  • Scientist also said that humans evolved from monkeys, but do you see me walking around telling people I'm part monkey or you're part gorilla? No.

People need to stop trying to tell other people what/who they are when its all just based on THEORIES not facts.

  • @Owb2009 AMEN BRUH AMEN!!!!!!!!!!

  • @tienetaala96 AMENE to you le malo suga! Ma oe? Hope all is well with u. Its nice to se more like minded idividuals on here hahaha

  • Malo lelei Tama si'i Tonga (Si'i) 2000BC-500BC, Talofa Samoa (Mao'i) 2000BC-500BC , Taloha Marquesas (Maoi) 100AD, aloha Hawaii (Maoli) 500AD & 1000AD (2 waves of migrations), Iorana Tahiti (Maohi) 300AD & Ki aroha New Zealand (Maori) 1000AD.

Quoted from: Peter Leiataua AhChing's website on Polynesian Origins and Migrations. The University of Hawaii person.

  • Yes Tongans, Samoans and all Polynesians this is your history as revealed by Science and Kings of Polynesia in King Taufaahau, King Malietoa, King Kalakaua, and King Kamehameha.

Quoted from: Peter Leiataua AhChing's website on Polynesian Origins and Migrations. The University of Hawaii person.

Thats how its recorded! Malo lelei !

  • The POLYNESIAN PAUSE in Samoa & Tonga, provided the period of the Samoa Polynesian genetics purification as the pure Polynesians from SAMOA, UPOLU & SAVAI'I moved into MARQUESAS 100AD and then TAHITI 300AD and to HAWAII 500 again from Tahiti & Samoa 1000AD according to King David Kalakaua in 1888. And then from SAMOA & TAHITI to Cook Islands to AOTEAROA 1000AD.

  • King Taufaahau will confirm this fact for he is part Samoan in his own admission to his Tongan People & to the Samoan people. In Tongan royal heritage, the Kings of Tonga would seek to marry women from Samoa, to as to keep the Polynesian Blood stronger, than the Melanesian blood. Yes Tonga, this is your factual heritage and royal traditions as proudly taught by Tonga Kings themselves. King Tupou Taufaahau of Tonga.

  • Thats why some areas of Tonga are more Polynesian or more Samoan-looking and Samoan speech-wise ( LAU ) than other parts of Tonga ( More African looking types - tight curly frizzy hair with black skin like in Fiji & Papua New Guinea & the Solomon islands ). The Brown Tongans look more like Samoans, speak a dialect very similar to Samoan, and they understand Samoan.

  • Tonga according to Genetics evidence in 2002, reveal its mix of Melanesian & Polynesian genetics since its settlement by the original inhabitants (not pure, as compared to the other pure Polynesians of Samoa and to the eastern Polynesia). Meaning, the Tongan people were Melanesians from Fiji who married Polynesian people from Samoa and procreated Polynesian-Melanesian children = the Tongans.

  • The mixture of Fijian & Samoan blood created the Tongan people. That is how Samoa & Tonga are related. Their difference is between the Melanesian influence from Fiji islands.

Hence the purity of Polynesian genes in the rest of Polynesia. Eastern Samoa with Tutuila & Manu'a, home of the Tui' Manu'a the highest Samoan prestige and Alii Matai Titles and Samoan Families.

  • Tonga is a mixtue of Samoans (Polynesians) and the Fijian people (Melanesians). Tonga is the place where the last Melanesian influence was most dominant. Melanesia halted in Tonga, as the Polynesian Samoans halted the migration of Melanesian influence into their lands and into eastern Polynesia ( MALIETOA the King of Samoa). Ua malie toa, malie tau! Tonga was first settled by Polynesians from Samoa, but got pushed out by the Melanesians of Fiji.

  • hiloboy u stupid ass fuc u prolly some white or chinese niga tryna claim that u hawaiian.and no samoans and filipinos and guamnians aint da same.u ah dumbass niga

  • funny because dwayne johnsons disguesting(hes part negroid) if you didnt know

  • TO ALL YOU MOTHERFUCKERS OUT THERE SAYING THAT WE SAMOANS ARE RELATED TO OR FITS IN OR CAME FROM ANOTHER RACE, ALL THAT IS BULLSHIT! ALL YOUR THEORIES, ARE BUNCH OF BULLSHIT! ARE YOU GOD?!? DID YOU CREATE THE EARTH?!? ARE YOU THE CREATOR OF ALL MANKIND?!? PUKI'O! I DONT THINK SO. AND TO nToni32 BITCH FUCK YOU AND YOUR STUPID THEORIES! KI'O, AUA LE FAI KALA FAAKUPU LOU SHIT!

