Actually, they do sound pompous. And they have these ways of broadcasting that are hilarious to me. The whispering interviews. The light classical interlude music. The inability to act real. Oh my gosh,,,go ahead and bask in your pseudo intellectual, highly confident fantasy land.
NPR does have a leftist bias, which annoys me occassionally. But NPR rocks! While Bill Reilly is the biggest bully on Planet Earth since Hiroshima was dropped, Brit Hume has a good program that includes NPR folks, and people from the Weekly Standard.
The should of made it a rap! Cause this music really doesnt help the lyrics

My public radio station has one show that's simulcast over the local cable channel. It's still radio, but you can actually see it happen.
