If the worse the moron could come up with was the guy in the back seat may get car sick I think that is a rather good review but a piss poor reviewer. I have no trouble backing up myself but i have a 2009 with the six speed manual. It does HATE reverse and takes some getting used to without stalling but I think of it as part of its personality :) P.S. If you throw up in my back seat I will kick your sorry ass to the curb!
I'm getting my 2012 sxt around christmas...to solve the problem of reversing...just reverse PARK. LOL but i did notice that reversing in the challenger is awfully slow i guess it was for that sole purpose. other than that the test drive was fun and can't wait to get mine in less than a month!
@Rsaint17 Same haha, I really want this car... He made me notice it now i saw how sexy it is. and how much of a change it is. Every one is like, "OH the Chamaro this... The Chamaro that...." That car is old as fuck now... Its so burnt out... I don't care what any one says. I Love me my dodge challenger!!

i think if you drive people around who are prone to car sickness, id imagine you would want something like a caravan, or an astro. plenty of room so you don't get splashed and if you throw down some plastic and take the seats out you can just hose it out.
I own a '09 Challenger. Each time i walk to the garage, it seems impressingly beautiful. Even if iv'e had it for over a year now, it still seems inpressing. Maybe it's not the fastest, but for sure, it's got style. BMW's are better made? okay. But they ain't got a soul. The challenger it's just a badass machine you will love once you drive it, if you really look for fun and not just numbers. You just have to hear that addictive growling sound you get when you give it gas.
@machone7I my fiance has a 2010 SRT8 and yes, it sure does turn heads and actually still has that classic but modern look. People always give compliments to him when we go out.
I just got the 2010 srt-8 in hemi orange. It is almost dangerous to drive because people are slowing down or speeding up to check it out and not paying attention to what is in front of them. I have owned a few nice cars over the years but have never gotten such much Wow factor. If you actually get to drive one you will fall in love with it instantly. it really is one "Bad Ass" machine!!
@xFU210nGURAx And? That's not the purpose of the car. First, it handles very well. It's quite impressing how safe and solid it feels, being a two ton car. Ït grips pretty well, and it's good in small mountain roads, considering weight and size. But it's not a track car. It's a car you buy to enjoy, to make long travels, to squirm the tyres as you launch in traffic lights, to enjoy the V8 music, to hear the people saying "ain't that a moostan'?" I bet you don't get that in a Lotus.
Jimi I agree the Challenger is the best looking in the muscle car throwback wars... it looks the closest to the original in my opinion. When ppl buy muscle cars they car little for handling. I'd trade my mustang for your dodge on any day.
best looking car on the road but you have to get the srt8 to get a good one. the 5.7 is a truck engine. so your looking around 42 the problem is you can get the 2010 camaro ss for around 37 and it's faster but not as good looking...

These bullshit "challengers" just don't rate next to the real thing. I can't take my real 1973 Dodge Challenger anywhere without looks and compliments.
LOL, I would love to own this car, but now that he mention about the 'pillar' and a vomit corner waiting to happen. LOL I would have to reconsider or wait until Chrysler/Dodge make the necessary modifications. Love that power (V8) though.
@theagent3 who gives a shit about the back seat, its a sports car not an suv. People buy this car for the power and looks , not to drive around with passengers in the back seat. This guy doing the review is a dumbass
ive got one aswell and it handles like a dog drinks petrol like anything but it does what a muscle car should and everytime i go to get in it i have a huge grin on my face before ive even started the engine. plus these are relativly rare in the UK :)
you know every one says so much shit about the challenger and how it drives and so on and so forth but my dad has one srt8 that is and i drove it and i didnt find not problem with backing out of parkin spots or the blind sight shit he was talkin about maybe its just the driver
yea, i dont care if the ride is alitle bit bad or its alitle too heavy, i bought my challenger for the loooks, its a bad ass car with a nice engine that produces an amazing sound. a car is a car that takes you from a to b!!
