREAT video. Thanks for posting!

Doubt all that you want. Who cares?
However, name exactly what songs off Get Your Wings measure up to songs on Rocks or Toys in the Attic.
Aerosmith has 2 solid recorings: Toys, Rocks.
5 good songs exist on the debut: Make It, Somebody, One Way Street, Mama Kin, Movin' Out.
By the time Pump came out, Aerosmith jumped the shark.

Well, then who gives a sh*t what you think of their hair!
Yeah, lead-in is kinda boring.

Grendelmonster8u 2 years ago
Same Old Song and Dance is OK. I can put in the save column.
I saw them a couple of times, first at the then-named Brendan Bryne Arena for their first comeback and then at the Orange County Speedway.
Whitford is a better guitarist live, cleaner, more skilled, more fluid.
Toys and Rocks stand monuments in rock history.
TruthAxe 2 years ago

Grendelmonster8u 2 years ago
You amuse even more, Grendelmonsternerd.
Steven Tyler's played piano. That doesn't make him Beethoven.
Aerosmith covered Train Kept a Rollin'. They didn't write it.
Tyler wrote a bad song with Dream On. Everything about it is forced.
The rest of the songs on the 1st recording reflect a copying style of early rock songs.
Seasons of Wither shows promise of more accomplished writing to come in Toys and Rocks, their best recordings.
After that, drugs ruined the band.
TruthAxe 2 years ago

Made Train better? How exactly?
Aerosmith didn't make it better. They made it a different way.
Merely, you lack proper musical knowledge, training and skill to discern the difference.
You can listen to the original here: v=ci4EQDD4CqA
The Yardbirds made Train the song into a cover staple.
And most likely, these guys inspired Aerosmith: v=dnTJtTJejiE

Tomorrow I'll have you for breakfast. :0

This is the first mature song Aerosmith wrote and recorded.
While a few good songs exist on the first, self-titled recording, none were mature. Such songs resembled covers of 50s, 60s rock songs.
Not until Wither, does Aerosmith become a legit rock band.
Wither hints at what's to come in Toys and Rocks.
After Rocks, the band fell on the rocks, a long descent into suckdom.

@TruthAxe hell no, i respect your opinion but aerosmith doesn't have just 2 solid albums, maybe you don't like the others so much but that's all, YOU don't like them

He's a great musician, one of the best male singers ever.

perhaps those who think he's always high and want to hear the way they did it on the album... maybe just always stay home and listen to the album??? btw... they were REALLY high on the albums.

You are so right!!! Steven is da man and noone will ever be as good as him!!!!!!!!!!!
