  • Everybody needs to see this lecture and think....awesome..

  • interesting ideas but it will take hundreds if not thousands of years to implement due to differing ideas & understandings of many diverse cultures!

  • @MegaTrumpy I think you are a little off on your guess..thousands of years very unlikely...100 ears before we see a complete functioning RBE with a planetary understanding of its principles etc...maybe. But we hope sooner...more like 50.

  • This shit's got to go!

  • @Animalols u stupid man if it collapse everyone will too cuz american owns everythig in the world.

  • high chancelor sutler

  • I cant beleive people attack this idea. You must have a screw loose or something. It is so obvious it is painful.

  • Yes! finally someone is saying the things I have been thinking all the time. I am not alone any more!

For example: World population? No technology can prevent us from total catastrophy. Initiatives around global warming , reducing warfare, feeding the world, are doomed to fail if we don't reduce world population.Today , shortage doesn't need to be organised any more. It is coming towards us in full speed. Only by the way world population is eating all available resources quicker and quicker!!!

  • how many people remember the Star Trek episode where Spock plays chess with the enterprise computer, and wins and from that he discovers that the computer had been tampered with... One small change in one area, is not confined to that small area, the WHOLE system goes out-of-balance.

  • @ripem6126 When the govt prints too much money it is a form of taxation, which falls hardest on the poor.

I don't advocate that the govt be given a monopoly on money. Forcing people to accept $ via legal tender laws is wrong. There should be private currencies. But when money is over-printed, the market responds by making you trade more $ for the goods you want. This is another example of my point: there is no objective value of anything, so central planners can never set prices as PJ wants.

  • The only way this Zeitgeist system can be implemented is by force.

But I reject the first use of force against peaceful people.

So I must reject this system.

Joseph defines prices incorrectly. He says value is determined by scarcity, labor, etc. But that is not right. Prices are determined by supply and demand, and demand is fundamentally subjective. So prices and value are subjective and can not be set by govt. Only by markets.

  • @ripem6126 Not really just a realistic one that doesn't involve marxism. Which this is by the way although its followers will say no its not its better. So no its not cowerdly because its been done before and it hasn't worked so no its not a cowerdly view just a view just a view that people are bad and won't listen to some moron preaching BS like this peter joseph moron.

  • @Animalols and I just know a few pro war, individuals like that lol if there is anything bright of that mess it would be to see what they do.

  • Maharishi University of Management seems like a badass place to learn. Im applying in January for sure.

  • Perfect People will be living without having to work.

Its like vacationing for a lifetime

This is clearly where Human life should be.

  • @Animalols ahahaha! i gotta be honest, me too. :)

  • Im guessing all you zeitgeist zombies are marxist morans then.

  • Peter Joseph guy is awesome, I can only hope that someday he realizes that not all humans are born cognitively equal, and becomes one with the fact that there is a human nature and it's not always the society's fault for all criminal action. I shouldn't pick apart his arguments though, everything in this lecture is very well put together and I hope he realizes how thankful modern day intellectuals are to hear his great ideas.

  • accusing the Amish of cheating to obey LAWS OF MAN as it is written....proves ignorance of religions.

thinking technology advanced scociaty is insane wrong... scociaty is exactly the same as it was in the ROMAN age and science device has nothing to do with crime or abuse sexual orientation or any other form of human trait. Not grasping the basics make him fool running on follies Come see me at my channel and i answer all thing CORRECTLY.

  • @Peterwhitlock Your words, ideas and responses serve only to decrease the general IQ of individuals viewing your videos, mostly from the sound of your voice. You're like a small kid which constantly goes off on a tangent from one moment to the next. I don't know what to be more horrified about regarding your comment; the terrible spelling and grammar or the severe lack of intelligence behind your words. I doubt you even understood a fraction of this video.

  • "Social progress and human well being is always second to monetary gain". Such a powerful statement!

  • Have to start changing on a global scale

  • most people here make comments and have opinions still thinking from inside the box, without realising the core of the idea - The real issue is human behaviour; and human behaviour is largely created

and reinforced by the social patterns required for survival as necessitater by

the social system of that period of time

  • Peter, the Amish have lights on their buggies ONLY to appease the power structure.