@10eleven thats what i do with my truck all the time, not that its THAT bad looking behind me, but why pay for a rearview backup camera if you can park right 100% agreed.
lol " and the regular hemi v8" how many cars nowadays can that be said about? the regular ole' small 5.7 hemi v8.. nowadays nothing comes with a v8, let alone a regular and big v8
I own one and it seems like a lot of people here are complaining about a half second or what this car does in the 1/4 mile, well let me tell you,who cares? This is THE best looking car of the bunch. The Challenger, most people don't even know what they are. There can be an $80,000 Corvette, a $100,000 Porsche and a $70,000 BMW driving by that people won't even think twice about. My SRT gets people looking. To me, it's better than worrying about a few 100ths of a second difference in the 1/4 mile.
That's what it's about, the looks.People in NYC see Lambos and Ferraris every single day. When one of these SRT8 Challengers came by,heads turn and eyes stay focused on it.ANd people who worry about gas prices shouldn't worry about the next man driving a muscle car. If they own a SRT8,Camaro, or a mustang they can obviously afford it. To all those talking about gas prices, stay in your little tiny cars. ANd lets see what your lady prefers.
I got to tell you man, out of all the cars competing with this thing, especially the new camaro, and new mustang This one may not be as fast, but it looks insane. Challenger's have always put the beauty into muscle, and this shows it, 425horses under the hood of a drop dead gorgeous car. Pricetags a little high for me, but that doesn't make me crave it any less.
You said you have a Dodge Challenger STR8 well I want one too and I bet it drive good. Dang that's not fair I have to try to save up so I can get one but I have to get the Dodge Challenger SE the cheaper one or maybe you can give me.
@JimiMack thats the point of buying a challenger. it looks good, it sounds like heaven, its got personality, its confortable and can be used as everyday car. If you want a fast circuit car buy a lotus. track speed is not the purpose o the challenger.
@JimiMack i think you and 37 other people are mentally retarded. You get more looks in that pile than a $100,000 Porsche? You gotta be kidding me, I'd rather turn my head for a 1989 318i rather than any Dodge Challenger
@danny51981 1989 318i? Thats the laziest, smallest, slowest and weakest piece of crap I've ever been driving. I don't know how about people in america, but in Europe, thats what poor students drive.
Hah, i agree, i have a R/T 2009 Challenger in white! thouse cars are freaking amazing there beautiful! people shouldn't put these cars down if people had one they would fall in love with em! @JimiMack
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This car is a BOAT. If you want a car that actually performs, don't buy this. When America goes for real performance cars (vette, viper) the cars are phenomenal, but nothing else made here seems to drive well at all. Get an import; Nissan/Inifiniti, BMW, and Hyundai are all much better alternatives for performance cars.
Yes, it has pretty good off the line acceleration. I know this; I've driven the SRT8 multiple times. But if you beat an R8 it's because you were a much better driver. The Challenger isn't THAT fast. When I use the word "boat," I am referring to everything other than off the line acceleration.
I've always loved the Challenger; for all of my childhood it was my favorite car. It is quick off the line and it is gorgeous, but after taking it for a drive I realized it wasn't much else.
You've obviously never driven an srt8 challenger or maybe YOU dont know how to drive. It wont out handle an r8 but i can walk on one any day of the week in a race.
I've driven the Challenger SRT8 twice. I know it's quick but its no R8. It'll get to 60 in aroung 4.7 seconds while the old R8 will get there in around 4.3. The Challenger isn't that far away but a half second advantage is enough to make a car win essentially every time unless there is a significant difference in driver skill. The current R8 gets there in less than four seconds, leaving the SRT8 in the dust.
When DODGE re-emerged in the millenium, Chrysler & Jeep followed later!, The Big Horn & Rumblebee truck & Durango SUV's were introduced FIRST! reintroducing the Hemi V8, then Chrysler & Jeep followed with their Grand Cherokee, 300M & 300C, which didn't receive the 6.1L Hemi until no more than 3-4 years ago!, I didn't see the SRT-8 300C until 2007 when I was on the 110 freeway northbound connecting to the 101 hollywood frwy, the 08-09 Grand Cherokee are just now getting the 5.7 & 6.1L Hemi!
