I owned one of the big Meteors for like a year already. It's a GREAT amp, It really worths every penny. A good friend of mine bought the Sonny Jr one, he doesn't use his, I love mine (not trying to throw any dirt on anyone here). As any other amp the more u play it the better it sounds. It has a great bottom sound and you won't need no pedals at all, no humming nor feedback. Plus it's been built like a tank with prime parts. I had a Bassman first year reissue and a Masco but I'm kept this instea
Hi Harpsucker, sorry I've been so long getting back to you. The only place I know that sells the Rocktronic is ESE Music, Maidstone, Kent, U.K. They cost £169 and they are a good bunch of guys at ESE. Google ESE Music.
Another guy contacted me who had altered the tone circuit, swapped a 12AX7 for an AT7 and ran with 2 8's and a 10 inch speaker. Reckoned it was awsome for harp.
Your amp videos are really interesting, keep 'em coming.
Thanks so much for these amp videos. They are great for finding the sound you want, you just go through and compare! Watch out for some of the amps from China. I bought a 'Rocktronic Tweed 3o',
2x6L6 2x12AX7 single channel, 1x12'' spkr. Looks like a Fender 57 Deluxe and sounds great for harp. Mind you, also bought a Hayden 40 Peacemaker, great for guitar and lousy for harp but is the best looking and put together amp I've ever seen.
thats a slightly out of tune octave in the upper register, William Clarke used this sound a lot , but it only works well when you got an amp with some good distortion
most harps are not really in tune its like a piano, when you know what i mean, you can tune with a tuner and then you play and it is just sounding awful, you can try different ways of tuning, either the higher or the lower note of the upper octave
ok thats right, but give somebody else your setup and let him play he always will have another tone, then you see its more the player that makes the tone, but it feels so good to have some nice gear, thats right
The Idian would starve without a good bow & i thought your clips were more about the Bow than the Idian? The people who are intrested in what the amps are like are the people who watch your clips
the 50W got much more bass and bottom and for sure lots of power, the Mini Meat tone is more bright, but who cares its the indian not the bow, anyway, i only played the prototyp, Scott told me the Mini Meat he is selling sounds much fatter, you have to try one, Best T.

After all the amps you've tested do you have a "most favorite"? Are you familiar with the Sonny Jr amps? If so, what are your thoughts on that one?

i owned the first Sonny Jr, and i hated it, traded it for a THD Bassman

So where are you from? Very nice playing.
I own a Meteor. Did yours have a very noticable "hum" going on? Mine hums so loud that you have to put it on standby if the band's not playing.

this is the prototype i visit Scott in his factory, i dnever owned a MiniMeat
