  • Best Version Ever !

  • Over two minutes to start,...! Shit, for that we´ve The Ramones!

  • @SL4Q92W , Yeah, i love build up tunes like this and i also love the Ramones, best of both worlds!

  • supper stark

  • Einfach nur Bombastisch !!!

  • nogmaals,de beste band ooit!!!

  • verschwinde in gedanken..

  • Muito loco este som.

  • Just an FYI to all. The original version is not from The Greatful Dead or Nazareth or Jeff Beck Tim Rose. The original version and writer of this song is by a great woman folk singer from Canada. Her Name is Bonnie Dobson. She wrote this song in 1962.

  • @gonzod65 Which did not deter Tim Rose from putting his own name in the brackets.

  • Ohhhh Yeahhhh!!!! Thank you!!!!

  • Agree with Johnza29, had forgotten how great they are!

  • yeah cool version. prefere the original by tim rose though

  • O.M.G. This song! That`s it!

  • Amazing, i just got back into Nazareth and more than ever realize they are rock Gods.

  • 20 PEOPLE COULD NOT WALK OUT IN THE MORNING DEW. THANK YOU BONNIE DOBSON , AND SPECIAL THANKS TO MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SCOTTISH HEAVY METAL BAND NAZARETH, THEY STILL STOMP ASS.

  • I had all the Nazareth albums twenty years ago. Just started listening to them again. I did not know this was originally a Grateful Dead song. As of last week, this is my first song of the morning. Can't get enough of it.

  • @freethinkerer It's not originally a Dead tune. It was written by Bonnie Dobson.

  • @freethinkerer Hey, thanks for the info. I just listened to the Bonnie Dobson version and found it interesting. Not bad but I am a big Nazareth fan and still like their version the best.

  • Checkout Episode Six version, with Ian Gillan.

  • sounds good 4 15inch woofer's shakin the shit out of the place !

  • No Comment Zu Geil To Hot

  • dahm awesome sound on this track...the best ever

  • There's a pretty good version on Jeff Beck's first LP, Truth, with Rod Stewart on vocals.

  • 20 persons think that the dislike button is the download button.

  • Cool song. You have to check out Blackfoot's version.-It's awesome.

  • Naz's version way cooler better drumming better singing better GUITAR solo big time !!!

  • Even Robert Plant tried. No match

  • @lukemanify Plant recorded it for his cover album; call me crazy, but cover albums never seem to work well.

  • I believe Blackfoot does a version, so does Lulu.

  • @cemetory Blackfoot's version is really good. I like it a little better than this one. Though I do love Nazareth.

  • @agenturge Yeah, I agree with you on that, I dig Nazareth but I think that the Dead's version may be my favorite.

  • Toll! So hörte sich meine Jugend an!

  • This is really dreadful.

  • Besser gehts nicht!

  • WOW!!, great bass intro!!! FANTASTIC!!!

  • @ pjautuvas. I love The Allman Brothers too. I will check it out. "Life is as fleeting as a drop of morning dew on a blade of grass". I will come back and tell you what I thought.

  • @9KPhalak Alright. I like both versions but Allman Brothers one remains my favorite.

  • Great cover of this song, check out The Allman Brothers version though, it's my favorite...

  • @pjautuvas I listened to The Allman Brothers version. Not the one on your channel I must admit, however I like Nazareth's version better. I guess it is all personnal taste. I like the faster more upbeat tempo.

  • Oh my, what a beautiful song!!!!!

  • this is by miles the best version of this song !

  • Genau !

    Der Morgentau! !

  • there were 17 people who were crying for the morning dew

  • Nazareth releasing a new album April 18 "Big Dogz" and no this is not spam this is the real deal!!! Help me get the word out!!!

  • Vielen herzlichen Dank für's Einstellen !!

  • I have always loved this track since the first time I heard it, when I bought the album aged 16. I think I have heard 20+ covers of this track, and this remains my favourite. Although it's obviously influenced by Jeff Beck's version(s) I prefer Dan McCafferty's vocals to Rod's anyway, but I also prefer Manny's moodier guitar and Pete Agnew's bass is wonderful.

Beck's is a tour de force, but Nazareth's is perfect.

  • @ahorwood I dont know...I think that Becks is more to my taste... I was impressed by Rod's vocals...I usually do not like his songs much... This one is pure...I admit...but the other is more effective...imho...smiles...thanx for your input...

  • @ahorwood Have you heard The Allman Brothers Band version?

  • @pjautuvas I have now listened to the Allman's version, it is pretty damned good. I would say that it's now my decond favourite, ahead of Jeff, but behind this one. Thanks for the tip. I hadn't heard it previously, but now I think I am going to have to buy it.

  • Strange, very rock, but my favorite version is the one by Robert Plant in dream land

  • love the bass in this song! crank it up!

  • Thanx 4 putting this up!

  • Nazareth. A melhor banda de todos os tempos.

  • Amazing song

    Jeanluis2

  • Yeah, weird long time since I heard that.

  • Ses buzzant haha

  • ..excellent bass!