  • where the fuck is the rest of the doc....

  • why do ppl constantly wanna label ppl and put them in a box or category we are who we are...Im A Samoan and I accept being called a polynesian however, thats where it finishes. I DO NOT CARE WHERE PPL BELIEVE MY PPL CAME FROM or WHAT GROUP MY LANGUAGE IS RELATED TO OR FITS IN.. stop telling us where your theories! yes they are ONLY theories say from ...as far as my grandparents are concerend Samoans come from Samoa lol...and thats all I believe LOL

  • God bless America

  • super juiced 0:11 seconds

  • That is why no one finds us until the late 1700. but the people that became our ancestors were people that were traveling towards the east or the west caught up in a hurricane right where the two current meet and their boat ended up is samoa. we located just 20 or 50 miles from where these two current meet. that is why we have so many hurricane back home because these two current brings the cold water from the north and meet with hot water cause hurricane.thats y its call samoa or sacred center

  • The Samoan blood of people from the west the American Indian and the people from the East, the Asian the Malaysian and the Indian of India if you wanna go that far. Samoa is located right below where the ocean current moving from the west meets with the current moving from the Indian ocean.

  • I still believe we're related to the Indians of the Americas, and my allegiance is obviously to the polys and my Indian brothers but we all came from God and at the end of the day, we're all related (from Noah -- descendant of Shem).

  • Im tough.....hehe

  • Here's my assumption.

Polys who have "nappy" hair similar to negroes have Melanesian ancestors.

Polys who have straight hair don't have that much Melanesian ancestors.

Melanesians were the first in the islands before Polys sailed from Taiwan(or South America based on some theory). As they sailed from Africa first haha.

"Mata" means Eye in every Austronesian sub group of language. The language consist of words repeating itself like "huruhuru" 4 e.g

SEAsian looks more Islander than Mongoloid.

  • are you polynesian?

  • I don't know man but every Samoan i've met resembles a really light negro, I dont like negro theyre just physical no brain people

  • yea and all indo-europeans are the same too....right, indians and danish/french/german are the same, is that what u are saying? just because polys may have lived in SE asia dosnt make ppl who live in SE asia now the same as the ones who where there b4...they try to bulk up 'stems' and give them many 'branches'...all scientists try to make a name for themselves so a lot of stuff comes and goes and gets updated..supposedly...

  • FYI- According to scientists based on culture and language we fall under a different category. Not polynesian but austronesian. Austronesian nations include: taiwan, all the filipine islands, guam, indonesia, malaysia, new zealand, parts of vietnam and cambodia, madagascar, samoa, tonga, fiji, cook island, hawaii, papa new guinea, etc. Hey we are all ohana.

  • oo god not another idiot like this Polyneasians are the same as filipinos. yes all langueses are part of the big austroneasian tree but there are sub trees to that with polyneasia for it self mealneasia for it self and microneasia for it self. FILIOS ARE NOT POLYNEASIAN!!! SO FUCKING STOP ACTING LIK YOU ARE!!!!

  • @Hiloboy456 fyi who cares what scientist say dont belive everytinhg you hear or see

  • @Hiloboy456 well the fuken scientists are dumb as fuck..we're polynesians

  • american samoa huh wt about the real samoa?

  • Joshjuice o le a le uiga lou kala real Samoa? E kukusa Amerika Samoa ma Western Samoa O kakou uma a SAMOA. Josh kago ia lou ufa ua i loa.

  • It wasn't until 30,000 years that Erasia was created - Southeast Asia at 50,000 years and the Bismark and Aboriginal at 70,000 - all of East Asia puts out around 50,000- 60- you put the label of admixture before you even thought about anthing-

It's not so simple - and to label it as such is just "LAZY"

  • God that reminds me I have to finish that summary Paper- Ok if you're gonna start some where why don't you start from the "Out of Africa" theory - ask questions like : "Where did the first Asians come from" Now if the Lapita are considered the first people out of Africa at 90,000 years - or the first Homo-Sapien. then what- The Northern regions were ice at 90,000 years populated with Homo-erectus

  • You know if it was 50 years ago you might be saying we're from America and were Indian, or South America- just because the trend of info. just 20 years ago it was said we were Atlantians- Mormons think you're some lost tribe from Israel LMAOOOOOOOOO - considering you're older than Israel- I don't think thats possible lol

  • Beeeeppppp - Wrong answer lol KariteGurl06 - nice try you win the door number 2! A free session of Hooked on Phonics!