It could just be the camera. I have seen a 68 charger with hemi orange and a challenger with hemi orange and i cannot really tell a difference. But you are right, there is something different with the new hemi orange. But the TorRed they have it pretty nice.
I believe the classic orange was a solid color - the new orange has tiny metal flake - I own a 2008 SRT 8, bought it used with 1200 miles - it's awesome and the dealer mark-up is gone! My only complaint, no manual tranny in 08. If Fiat has their way, the Hemi is a goner - better get one while you still can.
Let me tell you somethin' man, Fiat is only going so far lol, there's no way in the world DODGE is going to sell out to them!, that was Chrysler that got bought out by Fiat, and the reason why the 300C's came with the SRT-8 package 6.1L Hemi V8 is cuz Dodge was Jeep, Chrysler, and Plymouth's parent company!, Dodge don't need Chrysler or Plymouth!, that's why they let Chrysler go, they just need to make the 6 cylinder cars for everyday drivers & the musclecars for us hot rodders lol....
you sir need to go check on your history, Chrysler is the parent company of dodge and all hemi engines are theres since they created the dayum thing including srt-8 and srt-10. Chrysler LLC was made in 1925 and currently controls Dodge, Jeep, Envi and mopar O.o
You have no fuckin' idea what you are talkin' about!, cuz if Chrysler were Dodge's parent company, they WOULD NOT be gettin' bought out by a foreign manufacturer by the name of Fiat!, back in the hot rod era of the 1960's & 70's, DODGE was on the scene with their 340, 440, 360 6 packs & 4bbl, & 426 HEMI!, where was Chrysler?, Chrysler had no muslecar back then cuz they were nowhere around!, if Chrysler were Dodge's parent company, then all of their cars would have used the 5.7 & 6.1L Hemi sooner
Chrysler didnt make any muscles cars in da 1960s ear under chrysler they made Plymouth baracude a 5.7 L hemi and dodge challender and charger just because chyrsler didnt release any cards under there name doesnt prove dodge is a parent company its just a division of chrysler
Also like I stated, Chrysler was nowhere around in the high performance hey day of the 1960's!, but you're right when you say it doesn't prove Dodge was Chrysler's parent company NOR does it prove Dodge is a division of Chrysler, it seems the other way around cuz Chrysler has always taken the back seat, it's funny how Chrysler is being bought by a foreign auto maker, but Dodge is rock solid, so if Dodge is a division of Chrysler, why is Chrysler being bought out?
Fiat didnt just buy out Chrysler it controls dodge too O.o, didnt u hear fiat is thinking about cancelling the hemi!! and dodge viper =[[[[. Fiat has 20% share in Chrysler LLC which controls Chrysler, Dodge, Envi and mopar. Chrysler got bought out and that included dodge sorry to tell ya bud =[ but fiat is gonna kill some good things we loved about hemi's and dodge ;(
No, I didn't hear about Fiat cancelling the Hemi, CUZ IT'S NOT TRUE!, how can Fiat control what Dodge is doin' when they bought Chrysler, NOT DODGE!?, Dodge is not going to cancel the Hemi when the Hemi engine is so successful since its return, and always has been successful since the musclecar heyday of the 60's!, I'm just not hearin' that!, besides, I would have seen an article about it here on the internet, yahoo news etc...
I just checked out the link & I don't like what I'm reading, but as far as I'm concerned, that's hearsay!, nothing has been finalized, and Fiat only has a 20% share in Chrysler, & the article states that Marchionne only has plans to cancel the 5.7L Hemi, not the 6.1, but then again, if Marchionne cancels the Hemi, either one, I guarantee Chrysler will not sell nothin' here in the U.S.!, if people are going to drive fuel efficient cars, they're gonna drive Toyotas & Hondas!...