  • rod stewart jef beck version inferior

  • nice

  • not the best song but the one with The FEEEEEEEL, tearsome, fearsome

  • @buchseboelken follow the star and you'll understand.

  • Twat!

  • does anyone have the bass tabs of this song? or fingered out the main lick?^^

  • @adrinator666 I tried to, but i'm not sure, and it's only the very main riff, so... :/ (did it with GP)

  • Just magic.Awesome!!!I I believe this is the ultimate version of this great song.

  • ipod full of nazareth - best flying music ever! i mean on an airplane. ;-)

  • Latter versions by Blackfoot and even Robert Plant. This one kicks the krap out all of them. To me THE Naz tune. Dan is so beautiful. at first...and then!

  • I remember my first joint when I hear that ...

  • That pic cover is just plain heinous, not sure if Nazareth would approve.

Anyone guess whose skull that is?

I will give my answer at an opportune time. For now, it's someone else's play....GIVE IT A TRY.

  • NADHERA !!!!

  • love this song

  • Great stuff man, incredible music

  • crap.

  • Tim Rose knocks this out but Nazareth come a close second.

  • Anyone ever see Nazareth live? They must have been really loud in concert.

  • @KTKTRock .See them 4 times very loud and powerful, one of the best rock bands of all time.

  • @KTKTRock Seen em in the late 80's and as a warm-up two yrs ago for Purple. Just Pete and Dan. The guy is still awesome.

  • @KTKTRock I've been watching Nazareth since I was 17 now............51 and they get better every time I see them!

  • Just a great song, beautiful...

  • Gotta be the best version by far. have shook hands with Dan and bassist Pete; was like meeting God

  • the original was neither this nor Tim Rose, this is however the best in my opinion

  • I Grew up listening to these guys ... I never get sick of them!!!

  • shit.

    its NOT stereo.

  • timeless kills most songs

  • Grate sound,Luv it...Thankt for this.

  • This is the very best of Nazareth... Perfect.....

  • Opinions are subjective, I've just listened to 5 or 6 versions of Morning Dew, and the

comments. If you prefer this galloping bass seven minute take, fine. I'll stay with my

favorite, on the 1968 "Truth" LP, by Jeff Beck. The intense piano and guitar brillance

still give me a smile for perfection. Enjoy several, if you like...a great song.

  • sounds like the doors!damn!!!cool......JM.....

  • Awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh yeah it's definately 4:20. Thanks so much for the upload.

  • this version is original, because kills Jeff Beck version.

    Cúem - Bonfa SP Brasil

  • my mate del boy used to roadie for them and his claim to fame is that he sat in one night when the drummer was ill, still del liked a drug or two so maybe he just imagined it good luck del boy if youre still out there!!!

  • great cover of a great song!!!!!!!

  • This is the biz. Not a note or nuance out of place. Love that bass line. Still kicks bottom 39 years on!

PS - Saw Narareth in '77 at Bradford Uni. Great gig!

  • It's even better than the ORIGINAL song by Tim Rose!

  • this is the best

  • I love this song. Heared it first time in 1975, completely stoned. Until today it didn't lost its fascination.

  • damn i wanna light up now!

  • damn! I wanna light up now! haha

  • damn! I wanna light up now! haha

  • Scottish Rock RULES!!!! !

  • i vote for Blackfoot's version too!

  • great song!

  • Nice song xP :)

  • one of the best songs nazareth has played the part. LPs have all of them and just for a record player. This is simply a cult band

  • still prefer devo's version

  • best version of this song by the mighty BLACKFOOT!

  • maybee, i d know original always b

  • It is a great song. The Dead do the definitive version, but this sucker rocks too!

  • I agree the Deads version is by far the most soulful version besides Bonnie Dobson herself. Nazareth is a great band too, I like this.

  • diddo that, the deads version will make you shed a tear its so beautiflly heartwrenching

  • Grateful Dead's version is the greatest!!!!!

  • this is the song!!

  • The Screaming Trees released a version that's definetely worth listening to !!

  • ok but not as good as jeff and rods version, in my ear...

  • I have been searchin high and low for this tune for many years but have always come up short due to misinformation. I guess I just didn't look hard enough. Thanks for postin this!

  • Cool bass line but I also like

    Beck's version better.

I remember Nazareth from the early 70's with Razamanaz but this is the first time I have heard this. The vocalist reminds me of Axl Rose.

  • Fantástico!!!!!!!

  • Nice song to light up & smoke a bowl to !

  • This KILLS the Jeff Beck version.

  • @Mcjackdan007 and the Grateful Dead's version KILLS this one :)

  • @Mcjackdan007 does not!

  • @Mcjackdan007 listen to some Grateful Dead takes on this

  • @Mcjackdan007 I'm pretty partial to the Jeff Beck/Rod Stewart version.....

but I do agree that this version kicks some ass!!

  • @UncleVinty same here. i rather listen to jeff beck groups version, the bagpipes there are just awsome .P makes it more mysterious.

  • This is a good version but i like the Jeff Beck version better.

  • i love the Song