They used to just see by the moon, and I am sure they would still be fine with that, but 'we' demanded they put lights on their buggies for safety. Just a small point.

  • --Money is a medium of exchange which increases the efficiency of exchanges between humans by relieving the necessity of a 'double coincidence of wants'

--Price is ultimately determined by the aggregate of subjective values of individuals. Amount of labor and scarcity are factors that contribute to value, but are not the decisive factor in price.

He is spot on in diagnosing social ills, but like the Marxists he blurs economic distinctions -- often throwing the baby out with the bath

  • the bill of rights is pretty dope though...

  • His ideas along with the venus project have nothing to do with communism, fascism, socialism or capitalism. It is in fact a new, updated 21st century version of doing things. All those other "isms" are from the 18th century, including the fundamentals of capitalism.

None of those systems proposed what peter is proposing. An economy and method of exchange based on natural resources, not pieces of paper who's value is determined by a small group of people. Isms are out dated, all of them.

  • @asant79 you mean like the barter system?

  • @laskji There are mechanics that know when to increase production, and then they trigger production in accordance with that demand, and you either get the product at a store with categorical storage, or it arrives automatically transported near your living. Not barter.

  • @Juefawn You mean like the soviet production Czars?

  • @asant79 Just saying an ism is out-dated means nothing if you are going to turn around and propose the same ideology as an ism - like communal ownership - which he did in a previous interview. "A rose by another name would smell as sweet".....

  • Thank you very much for taking the time to uploading these videos.

  • Some folks accuse ZG of communism, but in my opinion fail to realize that the capitalistic pursuit of happiness and liberty basically produced the same thing. Communism had the 'politburo' but if you really think about capitalism has the 'commerce-buro'. Many matters are decided for you based on monetary gain. Think about it!

  • Right now most of the people who are closed minded about the Zeitgeist Movement...or lash out against it for any reason...are simply too comfortable in the current system. When the current system collapses and they all of a sudden don't have enough food to eat then they'll say "This system sucks. I'm ready to try anything else."

  • Peter Joseph's ideas are all basically from Jacque Fresco. Not that that is so important...but I just wanted to point that out.

  • ridicule...

  • Peter is a very smart man. That doesn't mean you have to agree with everything he says. Anything that causes you to think deeply about todays problems cannot be bad.

  • is he alive today 25th jan 2010

  • @MrAds11: Who?

  • OK i was with him until he got to the cancer ind. If a drug company can develope a cancer cure, they will. The profit will be mega. And that would be the incentiveHow have all the other deseases in history been eradicated?

  • @ANTIDALLARD Did u miss where he says "efficiency" & "longevity" r the enemies of the free market? Cars that last 4ever would eventually destroy the market? Similarly, I cant think of anything more efficient than a permanent CURE 4cancer. Treatment hwvr is temporary = continuous patient visits & research, & therefore makes more $ long-term. Ur right about 1 thing, the cure could make lots of $, but that's assuming that the cure is expensive and complex. What if the cure is simple and easy?

  • Yes, but the industry itself would become partly obselete, and that would be bad for the industry itself.

  • @ANTIDALLARD it will eventually be cheap and similar medicines will be made by other companies there the price would go down by price competiton. And then the cure for cancer will be dirt cheap.

  • no it wont, no special surgery today that has been around for years is cheap, the only reason ur proposition would be true is en people no longer get cancer, thats why prices go down no one wants it, and the company needs to sello ut its products therby reducing its pricetag, to motivate people to go ge tit

  • @rast123456789

You are imagining a world without Monopolies and cartels. Also I think that medical patent laws make it inefficient and not cost effective to create the best medicines available.

A cure for cancer may be dirt cheap at some point, but not nearly as quickly as we are capable of technologically.

  • @ANTIDALLARD Chris rock said it best. "There's no money in the cure, the money is in the medicine."