I think their V6's use the hemispherical head design now, but as far as the V8's are concerned, that foreign idiot Marchionne better not touch them!, cuz like I said, hot rodders will boycott Chrysler, Dodge, but there will still be loyal Mopar fans out here, and the prices and values of the old and NEW Dodge musclecars are going to soar!
Headquartered in Auburn Hills, Mich., Chrysler Group LLC's product lineup features some of the world's most recognizable vehicles, including the Chrysler Town & Country, Jeep Wrangler and Dodge Ram. Fiat will contribute world-class technology, platforms and powertrains for small- and medium-sized cars, allowing Chrysler Group LLC to offer an expanded product line including environmentally friendly vehicles.
Chrysler Group LLC, formed in 2009 from a global strategic alliance with Fiat Group, produces Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge and Mopar® brand vehicles and products. With the resources, technology and worldwide distribution network required to compete effectively on a global scale, the alliance builds on Chrysler's culture of innovation - first established by Walter P. Chrysler in 1925 - and Fiat's complementary technology.
I don't give a damn if Chrysler was formed in 1925, they didn't start making news until the millenium, & Chrysler didn't start using the 6.1L Hemi in the 300C until no more than 3 years ago!, WHEN DODGE RE-EMERGED in the millenium, they REBIRTHED their Hemi engine in a 5.7 & 6.1L package, the Rumblebee trucks came with the 5.7L Hemi, when Dodged rebirthed the Charger, Magnum, & the Challenger, they come with a 5.7 & 6.1L Hemi, the Hemispherical head engines are Dodges' trademark since the 60's!
they hemi was created by chrsyler in the 1950s search it up on the chrysler 300!!! which they revived in 2005 and had hemi engine available. Its chyrsler LLC who calls da shots and they chose to revive the hemi!!
Chrysler DO NOT CALL THE SHOTS!, IF THEY DID, THEY WOULD NOT BE BANKRUPT, GETTIN' BOUGHT OUT BY FIAT!, also like I said, back in the 1960's, it was DODGE who was on the scene with their 318 basic engine, 340 & 440 six packs & 4 bbl, and the 426 hemi!, yes, Plymouth was also on the scene with the Baracuda, but Dodge was the Mopar flagship advertising the hemi engine! when DODGE re-emerged in the millenium, BEGINNING IN 02, DODGE REINTRODUCED THE HEMI V8 IN THE RUMBLEBEE & BIG HORN TRUCKS!
Back in the 1980's, Chrysler made nothing but 4 & 6 cylinder cars!, like I said, the only Chrysler car that uses a 6.1L Hemi is the 300C, while damn near all of Dodge's performance cars, the Magnum, Charger, & now the Challenger have been using the 5.7 & 6.1L Hemi, BEFORE Chrysler used the 6.1L Hemi in the 300C, so who's parent company is who's? & for your dumb azz info, Mopar is Dodge's high performance retailer!, always has been, since NHRA & NASCAR been racing on tracks! STFU!
If Chrysler were Dodge's parent company, then Jeep would have used the Hemi V8 back in the 80's in the Camanche truck & Cherokee SUV's, they didn't!, when Jeep, Plymouth, & Chrysler re-emerged in the millenium, they still used 4 & 6 cylinder engines, while Dodge went back to the drawing boards & rebirthed the Hemi V8!, & dropped them in the Rumblebee truck, Big Horn, Charger, Magnum, Challenger, & NOW the 300C & Jeep's Grand Cherokee! Who's parent company is who's?
Dude, seriously research. The first application of the HEMI engine was in the 50's on a Chrysler C300. Chrysler is the parent company to Dodge. Walter P. bought out the Dodge brothers in 1928. Chrysler bought out AMC(Jeep) in 1987. Chrysler was the one who went back to the drawing board, and reworked their HEMI design. Chrysler the parent company applied that engine in Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep branded vehicles.
