I've been to Sweden before, and no offense but I didn't like the food at all.. but then again, I'm mexican and our food is way different. Also, Jamie is right, swedish women are indeed the most beautiful women of all.

@Yopz it's hard to compete with Mexican food, you have one of the best cousins in the world ! We swedes got long cold winters and back in the days it was all about survival. Save and preserve food for the winter. Anyways there are alot of goodies but it depends alot on the season. Pickled food, smoked food etc is common because of our though climate.

As a Swede I must say that, despite the olive oil, his salmon looks beautiful and (although slightly different from what is considered traditional here) quite faithful to the original dish.

However, he forgets to mention that you should never attempt this without freezing the fish for a couple of days before, which kills off the parasites. It's just like when you're making sushi. Many people seem to thing that the curing process substitutes freezing, which it doesn't.