  • @ANTIDALLARD

I have a homework assignment for you. Find out when the last time we 'eradicated' a disease was. Extra credit: Have there been any disease which have gotten far more deadly and prevalent in the age of modern medicine?

  • @ANTIDALLARD Of course there would be significant profits from a cure for cancer, but those profits would largely come in a short, patent holding time-frame. Companies can reap more profits if they keep coming out with new and improved products that in essence "put a band-aid" on the problem and create a market dependency for these drugs/technologies. A 'be all, end all' product would create large profits while the patent was intact, but after that, generics would simply run the market... cont.

  • What he's really talking about is the markets natural flow towards profit producing mechanisms versus mechanisms that are better for the human race. For example, when Brazil was facing the AIDS epidemic in the mid 90's, their gov't guaranteed free health care for all those infected. Sadly, the prices for the anti-virals were too high, and the US drug companies wouldn't offer cheaper prices. In response, Brazil ignored their patents and produced their own generics for the good of their people.

  • This guy and his ideas are genius, if you disagree, jump off a bridge. You are too unintelligent to realize that this guy really has the answers to life's problems. His ideas sound far-fetched, but so did Columbus when he said the world wasn't flat.

  • hey its healthy to disagree right, so I am disagreeing with you (to a degree haha).

  • It's healthy based on our current system, but for a system that actually works, you'd be considered mentally inept.

  • You are absolutely right. There will be peckers like buzzadler no matter what, that like living in a world of keen competition and deceptions. They believe the world is theirs for the taking, if it isn't nailed down. ....If they can pry it up, then it isn't nailed down. This is the point. We just cannot sustain this ridiculous one upmanship anylonger. Each of us are the stars of our own lives, and there are no stand ins. We should prosper together as brothers and sisters - not fight each other.

  • how does that quote go, "when bad men (do something)

good men must unite or be (something)"

  • thank you....

When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle. - Edmund Burke

  • bravo sir

  • @realhewdshug

Not exactly the best way to win folks over. I used to think these zeitgeist/venus project guys were just a bunch of hippies. I'm aware that during desperate times people can believe anything (hello Hitler) which gives me pause. How do they address control and how do they address free will and people being lazy? Is your plan to use the same control mechanisms in place today, just towards a different end? Talk is great, but what's the system we're talking about here?

  • I'm not realhewshug, but I'd like to point out the Zeitgeist "guys" aren't really interested in anyone joining. You join if you want to. pure and simple. if your ready. if not, fine, go on with your fussing and fighting for the worm...bite the big apple. you'll have plenty of company .

in a nut shell: if you compete, there are no end to adversaries....but if you cooperate, there are no end to opportunites. we can create scarcity to make profits, or we can engender abundance to find peace.

  • Thank you for that comment. Simple and obvious when you said it.

  • If you think I'm just going to blindly follow somebody in a New World Order you are mistaken. The day you stop asking questions of anyone proposing such massive idealogical changes such as these is the day you just become another sheep my friend. I was simply asking questions. If this is how you Venus Project guys respond to simple questions...do you really think anyone should trust your ideas? I watched the next video which was more informative than your response. Thanks.

  • There will be control somewhere. Who is going to have that control? Let me put it this way. In the future of the Venus Project guys we all depend on robots for labor freeing us up to do whatever. We can simply type in an item and it's made by robots and delivered to us. What if I wanted a nuke? What I set that nuke off in atmosphere causing an EMP which disables the robots society depends on? We're either free or we're not...can't have it both ways.

  • Comment removed

  • @pythos82 Okay A) Nukes wouldn't be available. B) TVP proposes social reshaping so no one would have a reason to do that... Please properly research The Venus Project, read all the intelligently asked questions and answers on the website (over 100 so far), and then comment or inquire. Thanks.

  • @pythos82 You wouldn't want a nuke. You'd have no reason to do that. It would ruin your life and the lives of those around you.

  • @realhewdshug

The comment you made is full of ignorance. That thing about Columbus is just a story we use to glorify our imperialist heroes. By Columbus's time, educated men were in agreement as to the earths' spherical shape.