Man, I'm not even going to bother researching, cuz it's a damn shame what's happening and becoming of the whole Mopar family, I don't give a flyin' fishstick who bought who, Chrysler was in the back seat the whole time, especially during the musclecar era of the 60's!, they had no musclecar!, yeah, the Plymouth Barracuda carried a Hemi, but it was mostly Dodge vehicles who ADVERTISED the Hemi V8, who was the 1st to bring back the hemi V8 when the millenium began?, DODGE!, Big Horn & RumbleBee!
Chrysler was "in the backseat". Chrysler is the company, Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, and Imperial were the brands at the time. Chrysler used the HEMI from 55 to the mid-70's. The fact is that Chrysler was the parent company, Dodge and Plymouth were the brands. Plymouths were just cheap Dodges. Dodge=Chrysler=Jeep=Plymouth=Imperial=Eagle=AMC. Thats the facts. Please look it up, you will not be so confused.
Dude, I'm not confused!, I'm goin' by what I saw happening in the automotive world, at least on the streets of Los Angeles, what cars had commercials being advertised on tv, and what cars were driven on the streets!, that's how I'm basing my judgement, like I said, I don't care who is the parent company, from what I've seen, it was dodge representing the Hemi V8!, and who re-birthed it in the beginning of the millenium!, like I said, Chrysler was in the back seat, THEY HAD NO MUSCLECAR!
They're already confused, lol! The person probably fixes a flat tired with scotch tape.Don't waste your time with them. They just hate it when someone else proves them wrong and your right. That's what separates the ones who make things happen, and the ones who wonder what happend!!!

The 5.7 is a truck engine? So for all those years the Corvette came with a 350, as did Chevy pickups, the Corvette had truck engines?
And what about the V10 Viper engine that was also used in a Dodge Ram. You are saying the Viper has a truck engine?
Thanks for playing, but you may want to stick to things you know about.

ss has a 6.2 426hp engine at 32k, the srt8 has a 6.1 at 425hp for 42k. if the dodge was better priced it may compete better with the competion.

JimiMack 2 years ago 43
That's what it's about, the looks.People in NYC see Lambos and Ferraris every single day. When one of these SRT8 Challengers came by,heads turn and eyes stay focused on it.ANd people who worry about gas prices shouldn't worry about the next man driving a muscle car. If they own a SRT8,Camaro, or a mustang they can obviously afford it. To all those talking about gas prices, stay in your little tiny cars. ANd lets see what your lady prefers.
datkoolbrutha 2 years ago 3
I got to tell you man, out of all the cars competing with this thing, especially the new camaro, and new mustang This one may not be as fast, but it looks insane. Challenger's have always put the beauty into muscle, and this shows it, 425horses under the hood of a drop dead gorgeous car. Pricetags a little high for me, but that doesn't make me crave it any less.
admiraljimmy 2 years ago 15

This car is a BOAT. If you want a car that actually performs, don't buy this. When America goes for real performance cars (vette, viper) the cars are phenomenal, but nothing else made here seems to drive well at all. Get an import; Nissan/Inifiniti, BMW, and Hyundai are all much better alternatives for performance cars.
soldier9599 2 years ago
with these words you´ve proven that you don´t know shit about cars.
Im owner of an 6 speed SRT8 challenger and I just smoked a AUDI R8 last month.
bad performance ? my ass ...
drive this car before talking shit.
this car got a history ... this car is comfortable ... this car is FAST "and" STRONG ... this car is a REAL american muscle car.

HEMIH3AD 2 years ago 3
Would you reccomend this over the camaro? I seriously am thinking about the camaro, but it's cargo room isnt that good.
noopsky13 2 years ago
Yes, it has pretty good off the line acceleration. I know this; I've driven the SRT8 multiple times. But if you beat an R8 it's because you were a much better driver. The Challenger isn't THAT fast. When I use the word "boat," I am referring to everything other than off the line acceleration.
