In the end we got too lazy to pick it up every time by hand, so we just let it stand there. :)

First off, let me say that this is one of the coolest looking FLL robots I have ever seen. I'm curious how does the robot get around the "completely out of base" rule for scoring the first set of loops?

We have been double checking the rules in Scandinavia. There are no rules to prevent you from doing the missions from inside the base, unless it's described in the specific mission (like the truck for example). There were such a rule before, but it seems to have been removed again.

Ah the access marker was just a minor detail we fixed shortly after. The trailer is driven by a couple of rubberbands, which are being tensioned as the robot moves forward up until the trailer gets released. Pretty simple actually.