I like Peter Joseph too. But there is only a thin line between his plan and the NWO, Didn't we learn anything from Marxism? Idealistic philosophies can turn sour very quick when they are put into action.

  • @realhewdshug

I'd like to add that PJ might not have the answers to all life's problems, but he certainly has done a good job at identifying life's problems.

Also, I like to keep things civil on the internet, so to clarify, I was not calling you ignorant. Your comment though, indicates that you may have been slightly misinformed about Columbus' contributions to round earth theory...

  • @realhewdshug this guy has pointed out alot of problems but he does not have the answers. If i didnt wanna participate cause i am a human being and i have a right to my life and liberty and pursuit of happiness i should be able to live outside of this system and take no part. Its kinda hard to take you seriously when someone disagrees you tell them to jump off a bridge. So if I disagree with this new form of slavery that is painted in gold do die get thrown off a bridge to?

  • @realhewdshug

Jump off a bridge? Excuse me, this is not the way to promote the movement. You don't say to people "well if you don't get it that means you're an idiot. I'm smart for getting it and you're not"

You need to learn a lot yourself before you become a part of this movement or live in this type of society that he proposes.

  • @john5246 @john5246 well said john5246. Many of our problems start within ourselves and our tendency to spout untrammelled viciousness on message boards whilst claiming to be in pursuit of the noble cause. The job for true innovative thinkers is not to create more divisions but to help try and bridge the gap between them. Encouraging people and harnessing someone's understand is more likely to get results rather than insults. Stay positive!

  • @realhewdshug

it wasn't Columbus, by the way; and if you belive so blindly and religiously in an given authority - you may have not realized the main idea ot the lecture.

  • @realhewdshug absolutely, about ten years ago i learned about the corruption behind religion and it rescued me from christianity, now through joseph and the venus project,i'm learning how religion came into being in the first place

  • @suckseedorsuckeggs Peter Josph is twisting facts yet people follow his obviously crazy communist way of thinking. Its a good thing this movement is laughing stock to most common sensed people.

  • @bigJ09z common sense in this context is what we the common people have been fed to be facts.it's such a common thing to say politicians are crooks and are only concerned with power.i think the venus project and schools of thought like it,is the beginning of understanding why.i have an open mind though,if you can show me exactly how they have twisted the facts,i am listening

  • @suckseedorsuckeggs Would people please stop saying open minded cause i can tell that you certainly aren't open minded. Ive found the zeitgeist people to be some of the most "closed minded" people in the world.

  • @bigJ09z well you really haven't been clear about anything one way or another as to why you disagree with joseph.i think it's a little short sighted though to say that any group of people are open or closed minded, because it just depends on the person.but like i said,i do have an open mind and love to learn,so if you have something to say,i'm listening,if you just want to say they are wrong and have a closed mind without any explanation,i'm not listening,so don't waste your precious time

  • @suckseedorsuckeggs This guy is saying nothing new at all you read marx you'll see that. But all ive heard is no its not marxism its something new there is nothing new about it its just rehashed and repackaged thats all. A lot of utopian idea's have been done through the century's and none have worked. They have ended up with million's dead that is for sure. I love to learn to but i know marxism when i see it and this is marxism. Really all ive heard is a bunch of 70's hippie peace talk.

  • @bigJ09z well jaque fresco admits that it's not some utopian dream where people like marx only had power in mind by seducing the people with the promise of a new day.it's about making the absolute best use of our natural resources, rather than relying on the monetary system as our main resourse and main objective.do you think they actually believe in the venus project,or have some ulterior motive?

  • @suckseedorsuckeggs Don't give that ok ive heard it before and read about those idea's they are destructive. Now just because we have some greedy people doesn't make the whole system bad. Hell i want to get rich but it doesn't make me greedy as for destroying the monetary system. That is one way to cause worldwide chaos and violence and anarchy. So i really think this project as you call it is a pipedream and would lead to a even bigger mess then we currently have.

  • @bigJ09z thats the first time I have seen someone put 'the venus project would lead to an even bigger mess than we currently have'.