  • Ahh thanks? I see connections we hold with our South East Asian cousins, and there is no denying the relationship we have. We hold similarities and customs, linguistics and genetics but very distantly. As For South American Indians, I wouldn't say we have anything in common, besides a few things we share such as the Kumara (which could have been retrieved by contact) and the chicken which we introduced to the Indians.

  • KariteGurl06 - Well if you're going to stand behind a definition - you might want to at lest help define it- Polynesian means many islands- so you just said you are "Many Islands" People are yes "People" but you're confusing the topic here, the topic was not about feeling of community- it was about History.

  • Thank you, and yes I know the meaning of Polynesian, but then you have to understand why only a few Islands in the South Pacific are branded with the terms. As for for those living in Polynesia we share nearly the same language, customs and traditions and ancestors compared to those in Micronesia and Melanesia. The history is very broad, and if anyone is to explain it in detail they would confuse themselves because of the many unanswered questions which stay rhetorical to this day.

  • Karite..did you say Science needs to stop? are you serious? you do know you sound like another idiot right?

  • I said scientists need to stop trying to tell us where we come from, because at the end of the day we are still going to be Polynesian. I could care less where we come from but for other people to say that two other ethnic groups formed us Polys is outrageously rude. I'm not an idiot, I'm voicing my opinion and what I know about my ancestors history. It's nothing to fight over. I believe Polys already existed and that indeed we came from a route via S E A, from Taiwan.

  • Your comment is far over simplified-

please try and do some research , there is far far far far far more to it.

  • maybe instead of just reading whats put out for you- you could look into more you know- Southeast Asia is INDO -ASIA, INDO CHINESE, Indonesian ya know-

INDIA AND ASIA have a LONG History together , lets see here- The largest populated places on earth right next to the heart of Polynesia..hmmmm

  • Why don't you head over the YOUTUBE video of traditional tattoos of Borneo and then head to the Traditional Tattoos of Samoa- We are proud to be next to Fijians , but don't just read a few articles

by journalists who had a deadline to publish.

  • You read 2-3 articles and thought polynesians are an admixture? First off the Polynesian Area or triangle holds other groups catagorized as Polynesian like Fijians- There are some islands with closer traits to Melansesia and can be talked about as Polynesian because of the location inside the Polynesian Triangle- Samoans have closer traits to Southeast Asians and East Asian so do Tongans and Maori

  • I think its stupid to state exactly where we came from. Even if that was the case, I wouldn't think its relevant to us polys today. We are our own people, we are not South East Asian, we are not even Asian we are Polynesians. That may have been the case 10,000 years ago but we aren't in that era, we have moved on and we have our own languages, customs and trditions. Scientist need to stop trying to tell us where we descended from because at the end of the day we are still Polynesians.

  • KariteGurl06 anyway goodluck - peace out

  • asian mixed wit melanesians tat create polynesia........why do we Samoans and tongans have curly hair.......exactly because of our black blood from the melanesians.......

  • true dat... :) Go Polynesians !!!!

  • Comment removed

  • True, but not Eastern Polynesians. Melanesians only intermixed with Western Polynesian countries, that being Samoa, Tonga, Tokelau and Tuvalu. This was because of the trading triangle formed between the islands in that area, but Melanesian genetics did not form Polynesians and we are not a complete admixture. The Polynesian culture we know today already existed even before Melanesians intermixed with Polynesians in the West. We have adapted some of their customs but rarely.

  • LOL. maddest short clip.

the maoris how to defeat us.

  • tamatonga808 Tonga still has an empire? Samoans needed help from the Maoris to defeat Tongans? I dont even think Maoris existed during the Samoan and Tongan War both Samoa and Tonga are a way older race then Maoris....... Samoa defeated Tonga something crucial lol Malietau Malietoa.......

  • Samoa ruled Tonga as well the Tu'i Manu'a Empire influence/rule was at one time or another felt throughout all of Samoa, Tonga, the Niuas/Niue, the Marquesas, Fiji, Rotuma, the Cook Islands, Uvea, Futuna, Tokelau, and Rurutu. Tu'i Manu'as Empire was known as the Manuatele (Great Manu'a) and the Faleselau (House of Hundreds). Tu'i Manu'a is mentioned in Eastern Polynesia as "Manuatere", and mentioned as Manuka in Tonga and the Cook Islands.

