Actually, it's manual and here is why:

- At 1:17, see the shifter?

- At 1:26, The SLR Stirling moss has those optional auto-shift clickers on the steering wheel. (Watch his hands)

nope... it's an automatic (not DSG) with steering wheel mounted shifters. Its a regular slushbox with 7 speeds and a torque converter. It's all hydraulic like most automatic transmissions. It's the equivalent to an automatic corvette with steering wheel shifters.

no dumbass a supercharger and a turbo are extremely different. turbo chargers are far more efficient and create better high end power. if tuned correctly they can outperform a supercharger in everyway. go to wikipedia and read the difference. good boy.

lol superchargers are powered directly by the engine so their is no lag... where as turbo (with high boost) there is obvious lag, also if you tune the turbo to peak high end power you lose a lot of low end power. i just thought i'd point that out cuz your comment sounded like you said supercharger were inferior to turbo

both have there pros and cons but the only real difference between the two it price everything else can be sorted out with tuning

that silly little vent , is probably a turbo or engine intake feeder, the best way to get air into the engine is staright ahead air stream, it is also an aftermarket symbol for hugly turbo charged cars , so mercedes putting it on there is not a question of possibility it is a nessasity! not only for looks

they have a dual clutch transmission which means its automatic and manual.

because the transmission is so advance and so matched to the motor, a manual would not work in it. it drives better that way also. they shift faster are more fuel efficient, and not as heavy as they once were in the past. the C class has a manual tranny available.