    I mean..... wow.... speechless!

  • @nuksucow1983 Well im right about that because this has been tried before although under another name.

  • @bigJ09z .... A global resource based economy, where the all the resources of the world are made common heritage of ALL mankind.... has been tried before???

    Interesting

  • @nuksucow1983 Actually Russia tried it before and it didn't work out well at all I think its a pipe dream at best.

  • @bigJ09z What is your take on the worlds current state? what system do you think we should support, or what should we do to improve as a civilization?

  • @nuksucow1983 What do you want me say this Peter guy has the answer no he hasn't got the answers. I know we can all say greed, greed, greed but a long time ago I figured out people are naturally selfish. No pipedream like this or anything in this world will change people will always always want more.

  • @bigJ09z Why do they want more?

  • @Juefawn Because that is how people are its not hard to figure it.

  • @realhewdshug WTF really i thought he was just talking hippie communist bullshit lol.

  • Hey Buzzadler, make your own video, get some real credentials, and then maybe we'll listen to you. Type is cheap, show yourself and put something together worth watching or even following.

  • Because our training, our culture is about dominance, and about "winning". It teaches us we can learn enough to defeat each others ideas, or we can build enough wealth to overcome a competitor. It is built on a age old premise that is dying. It will simply fall off...just like our tails did. You don't have to like it. You don't even have to agree with it, but evolution does not stop here, and I'm happy to report that Mr. Joseph and Mr. Fresco have much to teach, and we would do well to listen.

  • very nicely put. Reassuring to see some reasonable people out there teaching the rest of us!

  • Thanks

  • The CHANGE, is one that happens from the inside out. It takes a good deal of study to discover there is a difference between knowledge and wisdom. Acedemics would have you believe they are the same. You study the material, therefore you "know" it. This is just a faulty premise, just as drugs are not the root of the drug problem, or to study history precludes of from repeating it. Peter is talking about a rebirth not a retrofit, and it will happen. buzzadler may want to debate a be a "winner".

  • Wow 7 comments and not one solution to our current problems. Hey lets just continue the transfer of wealth and power to the psychopath's. You should go recycle all your books. thats alot of paper that could be used for something productive. its ok its not your fault your so stupid your just a product of a sick society.

Have you thought about taking something in school that would benefit society?

  • this isnt ment to be smart. what job would benefit society. the people on top of the pyrimid seem to have it set up in such a way that makes this impossible. i agree that any soulution would more than likely take profit out of someones pocket. and there for would be bullyed out of it either finacialy or physically inorder to keep themselfs at the top.

  • You look like someone who is heavily invested in maintaining the current economy.

  • No, you'll look like a fool. There is nothing to expose about him; therefore it is inevitable.

  • @buzzadler You're gleaming, looks like your ego just took a vacation to hawaii.

  • In addition to my 5 comments below, the ultimate nail in the coffin, is that not only have ALL of peter's ideas been refuted, decades ago, but the Marxist ideology that underpins his "thinking" was NEVER DESIGNED to work, rather it was designed to build a "popular revolution" which would then be co-opted by the Ruling Elites who designed the propaganda in the first place, and then a complete totalitarian system would be set up on the backs of the slaves, much like what we have today. its a Hoax.

  • Peter has TWO Devastating problems going against him. 1) he doesn't understand the system he is critical of. he is right to criticize it but has ZERO IDEA how it actually works (and doesn't). and 2) he doesn't understand the alternative system he is advocating. he is right to advocate for alternatives but he has ZERO IDEA his alternative systems will NEVER WORK.

  • without money, there is no exchange, and without exchange, 100% totalitarian bondage would be required to manage the slaves to produce, clean, and maintain his "venus project", which would mean 100% omnipotence would be required. A great book by Mises written nearly EIGHTY (80) Years ago called "Omnipotent Government" absolutely DESTROYS this entire presentation. google it, it's free, read it, and then slap this propagandist upside the head with this. I hate dangerous dissinformation freaks.