I've always loved the Challenger; for all of my childhood it was my favorite car. It is quick off the line and it is gorgeous, but after taking it for a drive I realized it wasn't much else.
soldier9599 2 years ago
You've obviously never driven an srt8 challenger or maybe YOU dont know how to drive. It wont out handle an r8 but i can walk on one any day of the week in a race.
1halli 2 years ago
I've driven the Challenger SRT8 twice. I know it's quick but its no R8. It'll get to 60 in aroung 4.7 seconds while the old R8 will get there in around 4.3. The Challenger isn't that far away but a half second advantage is enough to make a car win essentially every time unless there is a significant difference in driver skill. The current R8 gets there in less than four seconds, leaving the SRT8 in the dust.
soldier9599 2 years ago
I have an srt8 challenger 2009 and i walk on cars all day long! Long live srt 6.1 liters!!

But the TorRed they have it pretty nice.
amer1cancer2753 2 years ago
I believe the classic orange was a solid color - the new orange has tiny metal flake - I own a 2008 SRT 8, bought it used with 1200 miles - it's awesome and the dealer mark-up is gone! My only complaint, no manual tranny in 08. If Fiat has their way, the Hemi is a goner - better get one while you still can.
AZFLSTC 2 years ago
Let me tell you somethin' man, Fiat is only going so far lol, there's no way in the world DODGE is going to sell out to them!, that was Chrysler that got bought out by Fiat, and the reason why the 300C's came with the SRT-8 package 6.1L Hemi V8 is cuz Dodge was Jeep, Chrysler, and Plymouth's parent company!, Dodge don't need Chrysler or Plymouth!, that's why they let Chrysler go, they just need to make the 6 cylinder cars for everyday drivers & the musclecars for us hot rodders lol....
VayLoc310 2 years ago
you sir need to go check on your history, Chrysler is the parent company of dodge and all hemi engines are theres since they created the dayum thing including srt-8 and srt-10. Chrysler LLC was made in 1925 and currently controls Dodge, Jeep, Envi and mopar O.o
SClassFinalFlash 2 years ago
VayLoc310 2 years ago
Chrysler didnt make any muscles cars in da 1960s ear under chrysler they made Plymouth baracude a 5.7 L hemi and dodge challender and charger just because chyrsler didnt release any cards under there name doesnt prove dodge is a parent company its just a division of chrysler
SClassFinalFlash 2 years ago
Also like I stated, Chrysler was nowhere around in the high performance hey day of the 1960's!, but you're right when you say it doesn't prove Dodge was Chrysler's parent company NOR does it prove Dodge is a division of Chrysler, it seems the other way around cuz Chrysler has always taken the back seat, it's funny how Chrysler is being bought by a foreign auto maker, but Dodge is rock solid, so if Dodge is a division of Chrysler, why is Chrysler being bought out?
VayLoc310 2 years ago
Fiat didnt just buy out Chrysler it controls dodge too O.o, didnt u hear fiat is thinking about cancelling the hemi!! and dodge viper =[[[[. Fiat has 20% share in Chrysler LLC which controls Chrysler, Dodge, Envi and mopar. Chrysler got bought out and that included dodge sorry to tell ya bud =[ but fiat is gonna kill some good things we loved about hemi's and dodge ;(
SClassFinalFlash 2 years ago
No, I didn't hear about Fiat cancelling the Hemi, CUZ IT'S NOT TRUE!, how can Fiat control what Dodge is doin' when they bought Chrysler, NOT DODGE!?, Dodge is not going to cancel the Hemi when the Hemi engine is so successful since its return, and always has been successful since the musclecar heyday of the 60's!, I'm just not hearin' that!, besides, I would have seen an article about it here on the internet, yahoo news etc...