  • what the hell ?? Dude, Polynesian language is part of Austronesian language... Samoan , Tongan and Eastern Polynesia are classified under "Oceanic Malayo-polynesian languages".while Oceanic malayo-polynesia is classified under Austronesian language. Please dun fool other people who didn't recieve enough education about this....You Samoans and Tongans should get along well...Common you guys are Polynesians... • oh! and one more thing.. in samoa theres a ancient wall cald the pa o samoa. built by the 4 paramount chiefs. fale faa. (the pillers) malie toa is one of the pillers. y was the built??? yep one point to that stupid samoan over there lol protection against Tonga

  • 6gunwalker its not called Pa o samoa was built as a defense when warring with Fiji and Tonga......... Samoans looked at Fijians & Tongans as one people for Fiji and Tonga were allies......

  • 6gunwalker Samoa ruled Tonga as well, the Tu'i Manu'a Empire influence/rule was at one time or another felt throughout all of Samoa, Tonga, the Niuas/Niue, the Marquesas, Fiji, Rotuma, the Cook Islands, Uvea, Futuna, Tokelau, and Rurutu. Tu'i Manu'as Empire was known as the Manuatele (Great Manu'a) and the Faleselau (House of Hundreds). • 6gunwalker true the it was a surprise attacc but the surprise attacc was only the start of a big war....... After the surprise attacc the Tongans gathered all of their warriors, battle's broke out in Upolu were Tongans were slaughtered, battles broke out in Savaii where many more Tongans were slaughtered the Samoans & Tongan war was Big..... and Samoa won the war

  • got kicked out of samoa.. making the tongan "occupation" last for only a generation.. don't worry i'll find that website.. also the current tongan family are descendants of tuikanokupolu (flesh of upolu)

  • Tongas warriors were driven westward from Aleipata, Upolu all the way to the coast of Mulifanua where the King and his warririors were cornered against the sea.... fatu, tuna and savea sons of Atiogie who lead the fight granted the King passage to the breaking reefs.. This is where the King praised the brothers in a Tongan speech yelling "Malie tau Malie TOA"

  • Samoans fight better when we're drunk...or at least that when we usually do our fighting....LMAO But remember this...Tongans are all half Melanesian and half Polynesian. Samoans are pure blooded Polys. :P :)

  • google emancipation of tonga.. click on the first result.. it is written my a tongan professor.. a very similar history was told to me by my coach (a tongan nopele)..

read the third paragraph.. it explains the start of tongan empire.. and the fourth paragraph talks about the 11th tuitonga that "occupied" samoa.. tu'itatui(11th tuitonga) had a grandsonson and his name was talakaifaiki.. its funny how the official tongan website took that list down backing this.. anyways it was talakaifaiki who

  • Tuna and Fata were half Sa half Tokelaun. Their father sent them to Samoa to retrieve their two sisters, they used there finely tuned tactical war skills to help co-ordinate the war against the Tongans.

  • sinnahj Tuna and Fata were full Samoan..... They were from Samoa the island of Savai'i to be exact..... Tokelauan's are Samoan.......

  • hahah...how the &%$% u think tongans got to america,,,dumb azz...AMERICAN SAMOA,,b1tch, u alwayz be in our shadow..just b grateful, ..we let u rule uz for a lil while..then u tried to get tuff..so we cut your headz off..and stuck them in spearz on the beach..n the rest swam away to a rock called tonga..lmao

  • AvEuSo1 Tu'i Manu'a from Samoa ruled Tonga and many islands long before the Tu'i Tonga came about...... Tu'i Manu'a from Samoa started the Tongan Royal Family by having a son with a Tongan lady...... he named their son Asoaitu (Samoan) Ahoeitu (Tongan) who later grew up and freed Tongans from Samoa and later became ruler of Tonga.....

  • issac iz from samoa bitch, kik ass mother fucker

  • 6gunwalker Tu'i Manu'a is known throughout all Samoan History he was one of the first Polynesian rulers........ Your Tongan Royal family started off of Tu'i Manu'a....... thats why Tongans looked at Manu'a Samoa as ancient and sacred........

  • SAMOANS KING OF POLYNESIAN!!!!!!!!

  • Samoans were built to be loving, charismatic, free spirited, truth loving worshipers. Then I see young samoan men and woman covered in blue and red talking about "i'll kill a slob, or i'll kill a crab." or even "sos killa or pvcc killa" What pride do we have in that?