  • He doesn't even know that these basic 19th century communist ideas were refuted in totality over 100 years ago. Mises, Bahm Bawerick, Rothbard, Hayek, Paul, Woods, Freidman, Rand, and many others have destroyed every single fallacious statement he is making in this horrible video

  • Peter has absolutely ZERO IDEA about economics, and he is repeating a lot of basic, 3rd grade "government fallacies" propagated by the Mass Media, Statist, Government Communist Complex that has so obviously indoctrinated him. The 500 character limit is obviously not nearly enough to refute this. I'm going to have to make a video to respond to this. Don't believe this. He is repeating 4rd grade Marxist fallacies about scarcity, profit, money, and zero sum propaganda. Pure BS.

  • Peter Joseph is an excellent video producer and dare i say "propaganda artist" (although i believe he is genuine in his beliefs) but he knows ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about economics. Even his description of the Federal Reserve is just the tip of the iceberg. His assault on Money, begs the Ayn Rand Question: You've stated that money is the root of all evil, but have you ever asked "what is the root of all money." It's obvious to well educated monetary scientists that he hasn't thought this out yet

  • The Zietgiest movement may sound a little far-fetched, but someone living 100 years ago would think men walking on the moon and people communicating with anyone anywhere at anytime a little far-fetched.

  • aah, great , i'm happy you asked that. okay..i hope you can take 2 hours of your spare time to watch the actually movie of "Zeitgeist: Addendum" its a really long process of explanation, but its really worth watching, i think of another way to explain it to you asides watching this movie. to answer your question, people wouldn't be working. =)

how?? watch the movie. its really really really worth it.

  • okay, see looks like were on the same page, different ideas. you can't blame them, and why? because of self preservation, self interest which creates competition and originates from this system, and like all other solved problems, we need to solve the problem from where it originates, so thats why we want to eliminate this corrupt greed filled system where everything has a price tag. if there wasn't a monetary system their wouldn't be that corporation taking money from the gov.

  • You know, I can understand completely people disagreeing with us.

But if you're going to, ask questions so you understand what we actually propose first. Or, shut the fuck up.

Critical discussion is absolutely pointless if you don't understand what you're being critical of.

  • Hes just talking. Dont freak out on him! talk to him. Give him ideas. Peace

  • sorry about that, my fault, a big one, what i ment you say when i said 'free' market'(i completely forgot the meaning ) what i do want to say the market they are trying to organize isn't much of a market because their isn't any exchange of anything, its actually just , not an EVEN but a necessary distribution of goods through machines to people. " and how a group with a monopoly on the initiation of violence is necessary" please reword it =)

  • This specific type of government mentioned is for the core purposes are to eliminate cash flow, eliminate competition and eliminate a market, a 'free' market wouldn't be a market at all.

  • Zeitgeist is BULLSHIT.

  • bullshit which fertilizes the soil and gives life to new organisms to flourish.

    right on brother.

    nice warm words.

  • Why?

  • Why?

  • norway spiral

  • ok ir"rational bullets". this may be the most concise and logical thing that i have ever heard regarding money.

    "money... it's a crime..."

  • Why don't YOU inform yourself, like this guy did?? Jacque Fresco's been around for a long, long time, ya know.....

  • I think that this guy makes total sense . . .

While it is true, I will operate within the system that exists at the moment, I see the value it what he says.

  • A modern day genius

  • did they have electric lights on the buggy to comply with road law?

  • Comment removed

  • notice his voice tone at this video and at the other video that comes after this part. its funny

  • Peter is pushing for new world order. and he wants to grow too fast but we must slow down. plus Peter has taken this way too serious and its not good at all. i do respect his work though and i think he deserves to be President or king of the world.

  • Me again, lol.

Hey Tyson, are you planning on posting part 2? I'm only asking 'cause you literaly are one of the lucky only ones that does not have a ten minute restriction to you-tube clips. Take care

  • wasnt ther supposed to be a q % a? or was that soemthing im confused about?

  • hey bro part 2 is available now.

  • Thanks for posting. Hope you can post the rest once its available.