VayLoc310 2 years ago
i pmed u a link check it out dawg
SClassFinalFlash 2 years ago
I just checked out the link & I don't like what I'm reading, but as far as I'm concerned, that's hearsay!, nothing has been finalized, and Fiat only has a 20% share in Chrysler, & the article states that Marchionne only has plans to cancel the 5.7L Hemi, not the 6.1, but then again, if Marchionne cancels the Hemi, either one, I guarantee Chrysler will not sell nothin' here in the U.S.!, if people are going to drive fuel efficient cars, they're gonna drive Toyotas & Hondas!...
VayLoc310 2 years ago
And I think no matter what Chrysler does, they're not going to affect what Dodge does!, Dodge has been using the Hemi V8 since the 60's man!
VayLoc310 2 years ago
i think they might still use hemi engines but not as powerful as this one, and not forget in smaller, "economical" cars
Pajapajin 2 years ago
I think their V6's use the hemispherical head design now, but as far as the V8's are concerned, that foreign idiot Marchionne better not touch them!, cuz like I said, hot rodders will boycott Chrysler, Dodge, but there will still be loyal Mopar fans out here, and the prices and values of the old and NEW Dodge musclecars are going to soar!
VayLoc310 2 years ago
Headquartered in Auburn Hills, Mich., Chrysler Group LLC's product lineup features some of the world's most recognizable vehicles, including the Chrysler Town & Country, Jeep Wrangler and Dodge Ram. Fiat will contribute world-class technology, platforms and powertrains for small- and medium-sized cars, allowing Chrysler Group LLC to offer an expanded product line including environmentally friendly vehicles.
Ayrshirenutter 2 years ago
from dodge news last week......
Ayrshirenutter 2 years ago
VayLoc310 2 years ago
they hemi was created by chrsyler in the 1950s search it up on the chrysler 300!!! which they revived in 2005 and had hemi engine available. Its chyrsler LLC who calls da shots and they chose to revive the hemi!!
SClassFinalFlash 2 years ago
VayLoc310 2 years ago
STFU!
VayLoc310 2 years ago
VayLoc310 2 years ago
Dude, seriously research. The first application of the HEMI engine was in the 50's on a Chrysler C300. Chrysler is the parent company to Dodge. Walter P. bought out the Dodge brothers in 1928. Chrysler bought out AMC(Jeep) in 1987. Chrysler was the one who went back to the drawing board, and reworked their HEMI design. Chrysler the parent company applied that engine in Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep branded vehicles.
yepdcxrox 2 years ago
Man, I'm not even going to bother researching, cuz it's a damn shame what's happening and becoming of the whole Mopar family, I don't give a flyin' fishstick who bought who, Chrysler was in the back seat the whole time, especially during the musclecar era of the 60's!, they had no musclecar!, yeah, the Plymouth Barracuda carried a Hemi, but it was mostly Dodge vehicles who ADVERTISED the Hemi V8, who was the 1st to bring back the hemi V8 when the millenium began?, DODGE!, Big Horn & RumbleBee!
VayLoc310 2 years ago
Chrysler was "in the backseat". Chrysler is the company, Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, and Imperial were the brands at the time. Chrysler used the HEMI from 55 to the mid-70's. The fact is that Chrysler was the parent company, Dodge and Plymouth were the brands. Plymouths were just cheap Dodges. Dodge=Chrysler=Jeep=Plymouth=Imperial=Eagle=AMC. Thats the facts. Please look it up, you will not be so confused.
yepdcxrox 2 years ago
Dude, I'm not confused!, I'm goin' by what I saw happening in the automotive world, at least on the streets of Los Angeles, what cars had commercials being advertised on tv, and what cars were driven on the streets!, that's how I'm basing my judgement, like I said, I don't care who is the parent company, from what I've seen, it was dodge representing the Hemi V8!, and who re-birthed it in the beginning of the millenium!, like I said, Chrysler was in the back seat, THEY HAD NO MUSCLECAR!
VayLoc310 2 years ago
They're already confused, lol! The person probably fixes a flat tired with scotch tape.Don't waste your time with them. They just hate it when someone else proves them wrong and your right. That's what separates the ones who make things happen, and the ones who wonder what happend!!!
